IC: "Oh. Well we might as well chase it our, right?" She said. Trotting towards the smell. But when sh got there it was something worse. It was a bear. Sage froze as the bear swunga paw. It it her and she went flying. She acked against a tree with a yelp. The bear roared and charged her.
Cobalt froze, never having dealt with a bear before. He finally ran at it, leaping and sinking his fangs into the bear's throat. He held himself there, only giving himself a moment to look back at Sage.
Shias head flew up, her eyes widened and her ears perked. A bear. She had heard the roar. And it didn't sound like a happy bear. She leaped towards, her paws thundering against the ground as she ran towards the sound, the only goal in the quiet females mind; to protect her pack members. She had just barely avoided a meeting with a bear a year ago, though she had seen it long enough to realize, if that creature caught up to you with it's massive claws and teeth, you're as good as dead if you didn't move fast.
She arrived at the scene, her amber orbs first darting towards the bear and Cobalt hanging from it's throat, then noticed Sage on the ground. She hesitated, but chose and lunged at the bears back, digging her teeth into it's scruff and clawing it's back with her claws.
She was determined to get the bear away from the seemingly injured, or maybe stunned, wolf. Since she didn't look for long, she didn't know.
She threw her weight backwards, physically forcing the bears weight to shift away from Sage. Since the fur on a bear was quite thick at its neck, it was difficult to get a grip properly, and she hoped Cobalt was very lucky to hit a fatal spot. He was after all in the range f the bears claws from where he was hanging.
Cobalt yelped as the bear dug its claws into his ribs. He fell to the ground, whimpering in pain. "Sage, are you okay?" he asked weakly.
Shia hadn't noticed Sage falling off, but she did notice that the bears attention on her increased a lot. She kept growling and clawing at it's back, narrowly missing getting clawed at her left leg, which she was quick to get out of range. Her improvising had worked, the bear was staggering further and further away, almost completely forgotten the two injured wolves. It instead focused on Shia, which in some way, was a good and a bad thing. Good because it probably wouldn't try to murder her pack mates, and bad because she didn't stand much of a chance against a large furious bear. She realized she was lucky if she escaped with her life intact.
Cobalt stood, blood seeping from his wounds. He ran bac at the bear, ignoring the seering pain in his ribs. He leaped on its back and latched on with a death grip.
Shia desperately wanted him to stay down, instead of drawing the attention towards himself again. The blood didn't do anything but tempt the bear even more, and she would hate to see him killed because she couldn't distract the bear long enough. Suddenly, the bear made a sharp movement, and she realized what the bear was up to, but too late. She got crushed against a tree, each and every bone and muscle in her body screaming in pain, and black spots dotting her vision. Her jaws slackened their grip on the bear, and her body fell limp without her command. She fell to the ground with a blunt thud when the bear moved again, her ears ringing and her head pounding mercilessly. She couldn't figure out what was up and down. She was disorientated by the blow, a small line of blood trickling down the side of her head from a wound made by a piece of wood.
She fought to regain fully consciousness, to get back and keep fighting.
Cobalt's body ached and he whimpered every movement that the bear made. He pulled himself up to the bear's neck and bit down, crushing its jugular vein. The bear fell limply to the ground and as did Cobalt.
Shias vision was very blurry, everything was like a splotch, with no real shape or size. Slowly though, it cleared up. Her headache still raged, but she was slowly regaining her sight and feeling in her aching body. She shakily stood up, staggering a few steps slowly towards the bear, almost tripping after a few steps. She noticed Cobalts chest rising and falling, which was good, and she noticed the bear was no longer moving, which was also good. Something wet dripped down her forehead, and it took for a few seconds to realize what it was. Blood. She knew she wouldn't be able to handle this alone, so she stumbled down into a sitting position, and howled for help, not for herself but for the two others.
Her howl was weak and cracking, and broke at the end as she collapsed into a half-unconscious state, still registering things around her very faintly, but not fully conscious and without control of her aching limps.
Firestar heard the howl and bolted towards the sound. He found Shias and the others. He registered the dead bear and all the bloodshed. He padded into the woods and grabbed some moss. He covered the wounds and went to look for some herbs.
Shia regained consciousness slowly, and managed a small grateful smile at him, before it turned into a pained grimace at her thundering headache. "Are.. They alright?" She asked quietly, not really worrying for her own health, more about the two others.
"Yes. I think Cobalt should be fine, but the other one may be cuncussed. Are you feeling better?" Firestar asked, taking a seat beside her.
Shia shrugged lightly. "Good to hear they're kind of alright, and I'm better, getting squished against a tree really hurts... That bear was smarter than I gave it credit for, such a stupid mistake.." She scolded herself, realizing she should have known better than underestimating it. She was relieved the others were alright. She didn't dare move her head just yet, settling with staying still of a bit while her head got some rest, hopefully making the throbbing fade.
Firestar glanced down at her, catching a glimpse of her beauty. "Would you like me to carry you back to camp? You can stay in my den if you would like," he said.

IC: A red and black blur reached Sage. Novie nudged her. He whimpered. "Sage? Come on sis!" He whispered.
Sage layed limp, blood stained her once white fur. Her eyes where closed and she was on her aide.
Shia was about to reply, but silenced when she watched what happened with the two wolves. "Oh no..." She breathed out and struggled to turn herself so she could see Sage properly. "Does... Anyone know anything, about healing?" She murmured, trying to focus, squinting her soft amber eyes.
