Hello everyone! ^^ To celebrate Mockingjay Part 1 coming out soon and just general love for the Hunger Games I thought we could do an event similar on WCRPG. I'll explain how it will work in a hastily typed overview.

-Every clan (front board and backboard) will select two members from their clans by any means the clan leader sees fit. Examples for selection would be like drawings, simple opinions, votes, short contest, whatever.
-Then all of the contestants and company would travel to the area where the games will be hosted. Here is where they will stay until the games begin.
-First they can create threads for pre-games training and teachers may help teach the contestants things such as medicine or fighting.
-After training the contestants will each individually show a special skill or talent to judges and will receive a score.
-Then the contestants will be dressed up by stylist from their own clans and attend interviews where they will be asked questions by the hosts.
-After the interviews the contestants will be allowed to form alliances in an alliance building thread.
-Once alliances are formed and official, it won't be long until the games began. There can only be one winner.

I used to roleplay on a hunger games rpg site, so I know basically how to run a hunger games scenario. There are more details but I'll explain it all more in depth after I get opinions and when I can break it down. I was planning to have my character Kidd from the Skulls host it along with one other host that still needs to be determined. If my characters hosts than it'd be easier for me to get things to run smoothly. Each clan would need to supply two contestants and stylists. I was thinking all character could attend the interview event and periodically character that aren't contestants will be given chances to vote and give the contestants scores. I'll explain more on that concept as well, later.

What do you guys think? Feedback?

Though I imagine there'd have to be other rules to keep it fair, like no shapeshifting or powers or no mutations or something. cx

  • Oh yay some people are interested! :)

Yep, there would. I thought of maybe only allowing a maximum of three powers to be used in the arena so it'd be fair for people who don't have all the powers.

Also another BIG point I forgot to mention. I don't like loosing my character and I'm sure most others don't either so I considered making it a rule for participants in the games to have the ability to absorb spirits and once they lost one life they'd be disqualified and out of the games. That way your character can participate without actually dying. :D

  • Well, I think this is an amazing idea and I'm going to make RadicalClan participate if this happens. I really hope this idea doesn't fall apart.

[align=center][size=8]you'd have to get staff permission for that; I can bring it up if you'd like.

Oh, which part would need staff permission? Is it the restriction on powers? But yes if you could do that that would be helpful. :)

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0; overflow: auto; width: 350px; height:][justify][size=10][sup]It may be a good idea to limit the bodies one could use too. Just to level the field. Something like only medium-sized dogs or regular cats or something. cx

  • [align=center][size=8]no, you'd need staff's permission to hand out powers for an event; I'll go bring it up now, though.

and as a general reminder, members can regulate / put rules on their own threads without consequence! if you want a thread with only cats / dogs, go for it =)

Yeah, that'd be a good. It could be limited to small felines and canines and if a contestant wanted to use a larger body than it would have to count for one of the three powers they can select. And dragons and such should be flat out banned. I don't see how one of those things would die.

Thankyou! I was hoping the chosen tributes would already have brought the ability to absorb spirits so it wouldn't have to be handed out, but it would be good to have permission just in case.
