Hi, so I'm at home and it's the middle of our school holidays and it's just me and my younger brother home. And I've just started to get pains in like my lower right area, kind of around your abdomen or appendix area I guess. The first thing I kind of thought was appendicitis because the pains are in that area... But at the moment I'm only getting pains and a slight lack of appetite, as in I didn't want breakfast this morning which is a little odd for me.

Should I let someone (parent) know or is it something that should just pass? I'm just a bit worried that it will be appendicitis and I'm not sure exactly what to do.

Try eating something first, you may just be hungry, even if you didn't feel hungry. I wouldn't worry too much about it, sometimes it's just gas or a bruise. If it starts to hurt any more than it does right now, then I'd say yes, let an adult know, or even let them know now just in case.

^Quite likely - Don't stress about it too much, if the pain continues to last for a long time/gets bad then tell an adult

    Okay, thanks guys (:
I'm grabbing something to eat now and I'll see how it goes.

  • [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 400px][justify][size=8]try jumping and landing on your heels -- if you can't, that's a tell tale sign of appendicitis. like, you'll know if you can't -- there'll be super duper pain like you feel like you're going to die. but that's all i know about appendicitis. and even then i'm not 100% sure haha,,,

    hope you feel better, though!!

My uncle had appendicitis and he said that he was in so much pain that he was basically unable to move without feeling agonizing pain. I think you might just be bloated or maybe constipated. Try eating a banana or pear since those two foods are good to help ease both. Also, try belching to release the gas build up in your intestines. Both of these can cause intense abdominal pain, but are quite harmless and easily treatable. However, if the pain persists, you should definitely talk to your parent(s)/guardian(s) about it.

As predicted the right foods got rid of the pain, I stressed out a bit over nothing, which I tend to do a fair bit actually. Thanks guys <3
