  • Silvermist padded to the stepping stones, followed by Dewkit-or should she say, DewPAW. "Here we are!" she mewed cheerfully, or at least trying to sound that way. Falconpaw had been very tired the past few days. She shook her head to focus on Dewpaw's training. "First off, are there any questions that you have about the warrior code, Dewpaw?"

  • "No mam Silvermist!" Dewpaw sighed dreamily. "Dewpaw sounds so great." She said in that dreamy tone she seemed to use a lot.

  • "Ok. Let's get started. I have hidden a mouse and a vole in these bushes. I need you to distinguish their scents. Bring me back the mouse to start. If you bring me the vole, you don't get the reward. Ready? Go!" Silvermist steps out of the way.

  • Dewpaw ran into a random bush and started sniffing for the mouse. She spotted something furry. She sniffed the air around it.

  • All of a sudden the furry thing ran out of the bush. Dewpaw started chasing the mouse and pounced on it. She had almost killed it when she pounced.

  • Silvermist jumped in surprise when she saw that her new apprentice had caught a mouse on her first day out. "Well done!" she said with true excitement. Even Falconpaw hadn't caught his first prey until they had been training for a few days. "I guess we don't need to review scents then! Now I need you to show me a stalking position, like this," she crouched down toward a bush and paused just before a leap into the bush. She came back with a ball of moss, which served the purpose of a fake mouse.

  • Dewpaw crouched low. She pounced on the moss ball. She going by instinct.

  • After stalking training, Silvermist decided to teack Dewpaw how to climb trees fast and jump from limb to limb with ease. She climbed to the top of a tree with ease and motioned for Dewpaw to try to follow her. She waited on a branch to see what Dewpaw would do.

  • Dewpaw walked up to the tree. Then, she backed up a few feet. She ran and jumped onto the tree. She held onto it with her claws. She inched her way up to the lowest branch. She stopped and thought for a moment. Then she hopped in a zig zag pattern to the branch Silvermist was on. She sat on it and smiled at her mentor.

  • Without notice, Silvermist bolted from branch to branch, hoping Dewpaw would find her by scent and speed as she hid behind some leaves about 100 yards away. She settled down and waited.

  • Dewpaw was surprised at first. But she caught on quickly. She managed to remember the general direction Silvermist went. But stopped and sniffed the air. She smelled Silvermist vaguely.

  • Silvermist stayed hidden, not letting Dewpaw know where she was. Hopefully she would find her soon so they could go back to camp.

  • Dewpaw sniffed the air and hopped from branch to branch closer and closer to Silvermist. She spotted her. "Aha!" She said and jumped to Silvermist

  • "Good work! Now, believe it or not, our training for the day is over. We will go back to camp, and, as an apprentice, you need to stop by the Elders' den to see if they need anything."

OOC: Do you want to do a time jump of a week or two?

  • (Sure! Go ahead!)

Dewpaw jumped down in her zig zag motion from branch to branch.

  • OOC: Time jump.....NOW!!! * swirling in a portal filled with chocolate and mashed potatos*

Silvermist woke up a week after she had begun her training with Dewpaw. She was doing really well. She would have to be rewarded today with a little "Field trip"

  • (Wouldn't chocolate and mashed potatoes be a bad combo?)

    Dewpaw woke up.

  • "Of course Silvermist!" Dewpaw said with a crooked smile. I hope it won't take all day. I should ask. "Is it gonna take all day Silvermist?"
