Peacefulkit lay on his stomach inside the camp, his chin resting in between his paws as the rest of his body curled up, his eyes closed gently and his back rising and falling slowly, indicating that the child was sleeping. Although everything looked fine on the outside, he looked quite peaceful, actually, inside his mind bad thoughts would soon be stirring.
Dale stand in a clearing of the forest, an open grin on his muzzle as he spun around in a circle, his gaze following a butterfly as the bright sun would shine down below on the unusually happy kitten. The insect soon flew up high in the sky, out of sight of the brown tom. Chuckling, he would take a seat, yet something out of the corner of his eye still stirred. Turning his head, he would see a long and glorious tail that was connected to his rear end. He had had a short stump for so long that it almost looked weird for him to be seen with one, but joy soon refilled that emotion. But as he was rejoicing with his pride, a black and white feline approached slowly from the trees, claws unsheathed as it made its way towards the child. Without warning, Peacefulkit was flung across the clearing by the cat, landing roughly on his side. Coughing, he would look up to see his father, coldly staring him down with his teeth bared, chin raised. The brown tom would quickly get to his paws, a horrified look on his face as he tried to back up, but somehow, a boulder had formed right behind him, preventing him to escape the clutches of the adult male before him. "The Red Meadow is an idiotic religion. A religion that was made up, actually." His Father would growl, his nostrils flaring. "No, you're wrong! I've seen it! It's real!" Peacefulkit would protest, pushing out his chest, trying to look brave, but on the inside he could feel his heart plummet down to his feet. "By Daemon's, you've been corrupted," The larger feline would mutter under his breath before bellowing, "Our religion is law, not some stupid dream!" And with that, his Father would leap forward, paws outstretched, as his child crouched down in pure terror, his ears pulling back against his head and his jaws opening as he watched him jump at him with fear flashing harshly off of his blue eyes. The two would tumble roughly from the impact, but soon the black and white feline had been able to get on top of the kit. Turning himself, the larger cat would dig his jaws deeply and hardly into Peacefulkit's tail, blood pouring from where his father's teeth had sunk his teeth into it. He would feel extreme pain shooting up and down his body, flesh being torn as he continued. The child would scream intensely, sobbing, as he could do nothing to rid himself of this horrible sensation.
Then everything went black.
Peacefulkit opened his eyes, but he was still imprisoned in his endless dream. His vision was blurry, a multiple images started to flash in front of him. The first glimpse he was given was of two cats, one a lighter brown and very tall. The other was short, and had darker fur. He pulled his brows together in confusion, for he could not see their faces, though he was almost positive that the larger feline was his mother, for her pelt type matched well. The second was less smudged, allowing him to see various faces that he recognized from his old him. And they all had smug looks on their face, cruel laughter echoing in his mind. The child closed his eyes tightly as the cackling continued. Only when it stopped did he open his eyes slowly, though he immediately regretted doing so, for he saw the sight of his father bring his talons down across his mother's throat. The child shrieked at the sight, sending him into reality.
Peacefulkit awoke screaming, his whole body jolting as he dipped out of the nightmare. His breathing was loud and heavy, his eyes looking around as he tried to figure out what was going on and where he was. looking behind him, he would see his poor excuse of a tail as a stub once more, his long one, his pride, having vanished. Tears rimmed his lower eyelids before he started choking on the bile rising in his throat. He buried his face into his front paws, his paws clenching up as he heavily sobbed, shutters running down his spine.
