Halo slipped away unnoticed and bolted out of the forest and into the plain. She smiled to have the wind in her face again and careened heedlessly into the grass, unaware that Shaman was less than a whinny away.

Shaman stepped out of the trees and started to graze.
-
Shaman's random appearance startled Halo, causing her to jump and snort. "Oh....it's only you...wait, who are you?"
-
Shaman lifted his head, seeing the dun mare." Shaman."
-
"Oh, uh...hi. I'm Halo..so, are you from here?"
-
Shaman nodded.
-
"I guess I've been here for a while, but I wasn't raised here. I came from behind the mountain over there, because...things got hairy." She chose her words carefully.
-
Shaman nodded.
Montana sighed. -
"Sooooooo how've you been? Heard anything of interest lately?"
OOC: We need a crazy plot to jump-start this thing. -
Shaman shook his head.
OOC: Yeah... -
Suddenly Halo pricked her ears, brown eyes going wide in fear. "Did you hear that? Sounded like..." Suddenly a wolf lunged at her from behind, latching onto her neck and causing her to scream in fear.
-
Shaman launched himself at the wolf. He aimed to stomp it with his powerful front end.
-
The wolf snarled and leaped off, so that Shaman would tumble into Halo. The rest of the pack closed around, fifty starving, huge dogs willing to eat one of their own pack if one happened to stumble from a wound.
-
Shaman slid to a stop before he ran into Halo.
-
A grizzled old wolf stepped out from the circle, one eye clawed out by a sickening, pinkish scar. The wolves yipped in encouragement as he stepped out to fix Shaman with his unrelenting gaze.
-
Shaman charged at him.
-
Yellow eye dark with hunger and malice, the wolf sidestepped, aiming to rake his teeth down the stallion's side as he hurtled past.
-
Flame trotted around, lonely.
-
Noctis thundered down the hillside, savoring the wind through his brown-highlighted mane. His lustrous Andalusian coat flashed like obsidian as he gracefully ran.
-
Dark Flame gave a rear and gave a loud, throaty neigh to anyone near enough to hear her.
