my mom just told me that most people find saying "no problem" instead of "you're welcome" to be rude/sound assholish
apparently it connotes dismissal of the other person and, like, denies their thanks
i legitimately had no idea of this, i thought it was just a synonym of "you're welcome" with the benefit of not sounding as formal
oh god i've been saying it for 2+ years both as a wcrpg geneticist and irl
i apologize to anyone i may have unwittingly offended.
(mods if this is in the wrong board please move it, i just put it the first place i could think of)
