    Coalkit shook his head slightly, wind ruffling his soft fur. Starlessnight's theory seemed very unlikely. Even though the concept startled him, Coalkit thought he would be more logical to think that the leader was dead. "Starlessnight, can you... show me some warrior moves?" Coalkit mewed, in an attempt to lighten the mood.

    {IC} Moonlight padded over silently to Jasperheart and the other two cats. She examined his leg in silence, not daring to touch it, and finally mewed, "Y-yes, please Aconitepaw. That would be a big help... I'll need some cobwebs, rushes, comfrey root, and any stinging nettles you can find..."


    {Other} How about you lot stop fricking complaining and either accept what you have or do something about it to make it better?!?!


    Who am I to judge? I'm not exactly miss perfect either. No one is without imperfections or secrets.

    "Oh, uhm, sure. I can show you some simple moves." Starlessnight replied to the kit "Any particular ones you wanna know?"

    "Well..." Coalkit mewed, his voice trailing off into an inaudible whisper. "I don't really know any in particular, show can you just show me the basics?" He hadn't put much thought into actually training, as he felt the day he was announced and apprentice would never come. Was he supposed have the knowledge of a few moves, even though he was still considered a kit? He had no kin to teach the ways of battle. Coalkit swayed on his paws, pelt itching, at the image of himself gorging his claws into the sides of an unlucky opponent.

    "Well, then I guess you should choose. offensive side, or defensive side." She meowed, her grey flecked-tail flicking from side to side I don't know how to teach well..that's why I'm no mentor..but I'll try. Yet I need to be careful, because he is still just a kit.

    Dipping his head to the older she-cat, Aconitepaw whipped around and started briskly towards the camp entrance. Halfway there, however, he spotted Riverfall standing off to the side looking a bit lost. Veering off course, the medicine cat apprentice padded towards her; white-tipped tail twitching. "Riverfall, do you mind lending me a paw?" he meowed, blinking up at the warrior. "I'm going to fetch herbs for the wounded, but I doubt that I'll be able to bring all of it back myself."

    Aconitepaw headed to the river for rushes.
    OOC: I'm soooo sorry I haven't posted. I've been in D.C. for the past few days and haven't had any time to post.

    "Defensive, please," said Coalkit. He figured that it was obligatory for him to know at least a little of defense techniques, not just for the sake of being in a clan whom battles for what they desire, but for altogether survival. What if he happened to come upon the beast once more? He was only a defenseless scrap of fur. Coalkit was clueless on whether or not Valoreclan had any enemies or not, but thought it would be smart to be ready.

    "Well, first, if a cat leaps at you, try to evade to the side and swipe your claws at their belly. i'm not going to leap at you, because if I did hit you, it would hurt you, so just pretend somethings coming at you, evade, then swing." Starlessnight meowed

    "Alright," mumbled Coalkit, slightly taken aback by her words. Of course, he had the word 'kit' in his name, but that didn't necessarily mean he was a kit. It urged him further in longing to be named a 'paw, and he fiddled with pebbles, and glancing back up to see Starlessnight. Coming to the conclusion that she wanted him to perform the move, Coalkit pounced to the side of Starlessnight in an attempt of attack, but landed awkwardly sideways at an angle where he couldn't swipe.

    "Good first attempt" Starlessnight meowed "Just try to land in a position you can swipe at, it's hard at first but it gets easier."

    "Ok," meowed Coalkit, retreating back to his earlier position. He eyed Aconitepaw in the distant, looking rather bored, but he quickly snapped his head back and returned to the lesson. Coalkit jumped, executing an almost perfect landing, but then swung out a flimsy paw that couldn't do any damage if Coalkit had tried harder. "Oops!" he exclaimed, his paw generating a soft breeze as he swung.

    "Good landing. When you swing, swing as hard as you can" She meowed, nodding to the kits efforts at learning
