  • Honeypaw:

    Honeypaw ran back to the WindClan camp. "SkyClan will help us in the battle!" she announced to the cats. She couldn't stop thinking about Blazepaw. Was he OK? Did she have a crush on him? Did she really want to break the WindClan rules and fall in love with him?

  • Gravelstar was a strong leader. Sablepaw knew that much like the back of her paw. And she knew a lot of problems had faced her Clan, put them on edge, and endangered them. Most of the time, however, Sablepaw was never allowed to aid in such endeavors. Even being 8 moons old, she was young. Older than a few of her other apprentices, but was young enough to be kept back quite often.

    Still. Whatever the case, Sablepaw would give herself to this endeavor as well. She had been at the Clan meeting, had heard everything, and now she wished to do something, even if it endangered her. Other Clans were going to help WindClan; being a part of this Clan, the black she-cat would go to any length to do so as well. No matter her spunk, her sarcasm, she cared deeply for the Clan that raised her.

    Even if it terrified her to the ends of her fur.

    "I want to help, too!" she meowed to her Clanmates, eyes alight with determination. "What can I do?"

  • "You could come on patrol with me and Goldenpaw," Acidclaw said, turning to Sablepaw.

  • "Could I?" Sablepaw mewed hopefully to Acidclaw. Nodding with duty, her eyes met those of the warrior. To be taken on a patrol, in lieu of a war! It was both... exciting and horrifying all at once. To think that she might somehow become involved in battle... Sablepaw only hoped that, if and when the time came, Morningdew, her mentor's, training would pay off.

    "Yes! Thank you."

  • Sablepaw sought out the eyes of the apprentice beside her with a bit of amusement, the turbulent winds -- as if signifying the changes to occur -- ruffling her long, soft fur. "Excited, Goldenpaw?"

    She stared up at the sky. "I can't say I'm not, though!"

  • Sablepaw faltered with doubt, lowering her own mew to a quiet whisper with the other apprentice. "...It's kinda scary, though, isn't it? We might get involved in a war."

  • "You can't spell warrior without war! We could be warriors after this! Unless you're too young or Gravelstar doesn't think we're ready," Goldenpaw replied, her voice a bit louder, but not loud enough for others to hear.

  • OOC; How old is Goldenpaw? Just curious :o

    IC;

    "You have a point. Maybe I can prove myself to the Clan this way," Sablepaw thought aloud, her mind drifting off into her insecurities of being one of the more reprimanded apprentices. Even after this, she had much to learn. She likely would not become a warrior, even if she proved to help greatly in this war.

    I'm too young and inexperienced, the she-cat told herself in her mind, disappointment plaguing her inner tone. This... won't make me into a warrior.

  • ooc; like 11 and a half moons.
    ic; "I hope I've got all my moves down. I even made up some myself to confuse enemies," Goldenpaw meowed, back to her normal tone.

  • OOC || Hiii! Popping in, if that's all right? <3

    IC ||
    War, huh? When she first stumbled upon this place -- this "WindClan" -- she hadn't the first clue about their state of affairs. She had wandered far from her old home, an old disbanded group she had once been a part of, in hope of finding a new and peaceful life in a new forest, unbound by the complications of drama and family betrayal. But in today's clan meeting, she learned that this new home of hers was not entirely free of drama, either. They were at war. War... how she hated that word.

    Morningdew rolled her tongue over her whiskers, sitting idle in her place where the Clan meeting had occurred moments before. Most of the others had disbanded by now, but the lone cream-colored female stayed in her place, gazing off at nothing, as if envisioning both the camp and the territory beyond filled with throngs of squirming, hissing, spitting cats, all drawing blood and staining the world in a tide of crimson.

    She didn't want to be a part of that. But this place, in her few moons of being here, had been good to her. Though not the bravest of cats, Morningdew had more than enough dignity to prove that she was not a coward. Like other clan cats, she had been born with an ingrained sense of loyalty, even if this was not her birth clan; she would stand beside it and protect the warriors around her who helped her every day preserve this territory and feed their young. She owed it to them, and even if it brought her to death, it would be a death of honor.

    She rose to her paws, then. Her eyes swept about camp, the same one she had viewed many times and yet was still not completely familiar with; inside of it, she spotted her own apprentice alongside another, and nearby them, a warrior she had vaguely come to recognize as Acidclaw. He appeared to be searching for something. Were they assembling a patrol, perhaps? "Acidclaw!" She called across the camp to him, trotting over with her tail low, but her eyes set forward and determined. "Do you need warriors? I'm free. I can come with you."

    I want to help this clan, She thought to strengthen her own conviction. ...And I want to keep an eye on the apprentices, too.

  • Acidclaw had seen the fellow warrior and had been about to call out to her to ask if she would come, when she asked to. "Yes, please. Gravelstar asked me to lead a patrol," He rose. Time to go?

  • Gravelstar herself. The warrioress knew these were serious affairs.

    Morningdew dipped her head toward her fellow warrior. "Lead the way." She let her eyes fall across the two apprentices; they both looked frightened stiff, but determined. She could admire their courage. That strength in the face of war was what made one a warrior.

    With only a nod of encouragement toward both of them, she looked back to her equal. "What is our mission, Acidclaw? Are we fighting? Are we checking borders?" Her eyes remained still on his expression, searching it for any unspoken response.

  • The arrival of Morningdew was one that made Sablepaw sit up straight in her place, as if to erase the bits of fear that made themselves in the subdued look in her eyes. It excited her to know that the more familiar she-cat would be accompanying them; if anything, all the more way to prove herself to the Clan that she was more than a rebellious apprentice.

    Dipping her head slowly to her mentor, saying nothing aside from the stray thought that it was nice of her to finally make herself known to them, Sablepaw turned her head to the apprentice beside her, noting the tenseness of her body. "Don't worry. Morningdew is my mentor," she assured the small she-cat, before looking to Acidclaw not far off. Her ears perked up with attentiveness to hear his orders. No, rather, the orders of their leader, having been relayed onto him.
