I am about to make my character (who's calling is happiness) and I had a couple questions before I start.
1. So should his personality be care-free and optimistic, or should it be the opposite because he has to achieve happiness through all of his melancholy?

2. Does it matter if he is a light wanderer or night wanderer?

It doesn't matter whether he's a light wanderer or a night wanderer I don't think. The whole point of this thread is that it doesn't matter if your light or dark, neither are evil or good. Did I get that right Darkmagic? I hope I did.

Calculating
Roman is always watching. When he is not apart of the action, he is sitting back and watching, waiting. He is always one to have a plan, and scopes out the scene and calculates the situation before acting. This trait enables him to be a master strategist, devising excellent schemes for any situation.

Cold
Roman comes off as a cold-hearted person. I mean, what would you expect from someone who has never experienced happiness? He has feelings though. He can feel love, and hate, and anger, and excitement, and although he does, he keeps it hidden inside. He doesn't want to get close to people, as when he does they always seems to leave or hurt him. So, he pushes them away, giving off the trait of coldness.

Brutally honest
Roman is a confident person. As he should be, growing up with riches and power. So of course, he is not afraid or the least bit hesitant to speak his mind. Liking to be perceived as cold, his brutal honest helps with the execution of making it seem like he doesn't care. He seems to not care who he will hurt with his cutting honesty. But he feels its easier to just rip the band aid off then try to do it slowly, per say.

Bored
Although he has grown up in elaborate riches and fortune, Roman was always bored. And is still. He has always wanted, not more fortune, but more excitement. It's the closest thing he can get to happiness, and so he will always pursue the most daring and exciting of quest to try and achieve his calling. Nothing ever seems to do the trick though.

Pessimistic
It should be no surprise that someone who has never felt happiness is pessimistic. Roman seems to think that when everything seems to be going wrong, if you look on the darker side of things, when good things start to happen they seem brighter. He'd not necessarily moping around and depressed all the time though. Roman views hope as a weakness, that if you are hopelessly hoping, it will just make it harder when what you're hoping will not happen, happens.

Mysterious/ closed off
Roman thinks that if you show feelings, that it is a weakness. A way for people to figure you out and use them against you. He believes it makes it easier for everyone if he does not open up to them. They can't hurt him, and he can't hurt them.

Protective
The only trait that gives a hint that he, the cold-hearted rich boy, might actually care. Although he pushes people away so that they will not care about him, he can not push his own feelings away about them. He can feel jealously and love and compassion, he views them as a weakness yes, but he can still feel these for people. If he ends up loving or befriending someone, he goes all in despite himself, and will always protect them. Roman can come off as a bit too protective and rude sometimes though.

History
Roman grew up in a rich family, born to a Lord and a Lady. He never had many hard-ship though, and his parents loved him. They tried there best to make him happy, but to their disappointment, their boy never was. They had two other children, Roman's little brother Ashton and little sister Aiya. Roman loved his family and they loved him. But it seemed to tear his mother and father apart that they couldn't make him happy, which in turn tore him apart as well, as he thought something was drastically wrong with him. His mother and father fell very ill when he was sixteen, and died soon after. Roman inherited all their riches, and the title as a Lord as well. But how could he be happy? Roman became more closed off after that, as he saw how much he had hurt his parents when they could not make their eldest son happy. He didn't want to hurt anyone like that again.
