  • {She shall be part of that group :D}

    Alisha leaned on a tree watching. Her icy gaze is piercing. She had her blonde hair was pulled back and her bands were in her face.

  • Rebecca cleared her throat to quiet the murmurs around her then she let her gaze travel around them. "As most of you know. Today marks the half way point of the year, and for most of you, this means harvest duty."

    Justin groans with the rest of them on harvest duty. It was the lesser of the chores they shared with each other.

  • "But the jobs have been switched." She says, ignoring the outcries of shock and anger. "Today The harvesters will hunt and the hunters will harvest."

  • Rebecca gave no other explanation, she simply turned and walked back into her little cottage. They all had small houses built from the resources around them.

  • Wick nodded to himself and turned to walk beside Justin "if you want I could find the nests and you people could do the killing" he said to the hunters but somehow put an inflection on his voice and targeted it at Justin. After most of the group had agreed and the rest had just not talked Wick turned and walked swiftly into the forest before grasping a tree trunk and vaulting into the trees, traveling much faster along the tree-line than on the ground

  • Justin watched him a moment and snorted. "These people......I swear it's like some of them don't even want to keep their humanity." He turns slightly to the side to look at the harvesters. "Oh Crap, I forgot to tell them to steer clear of field eight." He muttered to himself and changed direction, heading back to the group as the rest of his group disappeared into the forest after Wick. "Hey!" He shouts, trying to get there attention from a couple yards away.

  • Alisha silently followed the group but turned at Justin's yelled. "What." She sounded slightly harsh. "What is it?"

  • Wick ran through the dense canopy far ahead of the others and stopped briefly to smell the air, picking a piece of bark off the side of a tree and chewing it thoughtfully "hmm" he muttered to himself and scanned the forest floor before spotting a hole in the ground barely covered by a trapdoor of leaves and branches "stop!" He whispered urgently to the hunting party that was just coming around and pointed down before taking a twig and hurling onto the trapdoor. The effect was amazing, the trapdoor swung open and a mass of spidery legs flailed at the opening trying to catch whatever had sprung the trapdoor

  • He snorted and trotted to catch up with his group.

    Field eight has plump healthy looking pumpkins in it. Where they'd found pumpkins is Rebecca's secret.

  • By the time the other person had finally caught up Wick had fashioned a make-shift spear out of a branch and had found something else to throw on the trapdoor, which he did. When the massive arms opened the trapdoor Wick dropped from the trees heavily onto the creature, stabbing the spear into one of the Spider-like creature's eyes which made it screech and leap out of the hole, wrestling with Wick, both of them making animal sounds and snapping at each other "kill it!" He roared at the latecomer and threw him the spear that was now covered in eye goop "stab the back!"

  • Justin, startled, quickly grabbed the spear and flicked it around, driving it through the creature's body. It squirmed and wriggled a second before laying still. He raises his gaze and nods to Wick before looking at the others. "Well come on then."

  • Wick nodded at Justin and got up as the creature was dragged off of him "thank you, you probably saved my life and dealt the killing blow what we shall eat, it's big enough for everyone and we can't exactly be picky "he explained as he picked up a small necklace made of bone that he hung around his neck
