"We need to get back to camp before another one of us is sent to StarClan." He went over and supported Snowytail from a side, watching the other cats intently. "Let's bring Zeropaw back to camp so the Clan can mourn him," he meowed to Hollyfoot in a gentler tone than before.

He then looked to his leader. He quickly assessed her condition before looking toward the others. "Can we just get back to camp so you can finish your discussion there? We all need to see the medicine cat and the sooner we get treated, the better."

    "You're right. We need to get back to camp." Leaning on her left side, she limped over to Hollyfoot to try and help shoulder the weight. Tears sprung to her eyes at the bite of pain, and the dead apprentice. "I'm sorry this happened to you." She whispered in Zeropaw's ear. "So, so sorry."

    Finally, they reached camp and Robinstar collapsed from exhaustion. The walk hadn't seemed far on the way there but she was drained now.

    Hawkflash could smell blood even over the strong scent of his herbs. "Mistpaw. Some cat is hurt, lets go!" He grabbed some marigold and cobwebs before rushing out of his den. It didn't take him long to spot the injured patrol entering the camp. "What happened?!" He asked as he started checking out all the wounds.


    Emberpaw watched the scene from afar, but he didn't move a muscle other than his jaws as he munched down a mouse. It sure was tasty. He was curious as to what happened, sure, but the apprentice knew he would just be in his uncle's way if he went up there. They would announce what happened soon anyways. A small, broken body suddenly caught his eye. Zeropaw! The clawless apprentice couldn't be dead...

He mewed calming words into her ears as she winced in pain from each step. "Please, help Robinstar first," he told the medicine cat, gesturing to their leader. The rest of us aren't that badly hurt."


    Snowytail leaned against her littermate to hold herself up, silently gazing at him with her blue eyes. Why didn't he say anything about me? she wondered. It felt odd considering that he was usually so overprotective of her.
