  • A young Kittypet, Sophie by name, was balancing herself on her fence. She always did this, ever since she was a kit. Her brother, Andy, always told her that she was a stupid one, but she never listened to him.

While balancing on the fence, Sophie remembered something Andy had told her, something about feral cats that lived in the forest. Did they really exist? What were they like? Would she ever see them?

With these questions in mind, she paced the fence, eventually jumping off to her yard and warm home. Settling down to sleep, she dreamed about the forest and the feral cats.

  • May I join? :D

IvyKit asked WillowFlower why, and she told her that she wasn't her real mother, and that they found her. IvyKit then got sad and the other kits teased her. As an apprentice, 8 moons, she left the clan and dropped "paw" out of her name and just went by Ivy.
    Other- hi!

  • ^^ sure!

Ivy was sitting down, watching the sun rise inbetween the trees. It had been a few sunrises since she had left the clan, and was enjoying it. "At least there are no more cats teasing me anymore." She meows, and stood up, streached, and started running

  • Sophie padded down her neighborhood street, her collar jingling as she walked. Suddenly, she smelled a strange scent, as if another cat was around. "Hmm, I wonder what they're doing out here. Maybe they just got lost." Flicking her tail, she kept smelling, eventually ending up at a field. When she saw Ivy running, Sophie smiled. "There you are." She sat down and started to lick herself.

  • Ivy skidded to a halt, as she heard another cat calling. She turned expecting to see a coat from her former clan trying to convince her to come back, but instead saw another cat. "Hello." She meowed

  • Sophie meowed a reply and kept licking herself, eventually running her paw over her face. "What are you doing out here at this time of day? It's a little odd for one such as you to be out here by yourself."

  • "Well, I just like to wake up early and watch the sun rise. It gets cold, and running warms me up." Ivy replied.

  • "That's understandable," Sophie replied with a twitch of her ear. "I thought you were one of those feral cats I heard from my brother about. Are they really as cruel as they seem?"

  • Ivy twitched an ear. "Feral? You mean like one of the clans? If so, their not cruel. They just want to protect their territory." She meowed. "If it is, then I'm not in a clan." She silently added "anymore." But in a normal voice, "im just a loner."

  • Sophie nodded, then yawned slightly. "Well, if you're not in a clan then I guess you can't be like that. Loner, eh? Well, good luck with your life." She turned away and started to head back to her home.

  • Ivy watched Sophie leave. She stood there for a moment, but then started running again. She enjoyed the wind blowing in her face, and spotted a rabbit. She slowed down till she was crouching down, taking long strides. Ivy then took off running, chasing the rabbit.

  • Sophie returned to her home and sat on her porch, thinking about Ivy. Why wasn't she with a clan? Would they ever cross paths again? If they did, would Ivy want Sophie to join her? With these questions in mind, Sophie settled down for a nap.

  • The rabbit squeiled as it saw Ivy, and took off. Ivy though was ready, and booted off after it. She was gaining on it, and finally she leaped and landed on it. It squeiled, but Ivy cut it off when she grabbed it's throat. She stood up panting, but pleased at her catch and crouched down, starting to eat.

  • Sophie snored, and as she slept she dreamed of cats like Ivy surrounding her, meowing in praise. She couldn't make out what they were saying, but it sounded like a name.

  • Ivy stood up from the rabbit. She had pretty much filled herself up, so she buried the rest of the rabbit, so a fox wouldn't scent it. She then padded over to a bush, and layed under it. She thought about Sophie. That was nice. she thought Thag was pretty much the first cat who hasn't looked at me like I was diffrent or said something mean about me. Just because I wasn't born in the clan. she thought crossly. if anything, I was more diffrent from her then I was to my former clanmates.

  • Sophie padded around the neighborhood, meowing cordial hellos to the other cats who lived there. She avoided a certain cat, Bruno, because he would bully other cats and steal their food.
