hi, so do have any examples of what you can do or shall we start from scratch? :)
-
I have none, because I know nothing. :p
Scratch would be great :) -
alright. :) so the definition in the easy iest words possible is really a fancy post. now we'll start really easy so you'll pick it up faster. :)
by the end of the lesson you'll be able to make a lot of things! have to go for tonight though so tomorrow afternoon we'll pick up.
-
Okay! And thank you soooo much, by the way!

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=1px; background: #171717; width:380px; text-align:center; border: #111111 2px solid; font-family:helvetica;][fancypost bgcolor=transparent borderwidth=0px; height: 150px; border-radius: 5px; border: 1px solid #efefef; width: 350px; background-image: url(http://www.rhinoafrica.com/blo…ads/2011/05/leropard2.jpg); background-position: center;][/fancypost]

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 1px solid #494949; background: #1f1f1f; padding:10px; font-size: 8pt; text-align:justify; color:#4c4c4c; width:250px; height: 239px; overflow:auto;]hi! so this is a fancypost example however not one of mine, the bgcolor stands for background color like the grey in the back of this example. the equal sign is an equal sign it basically means 'is' so for example bgcolor 'is' blue; that is a code but instead of 'is' you put the =. ; is like a period at the end of a sentence. so at the end of each code make sure to put a ;. good?

Good!

[*fancypost bgcolor= COLOR; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR;]
TEXT
[/fancypost*]now that is the basic fancypost, you will need to include this in any fancypost you want to make now if you don't want a border simply put zero where WIDTH is and transparent where TYPE COLOR is.
-
Okay, so something like these?
[fancypost bgcolor= red; border: 5px black;]
TEXT
[/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor= green; border: 0px tansparent;]
TEXT
[/fancypost] -
yup! and if you want the border thicker replace WIDTH with a number 3-7 are the prime numbers.
-
Okay, I tried, but it didn't seem to work. The second didn't have one, the first's code was this I think:
[*fancypost bgcolor= red; border: 5px black;]
TEXT
[/fancypost*]I may have accidently gotten rid of one of the semi-colons
-
[fancypost bgcolor= red; border: 5px dashed black;]
you didn't enter a TYPE that is why it didn't work:)
[/fancypost] -
Ohhhhhhhhh

Now I see, haha.
What types are there, exactly?
-
[fancypost bgcolor= red; border: 5px dashed black;]
DASHED
[/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor= red; border: 5px dotted black;]
DOTTED
[/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor= red; border: 5px solid black;]
SOLID
[/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor= red; border: 5px double black;]
DOUBLE
[/fancypost] -
oh, alright, thanks :)
-
yup! what shall we do next? ah! so size if you want you fancy to be a square take the basic code and add this after the semi colon on the end!
height: NUMBERpx; width: NUMBERpx;
height is how high it will be and width is how wide. replace NUMBER with a number 100 - 400 is preferred.
-
-
yes!

-
lol, okay nest we will do a picture background! so find a picture you would like to use. that is step one. step two. delete the color you have for bgcolor, then replace it with transparent. now you make the height and width larger. add this code to the end!
background:url(URL);
to add the picture take the link like this pic of clouds for example
http://media02.hongkiat.com/be…ouds/Heart-From-Cloud.jpgand replace URL with the link.
background:url(http://media02.hongkiat.com/be…ouds/Heart-From-Cloud.jpg);
