Luna patted the dragon. She was obedient and many times didn't need strapped to the table. It was that time for Eclipse to know she wasn't a little dragon anymore and be more mature. Holding up her own she held it to her mouth.

[color=deepskyblue][font=impact]Stepping out of the stable, Catori blinked into the morning sunlight, catching a glimpse of two of the other students heading towards the obstacle course. Swinging up into the saddle, she settled herself, pulled on her black fingerless gloves she always wore when she rode and buckled the leg straps around her knees before grabbing the reins. "Alright, Chance. Let's do this." Catori murmured before clicking her tongue twice to signal him to take off.
"Let's do a once over around the school." Catori suggested, guiding Chance in a gentle upward arc. This was the feeling she lived for, being free and one with a creature of the sky. "Kee!" She called, signaling for Chase to make a hard left around the side of the main building. Around the perimeter they went until they reached the hatchery tower. Nudging Chase encouragingly, they spiraled their way around the tower before doing a barrel roll over the top spike and gliding down towards the science building. After undoing the restraints around her legs, Catori hopped off Chance and walked into the classroom, choosing a desk towards the middle of the room.

Quill replied to Jay, probably making a rude comment, as they hit the rocks. These huge boulders stuck up everywhere, and the challenge was to weave through them. Now, Flynn was glad he'd strapped down, because between Quill's sudden shifts and the blowing winds, he nearly went flying. The random, jutting rocks made the wind patterns bold and erratic, and one wrong move could send griffin and rider slamming into stone. Despite navigating these currents many times, Quill still had a rough time keeping control. "Come on, you got this!"

*Jay got to the rocks and Quill had already disappeared into the dangerous maze. Robin let Jay do his thing, weaving in and out. Robin started to get nervous as they got closer and closer to hitting the rocks, Jay wasnt turning tight enough. Robin lost his nerve and pulled on Jay's saddle so that they slowed down to get safer turns. Now they were falling behind as they reached the base of the huge fake mountain.

*Snow had woken up late and groaned. She sneezed once. Sick? That must've been why she overslept. She rushed to class, knowing the first one didnt require a griffin. She mentally apologized to Arctic and vowed to pick her up after class. She slid into her seat and took out her notes

Finally bursting out of the maze of rocks, Flynn realized they were closer to Robin and Jay than he thought. Hurriedly, the boy urged Quill faster, trying to find a good balance between speed and pacing. The huge fake mountain loomed ahead, and the rider decided to let Quill decide the best course. The wind patterns around the peak could be pretty erratic, but staying low made for a longer time. We got this! Come on, Quill. don't push yourself too far too soon! His silent urgings played around his head.

Luna heard the bell ring as students began to take their seats. But a few were still empty. Who is missing? she thought as she looked out the window. She didn't know very many of the students but hoped she would be able to meet them all at least once.

[color=deepskyblue][font=impact]OOC: People are basically coming to their first class, Griffin and Dragon Science. Robin and Jay are still out racing.

IC: Looking around her, Catori took out her things from her bag. Opening her notebook to the science section, she laid her pencil down and people watched for a little while.

Luna grew bored and started flipping the pages of a dragon book. She had yet to find out what kind of dragon Eclipse was. Every once in a while Eclipse would flip a page for her, but that was the only sign she was not asleep.

*Jay started to power up the side of the mountain. This was his strong point, they did this kind of thing everyday. Jay creed happily as they reached the peak, and looked around to see where Quill and Flynn were.

*Snow blushed and put her head down, everyone had their companions except for her because she was late... And the teacher wasnt even here yet! Poor Arctic, she was probably all alone in the stables, wondering where her rider was

Quill took a course halfway up the mountainside, rather than circling around the base or up over the top. She was still too inexperienced to handle the unpredictable currents up top, but the base was too big. Flynn watched Jay and Robin power up the slope from the corner of his eye. They had more experience, and the move would probably gain them some ground. "So close, Quill!"

*Jay easily snapped his wings open as they reached the peak and rode one of the currents which carried him away from the mountain and high over the water. He exited it and sped towards the water. Robin knew they needed all the speed they could get to make it to the post and back to the start without flapping. Jay unfurled his wings and they shot over the water, towards the finish.

*Snow got out her textbook, notebook, and a pencil and waited for the other to do so as well

[color=deepskyblue][font=impact]While rummaging around in her school bag for her science book, Catori wondered where Jynx had gotten to. The silly dragonet had probably fallen fast asleep in the bedding of Chase's stall. Again.
After finding her science book at last, Catori put it up on the desk and looked over at Chance, who was sitting serenely by her side, swishing his tail once in a while. Smiling at her companion, Catori opened her book to the appropriate chapter. Chance was not tethered to her desk, like some of the other griffin's were. She trusted him to behave, and she had no reason to secure him as a result.
