• "What?! Where are you going?" She asked worriedly. Her mother was now tugging her, trying to get Elizabeth to back up from Dallas. "Don't leave, I just got you back!" She yelled pulling against the tugging and grasping Dally's hand.

  •
Dallas shied away from Elizabeth. Before her mother pulled a final time he held her face in his large hands. "I'll be back- please, don't make a large scene. I love you." he faded away, like ghost supposedly can do. Where he ended up was back at his own home. Vacant. Holding back tears, Dallas sat on the steps to his previous owned home. Leaning back, Dal looked at the sky.

  • She gasped when he faded away, turning into nothing. She reached out and touched him when he went, smoke going through her fingers. Falling to her knees, she put her pushed her hands into her eyeballs. Was that a vision, a dream? She asked, frozen. She could feel her mom pull her up and into the house to her bedroom, everything went by so fast and bleary and she didn't feel anything anymore. She quickly fell asleep with tears on her face,

Dallas watched the stars for another good hour, thinking about what had happened in the previous day. Through the rest of the night, he walked through the dead town, admiring how things seemed slightly different. It was weird, yet amazing how things could look so different when you're dead.

    -small time skip-

After the lonely night, he walked to Elizabeths house. He stood across the street, against the light pole, waiting.

  • Waking up after the stressful night and the horrible yet wonderful dream, she put on her boxer shorts and a sweatshirt and went outside to grab the mail from yesterday. Knowing her mom she probably forgot all about it. Coming to the mailbox, she remembered that she didn't have her glasses on. making an ugg noise, she grabbed the mail, slammed the flap shut and started going back up the steps.

  •
Dallas watched her for a second without moving. His mind reeled clips of the previous night. "Elizabeth!" He yelled quiet enough to not wake anyone, but loud enough for her to hear. He stepped off into the street, disregarding the oncoming traffic. He noticed that she didn't have her glasses on and ran to her. "It's me. I'm here."

  • Elizabeth turned and squinted at the upcoming figure. Upon hearing his voice she froze. I must still be in the dream. She knew that voice from anywhere.

  •
Dallas got into viewing distance from Elizabeth. "I told you I'd come back."

[come'on you can do better than this.]

  • She grinned at him, remembering what happened. Even if this is a dream can't hurt to be happy in it right? She closed the gap between him and grabbed his hand. "Come on its freezing out here." She said turning and walking back up the drive way, tugging Dally along.

  •
He took her hand graciously, but as soon as she tugged him along the edge of the driveway he let go. "Your mom." He said defiantly. "She might throw holy water at me or something. Dallas laughed but still held his ground. "-Plus, I don't want to get you into trouble."

  • She rolled her eyes. "Like you haven't been to my house. Come on, it'll be fine." She said tugging slightly. Then she stopped for a minute. "Can Holy water actually hurt you?"

  •
Dallas laughed. "Fine." As the two walked, he responded to her. "No, I'm not a demonic entity." He slimed and squeezed her hand.

  • "Good then we should have no problem." She said opening the door to her house. It wasn't large by any means but it was enough room for her. She let go of his hand and she headed off to the kitchen to have breakfast.

  •
Dallas glided behind her, not making any noises. As they entered the kitchen he smiled and sat down at the dinner table. "I missed you." He said, barely at a whisper.

  • She turned towards him as he whispered. Surprisingly she could hear him, almost as load as a yell. She walked towards him and leaned down to where he was on the chair and she kissed his temple. "I've missed you too." She said, running her hand through his hair, ruffling it up then going away to get a granola bar. She sat across from him with the granola bar.

  •
New warmth spread through his body as her lips touched his temple. "So- What have you been doing? -since I've been gone?" He set his elbows on the table and leaned forward.

  • "Well I graduated. I didn't go to the ceremony but I got the diploma in the mail." She said, sitting with crossed legs and looking down at the breakfast bar. Suddenly she wasn't that hungry. Setting it down she sighed." I have been kinda depressed with out. I barley went out of my room."

  •
Dallas nodded as he girlfriend spoke. "I'm sorry that night ever happened. -I really am." He stared down at his hands, feeling guilty, which was unusual for the delinquent. "This would never have started if it wasn't for me starting that dumb fight."

  • "Its my fault as well. I jumped on you and I am so sorry. You wouldn't be dead if I hadn't fought with you." She said putting her head on her and while she made swirl patterns on the granite.
