Jake couldn't help but smirk as he caught the sweeping gaze, suppressing a chuckle. "Try and sleep. It'll help. " He nodded once, his thumb brushing lightly over her cheek before he pulled away and stood. He pulled the blankets over her gently, muscles rippling just from the simple movement.

Stormy
I nodded and laid down, letting out a soft breath. I close my eyes and soon find myself asleep. I bury my face in a pillow, blocking out any noise or light that would try to wake me up. I was sleeping so peacefully, I never wanted to wake up. I remember him smirking...and I couldn't help but wonder if he caught my sweeping gaze...if he did that would be utterly embarrassing.
-
"Beautiful... " Jake murmured quietly as she slept, his broad shoulders relaxing slightly. He was starving and his inner wolf was howling for fresh meat, but he didn't want to leave Stormy all alone. He grabbed a glass of water and set it beside the bed, frowning as he struggled to make a decision. Hunger finally won, so he left a note just in case she woke when he was gone. It said he was out grocery shopping, and by the time he was out the door, he was in Wolf form and racing after a buck.
-
i continued to sleep. I didn't wake up. I shifted in my sleep, causing pain to shoot up my body. My face turned into that of pain whole I slept, yet I still didn't wake. I was in too deep. I didn't move, and I was the perfect sleeping figure. I was facing the ceiling, my hair sprawled around the pillow, my knees bent slightly and my hands both up by my face. A spitting image of perfection. Of course I wasnt cocky but still.
-
By the time Jake returned, he smelled of the pine and musk, a wonderful scent. He crumpled the note and threw it away, seeing her perfect sleeping form with a smile. He wished he could help with healing but he was only a Werewolf and that was painful enough and tiring to even shift three times a day. He rested his his back on the bed and promptly fell asleep.
-
i woke up with a start, bolting upright. For a second I forgot where I was, before recalling I was at jakes house. I let up a small breath of relief. I felt much better, still sore though. I look around and spot Jake leaning against the bed asleep. I felt so bad, I basically kicked him off of his own bed. Suddenly my favorite smell filled my nose. Pine. I looked down to see it was him. D.mn. I lean back, trying trot to wake him, but much to my dismay, the bed creaked.
-
Even before the bed creaked, Jake had awoken at her movement. "How are you feeling? " He asked quietly as he opened his weary eyes, blinking rapidly before turning slightly to gaze up at Stormy with a frown on his strong lips.
-
"Better, thanks ." I smile gratefully before frowning myself. "Sorry if I woke you." I apologize sheepishly, biting my lip and looking at my lap. I felt bad, because I'm 99.9% sure I woke him. And after all he did for me too, I'm sleeping on his bed. I bite my lip harder, averting gaze.
-
"Hey. Don't frown, it's okay. I don't really sleep anyways. More of a light doze. " Jake said, getting up and cupping her chin, tilting her head so she would look at him. He smiled, a crooked, yet calm smile as he met her gaze.
-
I smiled slightly too, reassured by his words. I nod slightly and let out a small sigh, letting my head rest on the cheek that was cupping my face. I may have only just met him, but I liked him. A lot.
-
"Feel up to eating? " Jake asked as he watched her, before pulling his hand away and standing to stretch and sigh. He was full from his own meal, so he would not be eating with her.
-
I nodded a little. "Yeah, but I shouldn't be taking your food...Besides, I should be going home." I say, reluctantly. I kinda didn't want to leave, but I wasn't going to take anymore from Jake, he was nice enough as it is.
-
Jake shook his head and stretched his arms above his head, a thin line of his stomach showing as he did so. "At least eat for energy. Then you can go home. I'll be going with you this time. " He rumbled smoothly, gazing at her calmly.
-
"Okay." I say, not in the mood for arguing. I run a hand through my hair, trying to tame it. I probably looked like a train wreck and my arms were bruised in certain places slightly. I stand up and wince, leaning against the wall for balance. I was a little woozy, and dizzy. It was like the world was spinning. I groan and close my eyes, holding my head with one hand and leaning against the wall with the other.
-
Jake held her arm to steady her, his calloused hand rough but gentle. "I don't think you should go back if it's this bad. " He rumbled, wrapping an arm around her waist to help her walk slightly.
-
I let out a shaky breath and opened my eyes, leaning on him slightly. I remove my hand from the wall and walk, still a little wobbly. It helped to have him help me, though. It felt as if my head was pounding but I didn't say anything about it.
-
"Come on. Drink and eat before you go at least. Your face is pale. " Jake said as he gazed at her worriedly, keeping a tight but gentle grip on her as he walked her to a table. Once getting her in a chair, he grabbed a glass of cool water and a sandwich.
-
I nodded once, and that made it worse. I took the water gratefully, and drank some. Then I took a bite of the sandwich. "Thanks, really." I say sincerely. I finish up the sandwich, and feel a little better. I stand up, feeling like I could walk, when it happened. My vision went black and I felt myself falling. I managed one word before I feel. "Jake!"
-
"I got you, don't worry. I'm here. " Jake had moved faster than humanly possible, although he had known she would fall. He caught her easily, his strong arms wrapping around her and scooping her up in his arms. "You aren't going anywhere. You must've hit your head pretty well and I missed it. " He grumbled softly as he carried Stormy back to hisbed, setting her down gently.
-
His words soothed me, and i let my eyes close, and just clamed down a minute or two before opening them. Like he said, I wasn't going anywhere. I probably have a minor concussion. "Well, I didn't hit my head hard when I fell, the guy knocked me out with a crowbar." I tell him, as the visions flooded back to me, making my head pound. I stopped thinking and laid down, opening my eyes to look at Jake.
