  • "well I'll leave you guys to rest." Berrywing meowed. She turned and exited the nursery. Looking around she let her eyes fell on Blizzardstar. Her blue eyes were soft.

  • :"Frostkit is almost six moons old...and I was wondering, could I possibly mentor her?" The she-cat asked as she glanced at the kit. Frozenpelt(FORGOT HIS NAME XD) listened to the conservation and the tom's tail flicked slightly

  • Blizzardstar met Berrywing's gaze and gave her a soft, kind smile. Turning back to the deputy, he shrugged. "I wasn't sure whether she'd be staying here permenantly or not. I was thinking she'd leave once she could hunt for herself. I don't even know how we'd train a fox." His words weren't meant to be unkind, he just generally didn't know how they'd handle traing a fox to live with them. "I don't even know if it would be safe for the kits or not once she gets older and instincts take over."

Icefeather dipped her head to the other queen and smiled. She wrapped her tail around Sleetkit & tugged Driftkit closer by tugging at his tail with her teeth as he teetered on the edge of her nest, trying to sneak peeks at the newborn kits.

  • Berrywing smiled kindly "I say give her a chance.. If all else goes bad we all will protect this clan at any cost." she meowed. She hoped it wouldn't come to that.

  • He sighed lowering his gaze. "I don't know if its worth risking the lives of kits." He glanced at the nursery and his heart ached. "My sister has already lost so much. If she lost her kits because of a decision I made, I'd never forgive myself. I promised her mate that I'd protect them."

  • He shrugged. "I'm still not sure. I don't know if the instinct of foxes won't take over, once prey gets scarce. And now it isn't just Icefeather and her kits in there. But, she isn't an apprentice yet, we still have a while to go." He looked at the nursery again and sighed. "I don't mean to upset anyone, but its always my clan that I put first."

  • He dipped his head to her. "I know I did invite her in, so its my burden to bear. I have to make a decision eventually." He settled with his head on his paws. As the chill of the ice beneath him settled in, he wrapped his tail over his nose. It was times like this that he missed the gentle closeness of sharing a nest with his mother and his sister. He would do anything to share his nest and problems again.
