  • "Yes, it is quite horrible. So we're going to seperate them at birth. She won't like it very much but it's for the best." Mo says softly and smiles as she hugs the mares neck lightly and then all of a sudde" gets a bit smile on her face. "Would you like to try riding one of them? You can sit behind me bareback on Bud if you'd like." She suggests hopefully, her eyes lit up all of a sudden.

  • "That..." Kade trailed off, looking over at her and seeing her large smile. He was already a sucker for it, and her eyes, and felt his disapproval melting rapidly. "Um, okay. Sure." He said, nodding his head like it was no big deal. He was actually extremely nervous, and would much rather just watch her ride.

  • "Okay! Lets go!" She says excitedly, grabbing a pair of clip on reigns from Bud's stall doown along with his halter before hurrying outside with Kade in tow. She throws on the tack before bringing Bud over to a fence and clambering up onto his wide back. "Come on!" She says as she wiggles around slightly. Bud just looks thoroughly bored with the situation as he leans down and begins nibbling happily at the grass.

  • "I don't know how to..." Kade motioned helplessly towards Bud, he hang really paid attention to her getting up and was more focused on building up his confidence in actually riding the 1,200 pound animal that could rightfully kill him at any moment. "How'd you get up?" He asked.

  • "Just climb up to the top plank of the fence and swing your leg over." She says encouragingly, smiling warmly down at him as she takes up the reigns into her hands amd waits patiently for him to join her aside the gentle giant that is Bud. He can't move fast anyways, and he's wide enough to simply sit on and be comfortable, not having to cling for dear life, so she figures this is will be a good first ride for him.

  • Kade looked at her grabbing the reins for a moment before he did as she said, finally sitting on Bud. He instantly wrapped his arms around Mo and held onto her, his breaths coming out in short little breaths, making it clear that he was nervous on the subject of actually riding. "How do you make this so easy."

  • "Because it is easy." She says with a sweet little giggle. "You just have to relax and let yourself move with the horse, don't fght the natural way your body moves, just let it hapen and you'll be fine." She days softly as she nudges the gentle gelding ib a leisurely lumbering walk. It feels a bit odd being ontop of him with his awkward gate due to his past injuries.

  • Kade took her word for it and slowly, but surely, relaxed until he was moving almost naturally with Bud. "Is he always going to be hurt?" He asked softly, almost afraid of talking too loud, because that would just be terrifying to him. "It's like the ground's shaking with every step he takes." He murmured under his breath, unable to help himself.

  • "Well he doesn't actually feel any pain anymore, his muscles are b just severely tight so when he tries to stretch them out they shudder, which is why you feel the shaking. It's like muscle spasms." She explains softly as she relaxes slightly against him. "But he will be like this for the rest of his life." She adds quietly as she turns her head to look back at him.

  • "He doesn't feel any pain though?" Kade questioned softly, just to make sure. He looked down at her quietly and then looked up, his dark eyes searching around the area quietly with a curious expression on his face. That's the cold wind slashed him in his face and at any bare skin, and suddenly he was practically a shivering mess.

  • Mo smiles warmly and nods, "Not unless we were making him do something to flare it up, but just carrying the two of us won't hurt a one ton animal." She says with a little shrug. The one that causes him to break down shivering does the dame to her, but worse, "O-Okay, I think that's our c-cue to go inside." She says and then slidesoff of Buds back and lands lightly on her feet.

  • Kade followed after her quickly, waiting for her to take off the clip on reigns before he quietly walked into the barn, his face red as shivers still came from him. It was obvious he was freezing, in only his small sweatshirt and long sleeved shirt. Suddenly he understood why people were warning them to bring all their warm clothes from Boise.

  • Mo shuts the door behind them in the heated barn and she cobtibues shivering as she hurries up into the loft, "Come on Kade, it's nicer up here." She calls down as she settles into the hay stacks, grabbing a few woolen blankets she keeps stored up here for days like these"

  • Kade paused for a moment, looking at the loft closely, his fear of heights getting to him slightly. "I don't think I can." He called up to her, his throat tightening slightly in fear and he wasn't even planning on heading up the ladder. "I think I'm just gonna go to the car and grab another jacket." He said.

  • Mo peeks her head down and pouts slightly. "What if I help you up? I swear it doesn't seem high once you're up the ladder..." she reassures softly, tipping her head to one side and watching him with a small frown.

  • Kade looked at her for a moment before his gaze fell to the ladder again, and he was defiantly shaking his head. "No." He murmured softly, biting his lip hard, to the point of where it was bleeding slightly. "I'm not going up there." He sucked in a breath then looked at the ground, cursing himself silently at the fact he couldn't get over some stupid fear.

  • "Okay... I'll bring blankets down there then." She says gently and gathers all of the blankets before climbing down to join him. She opens up one of the empty stalls and spreads one blanket out on the clean shavings before flopping down and snuggling beneath the rest, motioning for him to join her.

  • Kade looked at her for a moment before he slowly walked over to her, somewhat awkwardly sitting beside her on the blanket with the rest covering his lap. "What's your favorite spot on the whole land?" He asked randomly, wishing to distract himself from how close he was to her.

  • "I'm not really sure... I love my homeland though, it's rather beautiful there; especially in the county I'm from, it's all country and farmland as far as the eye can see." she says wistfully, smiling at the thought and relaxing back against the stall wall. "Tell me more about your sister? What's she like?" she asks softly.

  • "Well that depends." Kade admitted with a small laugh, relaxing as he thought about his brat of a sister. "She can be really cute and charming, like me, when she wants to be." He said while shrugging slightly, running a hand through his dark brown hair. "But then at other times she can be horrible and make you want to give her away."
