Dodger trotted out the door but saw a horse passed out on the front lawn.He began to bark making Josh come."What is it boy" the brown haired boy asked.Josh was dressed in a red plaid shirt,along with some blue jeans and brown shoes.He saw the brown and white horse on the ground of the front lawn and rushed over to it.A dark hair girl that look like she was around 12 came out,"What's going on Josh"
"Dodger you this horse.We need to get it to the barn.Get mom and tell her to get the hoist

Emily nodded and ran inside to get the mother.Josh whistled as he tried to get the horse to wake up,"Hey there,come on wake up girl" he said in a gentle voice as he kneed down to the horse.He noticed Dodger came over to help with a bucket of water in his mouth."Good thinking boy".He dipped his hands in the water then sprinkled the water and the horse's face to help it wake up to

"Easy girl,we're not going to hurt you.We just wanna help you" he said before noticing his mom coming with the horse hoist.Josh put up his hand saying stop and she did.He got up and tried to make himself not look dangerous or threatening

Josh noticed the horse had cuts before he whistled a short time to Dodger.Dodger knew what to do,the collie put the bucket down and ran inside before returning with a bag of carrots.The canine gave Josh the bag and he took out a carrot,"You must be hungry girl.Here" he said as he point the carrot to the brown and white horse

"Come on girl.If you follow me then I'll give you a place to sleep" he said before backing up a few feet to the barn."Mom,can you get the bandages and meet me in the barn please".Jane nodded before leaving with the hoist.Josh then took out to more carrots before giving the bag back to Dodger who,ran inside the house with the bag.Josh made sure the horse was following him before completely walking to the barn and opening the door

Josh led the way to the horse stables where horses of every color,breed and shape laid and he went to an empty stall,"Come on in and we'll have some bandages to stop the bleeding" he said as he stepped out of the way to let the brown and white horse in.Just then,Jane came in with a roll of bandages."Thanks mom".
"Now,remember what I told you"
"I remember.Wrap it tight around the wound but not too tight" he said before smiling,seeing his mother nod in agreement

"She looks tired.Let's let her get some rest and I'll go see if she has an owner" he heard his mother say before she left.Josh nodded before looking at the horse as she yawned then raised an eyebrow.He saw her white teeth and wondered how that could be since when he looked at horses' teeth,they would always yellow but he then figured she must be a show horse and her owner pampered her.He then heard shouting and knew it must have be his brother Danny.He looked over to the source of the shouting and saw his brother riding a brown stick horse with a black man,"Gitty up Ranger" the young boy cried out.Josh smiled as he saw his young brother,knowing he wanted to be a cowboy.
"Howdy there partner"
"Howdy.Who is horse" he said as he looked at the brown and white horse
"We're not sure but if we're going to find her owner"
"What if you can't"
"Then we'll have to give her a name and she'll join the family.She's tired so let's give her time to rest and let's rustle up some grub" he said before closing the stall door.
Danny smiled as he nodded before getting picked by Josh and escorted out the horse barn

Josh put down Danny down when they entered the living room where his mother on her grey laptop on the couch.He watched his brother run off before he walked over to his mother,"Did you find anything mom" he asked as he sat down on the couch by her.Jane shook her head as she continued to look at the laptop screen,"Nope,there hasn't been any reports of a lost horse or any lost animals but we might have to sale her when she get better since we have too many animals" she said as he looked at him.
"Wait mom,no.She could be my first horse"
"I thought you wanted that black stallion named Titan"
"Well,I change my mind.I think this horse is really special"
"Josh,I already made the call and paid the one who owns him"
"Please mom.I'll do anything"
"You'll clean up after all the horses and plow for the crops for a whole year"

"Ok then,I'll cancel the order".

Josh smiled and hugged his mother,"Your the best mom" he said as he smiled."Yea yea but also have to cook tonight while I cancel the order" she said before looking back at the screen.Josh nodded understanding before getting up and going up and heading to the kitchen.He looked at the clock and as that it was around 7 then saw the sun was beginning to set out the window and knew what he had to make.He got out some pots and pans and after cooking,it was finally done.He made some mash potatoes with gravy,green beans and steak that was bought for the store.They would always buy their meats from the store since they would treat their animals like family and no one would eat their family.He then poured Dodger and Lily's food and whistled for them.The dogs came running in and began to eat."The food's done" he called out then heard the small footsteps of his brother and sister come towards the kitchen.He smiled when he saw them take their seats and he sets their plates down were they sat then saw his mom walked in then sets her plate down before he grabbed his plate and sat down."Josh did make this meal so let's thank him and just hope he didn't mess anything up" his mother said playfully as she smiled.Josh siblings smiled too including Josh himself and the two thanked him before they all dug into their meal

A rooster crows out loudly to start everyone's day from the residents of the farm and riding school to the animals of the farm and the horses of the riding school.Josh woke up to the rooster that helped everyone's day.He rubbed his eyes before letting a yawn and stretching then a reminder popped up in his head,it was the beginning of the weekend-Saturday-but that didn't mean he could put off work.He got it his bed a picked out his clothes before getting his towel and washcloth to take a shower.After his shower,he walked out the bathroom with a black button shirt a blue jeans.He went in his room and put on a pair of socks before going downstairs where he saw his mother and siblings already eating breakfast.He took his seat and after they talked and ate,Josh and his siblings went outside while their mother washed the dishes.Dodger did join Danny to play with him and watch over him while Josh and Emily went around feeding the animals then they finally got to the horse stables,"Time to wake up everyone" the young girl yelled out as she smiled

One by one,they put on a horse's halter and use the lead rope to escort them to the pasture-of course Emily taking the smaller horse and Josh taking the bigger ones.Soon every horse was out except for their newest horse and Josh came to check on her,"Hey girl,its your leg feeling better" he asked as he walked to her stall
