  • Mo's eyes widen slightly and she draws her hands back, "Sorry... I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." She murmurs, feeling him begin to warm up a bit and seeing that the color is coming back to his face she moves from his lap, curling up in her own seat and looking quietly out the window, thoroughly mortified.

  • Kade took a little more time to calm himself down, a small sigh coming out of him once doing so. "I'm sorry." He murmured softly, looking straight ahead of him silently. "It's a long story and I'm positive you don't want to talk to me now, so..." He shrugged then tapped his fingers on his steering wheel for a moment, not sure if he was supposed to take her home or not.

  • "No... Tell me this story."she says in a soft voice and shifts around so she's facing him, a deep frown etched into her features. "If we're going to be spending time together I need to get to know your problems and quirks and you mine.

  • "Okay." Kade said while looking down at his lap, nodding his head quietly. "So back in Boise I had a girlfriend, her name was Sofia, she was probably the best thing that ever happened to me. So, one night we were coming back from a small party, I didn't have anything to drink but it was foggy, and I could barely see in front of the headlights. She started talking gibberish, about how horrible of a person she is and that I didn't deserve her. So I'm driving, and trying to calm her down, and we get hit by a drunk driver. Eventually when the paramedics arrived there, t-they somehow figured out that we were both alive an quickly took us back to the hospital. I turned out to be fine, but Sofia... She slipped into a coma, then the doctors then proceeded to tell me that she was pregnant. I didn't go to school for three months, staying by her bedside everyday to see her wake up. She never did."

  • Mo watches him quietly as he tells the obviously painful story and she resists the urge to reach over and touch him as she examines his broken hearted expression. "I'm so sorry Kade... That's horrible..." is all she manages to get out as she gazes at him sadly. Then she swallowsbhard and looks down, frowning and nodding thoughtfully to herself. "So I guess you still love her, huh?" She says in a gentle voice, honestly a little curious of what his answer would be.

  • "I'm always going to love her," Kade said quietly, his bottom lip quivering some. "But it's not the heart beating fast think about them all the time love." He looked out the window the whole time, not wanting to cry or anything, but it was clearly still hard for Kade to talk about his lost love.

  • Mo nods quietly and murmurs, "I'm so sorry Kade... I didn't know..." and then she looks downat her hands as they restin her lap, "I can't even begin to imagine how hard that must've been for you... I've never really lost anybody, not like that at least." she murmurs and once v again resist the urge to just lean over and hug him.

  • "The man didn't even care that he killed her. He was just sorry that he got his ass caught for being drunk while driving. Couldn't even look at me when he was in the court room," Kade bit his lip and shook his head angrily. "I wanted to stay in Boise, before I got accused of killing her and ruining her life by her family."

  • "If he couldn't even look at you I would assume he felt some sort of remorse, he just didn't want it to show." She comments softly and then swallows hard and murmurs, "If there's anything you need, I'm here for you, you know... If you ever need to talk or anything."

  • Kade sighed and nodded his head slowly, looking over at her a few moments later. "Thank you." He finally said quietly. "I figured you would just be weirded out by me and leave after I freaked out on you." He hadn't technically freaked out on her, but the way he thought about it he had. He didn't want to be mean to his only friend, so far.

  • "Now what kind of friend would I be if I did that?" She whispers and smiles warmly over at him. "Now. We shuld go do something... What do you suggest we do?" She asks as she shifts to face him completely, her eyes as bright as her smile as she watches him expectantly.

  • "I don't know anything around here." Kade stated while tapping his fingers on the tops of his thighs silently, a habit he had always had. When his mom was pregnant she never let Kade touch her stomach unless the baby, Maya, was doing something, because he was always start tapping on her swollen stomach and piss off Maya. "What do you want to do? Consider me your driver."

  • "We could go to the mall... Or the arcade... Or my house, I could introduce you to the horses snce both my Mum and Da are at work." She suggests and looks at him for confirmation on one of her ideas, hoping that something would strike his fancy.

  • "Horses sound good." Kade said with a small smile, first one yet, then drove the car forward once it was out of park and into drive. He leaned back against his seat and sighed gently, thinking about her horses. He wasn't familiar with horses but thought they were beautiful creatures, and very majestic.

  • Mo nods happily and smiles at him, "I love showing off my babies to people." She says excitedly and buckles up her seatbelt as he drives her home. When thearrive she hops out and leads him back behind the home to the stables, inmedietly greeted by a chorus of nickers. "Well! there are all thr boys and girls... This is Bud, Anna, Harry, River and Blue. Bud is a retired old workhorse that my mum had a soft spot for, Anna, Harry and River are my competition horses and Blue was my pony, now that I've outgrown her my brothers are using her.." she says and looks over them with her hands clasped together.

  • Kade looked over all the horses, a smile growing onto his face. "They're all gorgeous." He said quietly while looking back at her, a faintest hint of a dimple on his cheek appearing for a moment before it vanished again. "What do you compete in?" He asked curiously, looking back at Anna, Harry, and River.

  • "Well with Harry I do the hunter circuit, so going through a course of jumps and making it look pretty. With River I do the jumper circuit, so a timed jumping course, and with Anna I do nothing in particular yet because she's still young, but have shown her in a few baby's hunter classes and she's done well so I think we may end up doing that with her." Mo says with a bright smile, rubbing Rivers head a he sticks it curiously from his stall, his big ears pricked forward. Attentively.

  • Kade slowly walked forward and followed after Mo, letting River sniff him before he cautiously placed a hand on his large cheek, petting the smooth fur. "How long have you had them all?" He questioned curiously, his head tilting to the side slightly as he looked at Mo, then back at River. He had never really been so close to a horse.

  • "We've had Blue for about ten years, Harry for five, River and Anna for two and Bud for only a few months." She says withva warm smile, watching fondly as River nudges his soft nose curiously against Kade's chest and nibbles lightly on the loose fabric of his baggy old sweatshirt. "River likes to test if he can consume things or not." She murmurs with a softly laugh.

  • Kade chuckled quietly and allowed River to try to eat his sweatshirt, seeing no harm in it. He continued petting River, a small smile on his face. "We can't have any oets, Maya's really allergic." He said while tilting his head to the side slightly. He smiled then looked back over at Mo, his pearly whites showing.
