(Oh, and look at the OC box) Max shook his head. "I said I was gonna fix you up, didn't I? I wasn't lying." He looked around at the minimal supplies he had. First thing, find a way to clean the wounds. Not an option. Kai sighed as he realized he wasn't so prepared for this. I can bring a water bottle or something tomorrow. Oh, and hydrogen peroxide I guess... And a jacket for the poor kid. Max had many, many hoodies. He knew he could give just one away. Second, something to bind it. Huh... My shirt, his shirt. That's it. Not using the hoodie. He had a hoodie on right then, but again, this boy was a vampire. Max wasn't about to ruin a hoodie for him. Oh, I could probably get some dirt out with a shirt too. He took his hoodie and shirt off, then put the hoodie right back on again and zipped it all the way up. "And I don't think they'll be looking for you for about... Two days? Three? They've left vampires out before. Never newbies, but.." He trailed off as he got to work on ripping up his shirt and wrapping it around various cuts on Matt.

Matt stared up with frighttened eyes, pain glassing them over, "Thank you." He whispered, swallowing hard before crying out in pain as the male started to clean his wounds. Writhing faintly, the vampire cletched his fists, "They'll find me... I know they will... I wasn't purposed to be left alive."

Max sighed. "Hold still." He murmured, before listening to the rest of what he had to say. "Then I'll take you back with me. We have more pity than them, and I'm sure my pack will understand. For now, let's just play it safe, yes? Best to keep you here." He was really only half listening to Matt, and he knew it too. Max finally finished and sat back. He had also used a few sticks to make splints on any bones that he thought may be fractured or even broken. "..Done." He looked at Matt and asked, "Is there anything else? Thirsty? Or, whatever you guys feel I guess. I've heard new vampires get pretty hungry. Are you cold?" Honestly, Max was also half doing this because he was curious about vampires.

Matthew managed to hold still, whimpering softly until Max finished, "I... I'm thirsty, and I'm cold." He whispered, his mismatched eyes staring up at Max with worry, "Would they kill me if they didn't understand?" He whispered with a trembling voice, searching the werewolf's face before trying to sit up and gasping out in agony.

Max just swallowed hard and looked down. "They... They might. More likely they'd just send you away, in which case I might be able to sneak away and help you back to health. As for your thirst and temperature..." He glanced down. No. Not my hoodie. Can't give him my hoodie. So naturally, with his genius logic, Max took off his hoodie and held it out to Matthew. He had a high body temperature anyway, he was built for cold. Well, I can't go hunt for him. Not gonna do it. Again, naturally, he stood up to go hunt. "Don't make any sound, ok? I won't be gone long. Don't try to stand up." His words would've sounded cold, had they not been said in a gentle tone- One that nurses use when talking to patients, or parents to their kids.

Shivering as Max spoke, Matt nodded. Soon a hoodie was being held out for him and Matt carefully put it on. Breathing out as his temperature stopped dropping, he stared up at Max, "Alright." He mumbled, "I don't need much, I don't think." Mismatched eyes watched Max, trying to understand why the werewolf was helping him. What motive did he have... "Why are you helping me?" He finally asked, brows furrowed in confusion.

Max stood there for a second before slowly replying, "It's because you're new, and this is unfair. It's like killing off humans for no reason. Don't get my intentions wrong. It's... Justice, in some way." And with that, he left the cave to find some sort of animal for Matt. A deer would be hard to catch since he was fast but not as stealthy as a vampire, plus carrying it back would be hard. Eventually he just decided to catch what he could and bring it back.
