Peter put his books into his locker grumpily. He was not happy at his new school. It didn't feel right. He didn't have any friends and was awkward in the new crowd of people. He kind of stuck out too. He'd already been poked at, given weird glances, and yelled at by multiple people. Not a single person cared enough to ask him his name outside of class so far and he ate food alone at brunch and lunch. Ever since he joined this school too, he couldn't stop thinking about River. He hadn't thought of her in like nine years since he joined the school, and now all of a sudden she was back in his mind. The same thought re-ran through his head as he thought of the girl he missed dearly. Is she still alive? Is she ok? Is she happy? It was torture every day to think about the girl that had been torn away from his life without any warning. It still hurt after what, ten years? He shook his head looking down at his shoes. No. He can't stop and feel sorry for himself now. He had his own life separate from hers and he needed to move on. He looked up glancing around again at the people he would be graduating with. Then, he saw her. This girl that he saw walk by every day. No big deal she was just some girl that walked by every once and a while. She was beautiful, from what he saw, but then, as he watched her walk by this time, he saw her eyes. Bright, dazzling green eyes, and hauntingly familiar. Peter stopped clumsily, awkwardly, as he watched the girl walk by with a small strut to her step. Thoughts raced through his mind. No... It can't be. No way that isn't her, how could that be her? Unfortunately he didn't have time to think, for some kid thought it'd be funny to shove him aside into the lockers. He grunted as his shoulder hit the hard metal of the lockers, yet quickly in a last minute flurry yelled out, "River!" to the girl who was walking away too fast for him to catch up.

(Yeah I default to past tense, but if you want I can make it present tense?)

  • River stoped hearing her name. there was something about how the person said it. She turned around seeing Peter. Peter?! She walked up to him, helping him up. "P-Pete...?" The thought of him really being Peter made her happy yet shocked. She was wearing a cream cut-off t-shirt with shorts. If this was Peter she didn't know what she would do, it was ten years since she had last seen him. She remebered the day that it happened; the next day all she could think about is if he would miss her. But as the days whent on, she wanted him to move on; she thought she would never see him again. But Now...

  • Peter's eyes widened as the girl walked up to him and helped him up. No. It couldn't- it can't be. How could this be possible it was River! Peter tried to form words from his lips, but only a mere squeak came out as she helped him onto his feet. His hazel eyes were amazingly wide and didn't break contact with River's at all from the moment she helped him up. He couldn't help it. She looked so different, but hey it's been ten years, right? Maybe she only changed physically, but that too was unlikely. The only thing he had to go off of her was her voice, which was surprisingly nice, and he eyes. Finally realizing that he hadn't talked yet, Peter cleared his throat. "Rive-" his voice cracked going up an octave. He blushed a dark red color then tried again. "River." he said this time unfaltering. "You-You-... You're alive." he managed to spit out from his lips. "And you... remember me."

  • River looked down, "Yes, Pete..." She didn't know what els to say. It's not like they where old friends that just happened to bump into each other; she had been kidnapped. She looked up at Peter again. He had grown, that was for sure. His eyes where the same, appart from being shocked. She knew she had missed him, but not this much.

  • Peter shuffled his feet awkwardly. He wasn't sure what to say. Anything would be fine. "Uh... I thought all this time you'd still be taller than me." he muttered still examining his shoes.

  • "Yeah I-" River stoped as the bell rang. "What class are you in? I'm in computer."

  • "Oh uh, next I have bio. Its right near each other. Meet at brunch? here?" he said pointing to the ground. he was still in complete shok seeing her, and wouldn't be able to think of anything else the next period.
    (sorry I'm in a hurry :/)

  • River smiled, "Yeah, sure." She said. Her phone buzzed she looked at it her smile faided a bit. "Okay, I have to go, see ya, here." She said and started to walk away. She never thought she'd see Peter again; his brown hair and hazel eye where the same. But she knew thing would be..... Different.

  • "Uh-uh-... yeah ok see you then." he said awkwardly with a small smile. He walked up a small hop to his step. What had just happened? This was unbelievable! He had dreamed and dreamed of seeing her again, mostly in hopelessness, but now, he felt like he could run to the moon and back. "What are you so happy about dork?" he heard one kid say, and he just smiled and laughed. "You're so original, wow, dork. Why didn't I think of that?" he said shooting him finger guns and running into his class before he could be punched in the face.

  • River looked at her phone again, Everry time! She thought, normally this would be okay; but now, with Peter. She walked into class, sitting at a computer.

  • (ok, I'll start)
Peter walked to the lockers where he'd last meat River. The thought still made him giddy. I walked with a great happy stride and a smile glued to his face. Though, one part of him was scared. Like scared out of his mind. What if River didn't like him anymore? What if she was someone completely different? What if he'd changed too much? Though, he didn't let these thoughts make him look sad. He walked on happily stopping at the lockers he met her at.

  • River walked out of the class. Putting aside what she had to do that night, and stopped beside Peter. "Ready?" She said with a smile. She was excited to get to know Peter again.

  • Peter smiled down at her and gave a small sigh. "As I'll ever be." he said shrugging. He wasn't sure what to think. If someone had told him yesterday he'd meet River today, he'd laugh. But now, she's here and he has to be cool. "You start."

  • River started walking with Peter to the Cafeteria. "How have you been...?" She said. How am I going to tell him? she though.

  • "I've been ok. I just transfered here from a different school, so I've been a bit behind socially. If you didn't see that already." he said awkwardly getting quieter. "But, I feel better now. What about you?" he asked her.

  • River looked down, "Well... For the most part I've been good..." She trailed off, not knowing what to say. "I've missed you." She said, looking back up at Peter with a smile.
