-Charrie: Dapplepaw [leaf] of ThunderClan- Old Forest- Old Clans
-Tom (or toms) needed: Warrior or Apprentice; Other clan or not

    ==

A small tortoiseshell drank in the night forest air and sighed deeply. The darkness was refreshing to her, causing a soft purr to ripple from her throat. She padded away from the bramble borders of camp, watching the stars up in Silverpelt with a curious golden gaze.

Dapplepaw was just an apprentice... she shouldn't be out but... Freedom! Yay! With an excited mrrw she darted into the undergrowth, pelt fluffed and paws barely touching the ground. She came to a skidding stop and rolled along the grass purring loudly, tail swaying from side to side.

  • Losteyes, a blue-gray warrior of ThunderClan, sat in some leaf brush, observing the stars with his one eye. He usually did this everyday. It was the only thing that really appealed to him. Everything else was just ordinary.

  • Dapplepaw continued at play, throwing leafs in the air chasing them as they flew in the breeze. She stopped stiff suddenly, her nose catching a cat's scent. The tortoiseshell rummaged in her brain what was that her mentor had taught her to do. It was suppose to come automatically but... Dapplepaw.

She opened her mouth to drink in the air. Then mentally clawed her ears at realizing that had been the first thing she had done when scrambling out of camp.

  • Losteyes pricked his ears when he heard the rustling leaves. His body shot to the direction of the sound. Slowly, he padded through the undergrowth to (attempt to) see what was there.

  • A large shadow loomed over the small apprentice and she stood stiff staring as it pushed over tree branches with his huge paws and kicked over bushes. It hadn't been a cat.

"BADGER!",she squeaked, her fur bristling and back arching trying to appear more intimidating. She hissed at the large creature, lashing her tail at it. The creature stopped and stared at the kitten, making odd huffing, croaking noises. If Dapplepaw had ever seen or heard a badger she would have known this was not one... also if she had ever stalked twolegs... she would have known it was laughing at her.

The twoleg was covered multiple dirty coats and smelling heavily of waste. It carried a bottle in a large "matted" paw which he waved in the air for footing. He crouched down towards the she-cat trying to pet it.

  • Hearing a young cat scream, Losteyes rushed to the sound. He skidded to a halt when he (thought he) saw a large, tall creature. That was not a badger. "Twoleg, run!" He screeched, attempting to get the younger cat away.

  • Dapplepaw turned to the call stupidly instead of running away. She shrieked as something grabbed hold of her scruff and carried her up in the air. The apprentice madly clawed at the twoleg's armor of coats but he only laughed and took her away to the river with him, trying to fit the fighting she-cat into his baggy pocket. He will make nice pet, the twoleg thought in his foggy mind.

  • Losteyes extended his claws and sprinted in the direction of the twoleg's scent. Nasty. He thought. It had seemed the twoleg had gone to the skies. It felt so far away.

  • The coated twoleg sat down heavily by the edge of the river, empty bottle forgotten some way behind. He tried to peel his furs off but being as far gone as he was he just flapped the sleeve of his coat for a moment before giving up and staring into the water.

Dapplepaw was not as happy as creature was. He had managed to trap her inside the pocket and zipper it shut. The scents around her where suffocating, oils, wastes and rotten meals they where... and something wiggled underpaw. The apprentice tried not to think what that had was and concentrated on yowling more loudly for help.

  • Ooc: Here comes Superman! He lost an eye though and he's a cat :D

Ic: Losteyes, panting, had finally come across the twoleg. Slowly, he padded around it, trying not to be seen. It's hard though when you can't see who's sees you, especially in the dark n

  • ooc: Dapplepaw- "My hero!!!" *dreamy eyes* *maggot hops off the top of her head*

ic: The twoleg snored falling asleep where he sat. He felt nothing and heard nothing, not even the madden yowls of the frightened cat in his pocket. He will be quite surprised when he wakes up down stream the next morning. [I don't feel like drowning him. )':]

Dapplepaw clawed and fought against the trapping thick coat. She stopped for a moment to take a breath... it was then that she noticed a small stream of moonlight coming from a tiny opening in the pocket. She stuck her paw in, then her nose. "Help!!",she yowled through it. "Anyone!".

  • Losteyes peicked his ears and followed the sound. As it got louder, he fished for where the other cat was. Reaching out into the darkness, his claws latched onto the twoleg coat.

  • Dapplepaw's stuck her arm through the opening, pawing about frantically till she touched something soft... or softer than the rough clothed pocket she was in. It was a cat's paw!... She hope it was a cats paw. The tortoiseshell began to fear the worse out of her sudden relief. What if it's a fox?!, she thought fearfully, retreating back inside the filthy hobo pocket. The maggots hurrayed her return. It was cold in there much to their distaste.

  • Losteyes flinched as a cat touched his paw and pulled back. He attempted to undo the button on whatever this other cat was stuck in. Clawing at it barely did anything. Gnawing at it did not make it budge.

  • The apprentice peeked at the "fox" outside but what she saw was her fellow clanmate.

"Losteyes!",she meowed in relief, cringing a bit at his name afterwards... it's a good thing he couldn't see her. "There is these teeth clamped together", she tried to explain the zipper that had her trapped under the button flap. "Pull the bigger tooth! I saw the badger use that to trap me in here!".

  • Losteyes nodded and attempted to pull the tooth. It did not give in at first. Soon, he got the big tooth out of the way. "What next?" He asked.

  • Dapplepaw scrambled out of the pocket, panting heavily. "That was all!", she breathed. She coughed, sneezed, EVERYTHING she just wanted the scent off from her throat and nose.

Then...she saw a maggot clinging to her leg, well some maggots clinging to her legs. If she spoke maggot and had super hearing she would hear the screaming 'Nosss!!' and 'Don't leave warm butt!' but she didn't of course and rolled all over the grass trying to get rid off all those mini white things. "Get it off!! EW!!".

  • Losteyes padded over to where Dapplepaw scrambled in the grass. "What was in there?" He asked, smelling the foul odor. "Did something die in there? He wondered.

  • ooc: Probably another kitten.

ic: Dapplepaw padded to the river's edge and dipped her hind legs in, trying to shake as much of those things off. "I dunno",she meowed, not wanting to imagine what was in there. Her claws dug into the earth so she wouldn't float off... though with a strong tug she almost did but she climbed out quickly shaking her pelt.

  • "My first question is, why are you even out here?" He asked. Not like he was going to rat her out. Because of his blindness, he never went on any cool adventures, unless hunting counted.
