ic: "Yes, I hope so," Bluestripe meowed softly, following the other two cats. His blue eyes looked confident, but there was ever such a tiny flicker of worry in his eyes. He stayed at the back of the patrol, watching and listening to see if any cats were around.
Understanding the she-cat wanted to take the lead, she fell back in stride with Bluestripe as they continued walking.

His ears flattened on top of his head and he inhaled deeply. "It's fresh," he noted aloud. But where are they? he wondered to himself. And where is our border patrol?
ooc: Blustripe can mentor Blackpaw, sure. And I'm not sure who's on the patrol besides Snowtail, and what's going to happen to them. Any ideas?
OOC: Just some random warriors on the patrol. We find them pretty roughed up and then were ambushed and we overpower them.
IC: Robinstars heart pounded. She could feel them watching. A weak mewl sounded from her right and she padded over to investigate. Snowtail was laying down under a bush, her paw twisted and scratches on her torso. "Bluestripe!" Robinstar yowled.

He turned to ask why his leader had called his name and he saw it, his breath locking in his throat. "Snowtail..." he meowed softly in disbelief. The gray tom rushed over to his injured littermate, his eyes wide and his senses unclear, his mind filling with thoughts of her.
Snowtail looked over at her brother, hearing his quiet mew. She saw the eyes of their attackers around them. They were surrounded. As a single cat leaped out from the shadows, she yowled to her clanmates, "Behind you!"

Robinstar whipped around, but too late. A large, black tom had her by her neck. He flung her into a tree and then advanced. Disoriented and startled, Robinstar couldn't move. The impact had knocked the breath out of her and she was fighting for her breath. His claws sunk into her side and she yowled as he clawed at her pelt as she tried without success to fend him off.

He and his attacker, a she-cat, rolled a few tail-lengths before they both struggled to get on top. He eventually pinned her down and clawed at her soft underbelly, making her yowl.
Snowtail watched, doing anything to keep her distracted from the wounds on her body. She decided to stay on the ground, knowing that she was in no shape to fight.

Ic: A red tabby with bright green eyes started to rush at Zeropaw. This tom obliviously fought Zeropaw before and knew of his weakness. Hollyfoot lunged at this cat and snarled. She had a paw on its throat and sucsessfully killed him. As Hollyfoot breathed heavily from just fighting with a a silver tabby she cat ran at Hollyfoot and pinned the black cat down. The silver cat sliced Hollyfoot's shoulder open and started laughing. "You are weak." She growled at Zeropaw getting off of Hollyfoot. "You have no claws! I'll put you out of your misery." The tabby jumped towards Zeropaw and almost made it until Hollyfoot shoved the Shadowclanner into a tree.
"That'll teach you no won't it." The black cat hissed

He looked back at Hollyfoot and shook his head as he saw the dead ShadowClan cat. Was that really necessary? he asked silently. He then made a dash for the cat that had attacked Robinstar, his teeth finding their way into his scruff as he began to pull the large tom off of his leader.
Robinstar saw Bluestripe coming toward her. She was lucky to be alive; the tom was huge and obviously ruthless. She saw dead cats lying around and tears pricked her eyes. Why did they have to die? Couldn't they resolve the issue with a meeting? But she knew they wanted their territory and were going to do whatever it took to get it. This was the beginning of a war.

Ic: Angelwing went out hunting and heard Hollyfoot yowl in pain as much larger cat jumped onto her back. Angelwing leaped on his side shoving him over and licking Hollyfoot. Zeropaw looked up to see his big sister and smiled until and large tom jumped on him. There was a loud crack in Zeropaws back and every cat went silent.

Robinstar yowled in pain and sadness. She heard the crack and knew either the apprentice was already dead or would be soon if help didn't come. Fueled by adrenaline, she pulled up her hind legs and thrust forward, propelling the cat off and sinking her claws deep into his soft underbelly. He yowled and stumbled toward his border, a trail of blood left behind. Robinstar, now free, staggered toward the fallen apprentice.
