When she questioned where we were going, a hint of a smirk crept onto my lips. "IHOP! The International House of Pancakes of course." Excitement was buzzing through me, and I only had said a simple name. The place was amazing, and although the name sounded pretty cliche, it was still a tasty restaurant. Only several minutes had passed since we arrived. The parking lot was busy with activity, and I knew there would be a wait once we got inside. I couldn't help but feel disappointed because technically it was our first official date, and she had to wait. Oh well, it wouldn't be too bad. Waiting for the food would make it taste even better. Plus, it would mean I could have more time to talk to her. I killed the engine of the truck, before hurrying to Alexandria's side and opening the door for her. I was pretty shy, and it wasn't anything unusual for me, but I knew that if her and I were to have a relationship, I'd need to force myself to be more comfortable. As nervous as I was, I slipped my hand into hers once more, and just as our palms touched, chills went down my spine. Now I admit, I had had a couple girlfriends in the past that I thought were the real deal, but none of them gave me this kind of reaction. "Sorry we will have to wait." I apologized sincerely, meeting her gaze with my own cerulean orbs.
