  • Demetri walked around. He usaully wasn't this bored. " So, how did you get the letter?'' Demetri asks as they walk around.'' Well, I was in the store, when I found it.'' she says. Demetri nods.

Raquelle puts her hands in her black jacket pockets.'' Radley, how did you get your letter? If you don't mind answering that.''

Edward walks around. '' This is boring.'' he murmered. Why can't they just take your blood and know what element. That would be easy. This, will take forever. Especially since there were thousands of kids. Edward kept on cvomplaining.

  • Kevin heard Edward's complaining and sighed, he looked over at the pale student "It could be worst." Kevin said, he thought for a moment "No it couldn't." Kevin corrected.

  • '' For crying out loud, this can take up to hours.'' Edward complained to Kevin.

''It's hot. I'll be right back, watch the kids. Mr. Craig walked inside and to his classroom. He took a big bucket of ice and coke and bags of popped popcorn. He walked outside with it. He set up a table with the drinks and food on it. He stood next to Clyde.

  • Clyde looked at the food and drinks "If that was for me, it wouldn't still be standing there."

Kevin looked at the tables that had the food and drinks "Well, at least there is food."

  • megan's jaw dropped open a little as she saw the food. she hadn't eaten since breakfast, and that was a long time for her. her hand went to her stomach; it began to rumble. she went a bright shade of red for a few seconds before taking a look at the other students. they all looked a lot calmer than she did. she clenched her fists under her jacket and waited patiently.

ooc: megan's last name starts with a 'b', so where would she be in this queue?

  • [color=mediumaquamarine][font=georgia]"Oh, well, my letter? I found it in a niche in a tree in Central Park. It was kinda strange and cool at the same time." He said, shifting his backpack to the opposite shoulder. "How'd you get yours?"

[color=purple]Ms. Kinnaman sighed. She wished there was a faster way to get all these students processed. She smiled slightly, thinking back on her first day. She had been called relatively quickly; there were only a few D's and other letters before K that year. But some of the other kids, they were out there for hours.

  • megan moved forward with anticipation. she was next. if only the guy getting tested currently could hurry up... she glanced down at her hand, which was twitching and freaking out by her shorts pocket. "urgh..." she groaned in exasperation. finally the boy in front of her walked away from the stand and up the stairs. megan bounced forward eagerly for her turn.

  • "This is going to take a very long, long, long time," Hailey said to herself as she watched Megan waiting anxiously for her turn, and she began biting her thumbnail. It would take a long time for her to be up, but at least she would go before Xavier. She sighed softly and put on her earbuds. She turned on her phone and scrolled through her song list. Lame, lame, more lame... she thought as her light gray-blue eyes ran through her songs continuously. I have no new songs, and almost all of them are so boring. Since she had no music playing, and her volume was on mute at the moment, every few minutes, the brownish-blond haired teen heard a single thin page flipping as her brother went through his book. She let a small groan escape from her throat; he was examining it like it was a nearly impossible math problem instead of a book. After a long while of a lot of debating, she finally picked a song, an old one she had for a long while, and raised the volume about a quarter up so she could enjoy her music as well as hear when she was being called, just in case. It never hurt to be prepared, especially when it was going to be a long wait. Out of the corner of her right eye, she saw Adam almost dancing to the beat of his song, his straight ginger hair looking as if it was bouncing along with it. Which song it was, she didn't know. But, even though she didn't want to know, she just let herself flow into the beat of her own song, leaning on Xavier's shoulder, still biting her thumbnail. Smoke wasn't kicking her back at all, so she guessed he had quieted down already. She looked up and saw her brother's brow furrowing, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly; it was what he normally did when there was an intense part in a book he liked. It was obviously very common for him to be this way since he was a reader, however, he still liked technology a little bit more, as Hailey could tell. "How's the book so far?" she asked him softly, tapping her foot lightly to the rhythm of her song. He couldn't have gotten very far, but she noticed that he was already of page 30, chapter four. He couldn't have possibly gotten that far, she thought to herself as she yawned a little bit, then covered her mouth.

Xavier read slowly through the first paragraph of page 31. He definitely couldn't imagine himself as an Abnegation member, helping others, not caring about himself. He couldn't do it. He would rather be part of Dauntless, training in combat, defending the city. He could almost imagine himself growing older as a soldier. Other than that, however, he was so consumed in the book that he didn't his sister asking him something until she repeated it, nudging his shoulder. "Hmm? Oh, um, it's good so far," Xavier muttered as his brown eyes read the last paragraph, and he put his bookmark in, shutting his book afterwards. He probably would read it after he got settled in his element dormitory, if he knew what it was going to be. This is, if he even got to the test. Nonetheless, he unzipped his bag and put the book in a small pocket in the front. He didn't even notice his scrunched up face until he realized his eyes were narrowed to chocolate slits. "Whoops... Sorry," he mumbled, his face getting hot, feeling slightly embarrassed. But, luckily, no one was watching his facial expression, so his tense form relaxed, and he let out a small sigh of relief. He saw Hailey's eyes closing, and she began humming to the tune. He smiled; this was one of the very few moments when she looked so peaceful and quiet that he didn't want to disturb her. Then, she opened her eyes and mumbled, "I've read the book before, and I think I would be either Erudite or Dauntless. Or Divergent." Xavier froze when his sister said Divergent. Then she would risk her life in order to survive inside a faction. But of course, none of this was exactly real; it was only a book. Elements were real, on the other hand. So he had nothing to worry about, other than trying not to die of boredom. This would definitely take many hours for every single student to be assigned their elements and get to their individual dormitories, which would crate a stampede of studies. He would definitely be worn to the bone by the time he would be called to test for his element, so he didn't think it was good to go one by one, because now they had to wait even more for every single student to be done, and that would be time consuming.

Adam, who was the first of the trio to finally notice the table when his eyes wandered around the area, walked up to the table of food and drinks and grabbed a coke, his fingers closing around the cold can. As he slowly strode back, he suddenly remembered he was keeping his eyes down, avoiding Damian. He knew the boy had smoked on the bus on his way here; he had heard about it, and Adam had never tried any harmful substances in his own life, so he guessed the teen wasn't exactly a very good influence. Even if he was just using it for his own comfort, it wasn't right. Smoking on a bus wasn't right–no, it was totally absurd. Seeing Hailey and Xavier talking again, he hurried back to hear what they were talking about. He tried to catch what they were saying, but only a little bit. "...has been chaotic. I can't deal with it," the hushed voice of Hailey whispered, and the 17-year-old tilted his head a bit, confused. When she paused, he took this opportunity and asked, "Um, what's been chaotic?" He waited patiently for her to say something, and for one moment, she started to, but was stopped when Xavier eyed him, his eyes narrowing in a glare, and said, "Today has been chaotic." He winced at the rough tone of his voice. Was he annoyed or upset? "Ok, gosh," Adam muttered harshly as he opened his soda. What the h**l was this dude's problem? Sure, he wanted to help his sister out, since that's what siblings do sometimes, but interrupting her? That made no sense. He took a sip of his coke, circling his thumb around the palm of his hand. He tapped his foot to the beat of his music, and noticed the slightest glimmer of hurt hiding deep in Hailey's eyes. It was the kind of hurt to make him almost drop his soda on the floor, not out of sympathy, but out of great annoyance; she looked almost like she was about to cry, and he hated it when people–especially girls–cried. Oh, god, no drama, please, he thought, stifling a groan. He didn't need drama in his life. He really didn't. He felt the large intention of putting a hand on her shoulder, at least to comfort her in some way. But he couldn't really find it in his heart to do so; he didn't feel like it. The last thing he really needed was to be taunted constantly for comforting a girl.

I smell the aroma of food and my stomach grilled. Well it can't hurt so I go over to the table and pick up a bag of Doritos and a can of coke. I slide my phone into my pocket and begin eating. I hope this line gets shorter or the whole dang table is gonna be empty. I feel my phone buzz, but ignore because more than likely it's Sunny.

  • megan swiped a coke can and popped the lid, gulping it down like she hadn't drank anything all day - which she hadn't. "ahh..." she sighed in satisfaction, crumpling the can and stuffing it in her pocket. her fingers went back to twitching. she grabbed her right hand in her left in an effort to stop them, but they carried on. megan cursed under her breath and wriggled her hands into her pockets as she waited for the teacher sat there to call out her name.

  • I followed the large group of students to the large double doors, I looked up, mentally measuring them. Lief played with my shoe laces, biting them with his small canines. I leant down and picked the white puppy up, I held him in my right arm and tucked some loose strands of hair behind my ear. I huffed and looked around at the other kids, where's the other bus? It should be here already! I cursed under my breath and rolled my eyes out of pure impatience. I glanced at the table of food, to no surprise most of the boys were stuffing their pockets and the girls were looking at the food and boys in disgust. I decided that I was kinda hungry and decided to walk over there, I lined up in the line behind a brown haired boy. Maybe I should try to make some friends?
"Hey." I said shyly, I stuck my hand out and looked into his blue eyes. "Asha."

  • ooc: if you mean mitch, his form hasn't been accepted yet. xDD
but otherwise, don't mind me ^^

megan tapped her foot against the path impatiently. she reached over into her backpack and pulled out a hardback sketchbook. opening the thing, the 16-year-old skimmed through pages upon pages of cat, human, weapon and nature drawings. she eventually found one that she hadn't coloured just quite yet. it was of a boy about 14 years old. he was clutching a sword and dark fire glittered in his hand, like he was ready to fight. megan smiled at the picture, remembering when she had drawn that. it had been when she was obsessed with the 'percy jackson' and 'heroes of olympus' books. well, actually, she still was addicted to them, but this had been when nico was her favourite character. she fumbled around a bit more for her pack of colours. selecting a brown from the packet, megan started with his jacket.

  • [color=mediumaquamarine][font=georgia]Radley spotted the table of snacks and made an indirect beeline for it. Once he got to the head of the line, he grabbed a bag of Funyuns and a root beer. In addition he grabbed a pack of jerky, sticking it in his jacket pocket for later before heading back to the crowd.

  • ooc: i'm just waiting for one of the teachers to let megan know what she has to do for her element to be determined. xDD

megan switched out her brown for a dark blue, then for a black. soon she had coloured most of the boy's figure. with the black, she smudged barely noticeable dark circles around his eyes to bring out his pale skin, which she finished off with a light, slightly sickly shade of pink. finally she blew the remnants of her pencil nibs off the page and examined her quick work. "not bad..." she murmured to herself, double-checking that she had included each and every detail on the boy's jacket, jeans, sword and face. thank god she had. quickly, megan scrawled under the portrait in her usual slightly messy hand-writing. she pulled her pencil away and read the name of the character out loud to make sure she'd actually spelled it right. "nico. you finish off the last of my humans!" she exclaimed brightly yet quietly.

  • ooc: the students are still waiting in line for a teacher to answer. other than that, nothing much has happened. c:

megan flicked through the rest of her book. on each of the remaining pages, she could see what were clearly scenes and characters from both the 'percy jackson' and 'heroes of olympus book series''. there was leo valdez on his bronze dragon, festus. then there was piper mclean standing with her friends annabeth and hazel. frank with the blessing of mars as he fought his way through oncoming hordes of enemies. percy jackson himself, sitting with jason grace for game night, and a few rough sketches of the stoll brothers and clarisse la rue. megan smiled to herself as she looked through them, not caring if someone noticed her book and began to tease her about her choice of art muses. she eventually reached the final page in the notebook. all her favourite characters alive as of 'the blood of olympus' were clustered together in one picture, pulling faces and striking poses as though they were taking a massive whole-camp selfie. she almost laughed out loud. actually, she made a noise somewhere between a grunt and a high-pitched pig-like squeal. her face went red and she quickly buried her nose in the sketch, going over a few faded out details in dark pencil to bring them out a big more.

  • OOC ~ To rephrase, all the students are at the school (that I know of), and are waiting to test for their element.

Xavier looked down at the ground as he felt Adam's multi-colored eyes glaring deep into his soul. He felt the warmth leave his shoulder as Hailey lifted her right temple off of his shoulder, which was small but bony. Numbness filled his body as the sudden coldness surged through his chest like ice. He instantly knew that Hailey was ignoring him now, judging by the way she had her back turned to him as she talked to Adam, her high, soft wind-like voice ringing and vibrating in his ears. Her eyes were darting around the area, passing right over him, and back to Adam as she continued talking to the boy, her hands gesturing, though her voice was on mute in his head. She's ignoring me, now, I know she is. Why did I do that, why, why... he thought as he inhaled sharply. He bit the inside of his cheek hard, pondering this thought. He shoved his hand carelessly in his left pocket, and he soon felt something sharp pricking his finger; it was a knife that he had put in his pocket earlier. He bit his lower lip so hard that he could taste blood, suppressing a cry of pain as the thorn-like point sunk deeply into the skin, the blood seeping out inch by inch. He yanked his finger out, the feeling of the knife point still there, looking at it as the bright red blood was still pooling out, then pressing his thumb on his finger, trying his best to stop the bleeding. He had absolutely no clue that he had put a knife in his pocket, oblivious to it as it had been digging in his skin when he was sitting on the bus. He abruptly ran his right hand down his thigh, his hand soon trembling. Of course, there was no blood, but he felt a small bump where he had been pricked. "Idiot," he mumbled to himself. "Why did I do that?" At that moment, out of the corner of his eye, he saw Hailey whip around, her stormy ocean-colored eyes soft and wide. She looked so forgiving and innocent that he could just simply forget what he had done to her earlier. Nevertheless, it was still there; the sudden hollow feeling in his chest sent an agonizing pain rippling through his entire body. There had been times where he had done worse, too.

"X-Xavier," Hailey stammered, raising an eyebrow up at her brother as she began inching her trembling hand to hopefully touch his shoulder, "a-are you o-ok?" She felt a pang of worry in her chest, and she watched as he inhaled a second time, a little bit too sharply this time in her opinion, and narrowed her eyes suspiciously as he placed something smooth and thin in her shaking, outstretched hand. She lowered her hand and looked down at the object, running her thumb across the smooth silver handle. As soon as she realized what it was, which took her a while to do so, her entire body stiffened, her thin fingers locking around the handle. It wasn't easy to look up at him now. "Why would you–" She started, but Xavier shushed her, pressing his right index finger to his lips. "I don't want either of us getting in trouble," he whispered, eyeing her carefully. "Ok," she mumbled, nodding a little bit. She put it in her pocket, point down. She would need it later, she guessed. But she wondered what she would possibly need a knife for, or why Xavier had put it in his pocket before they had came to Alcatraz. However, she still didn't approve of the knife; once again, why would he need it? Maybe for combat, possibly? No, that couldn't be it. Certain elements didn't train with that type of combat, she assumed. While she was considering this, Hailey then saw him pressing his thumb to his index finger, and when she saw the blood dripping down his finger, her eyes narrowed to gray-blue slits. A vicious voice in her head said, He deserved it, which wasn't true. He didn't know, don't blame him, another voice murmured. She was so close to screaming out loud when Xavier's hands dropped to his side, his posture firm but relaxed in a way. All thoughts forgotten, hoping to change the subject, she muttered softly, "This wait is so... absurd. I just want this to be over quickly so this day can continue on normally." She wanted it to be normal, but she knew it wasn't. She and every other student there was abnormal–each with their own elements to worry about. All of this wasn't exactly normal, and she definitely knew had no control over it. But she only just wanted the day to end soon, since for one, she had no clue what time it was, and two, the wait was already getting too long for her.

OOC ~ We'll have to wait a little bit more for one of them to reply...
