  • Oh ha ha blonde moment

Lexi jumped when he yelled and dropped her knife in the sand. She looked at him wide eyed for a minute. She hadn't really talked to anyone and was more scared of men then running into a tornado. "I.... I'm sorry." She mumbled backing up a little "I'll go."

  • Ooc: I would like to apologize in advance for this god-awful post.
    IC:
He raised his eyebrows. "Okay... but you should probably stay inside if you don't want to, y'know, die..."
Rico, who was unused to talking to people, awkwardly turned around and opened the metal hatch in the ground. "Umm... see you all later." He grabbed onto the top rungs of the ladder under the hatch and climbed down the well-lit hole.
What's gotten into me today? He was in an unusually talkative mood today, but talking to people always got him into trouble. Normally he was more quiet and reserved. Get a grip! He reached the bottom, about twenty feet down. Now he was in a small room with an elevator and the door to a rarely-used stairwell.

  • As the boy went down to Dryden, Clover looked at the girl carefully. She semed afraid. "Hey, its alright. I'm Clover and this is my brother Jasper." She introduced. "You really should listen to that kid. Theres gotta something really bad about this storm." Jasper smiled at her.
"You're kind of cute" he raised he eyebrows at her.

  • "It's nice to meet you two, I'm Lexi..." She blushed glancing at jasper then to clover "what's down.... There?" She asked quietly ponting to the door the guy had just gone through. The winds started to pick up and blow sand and she frowned "tornado."

  • Jasper winked at the blushing Lexi and answered her question. "That down there is the city of Dryden. Which we should get there by now. I'll grab the back packs. You should come with us, Lexi." He walked to the back room, and returned with two backpacks. "Alright. Lets go. Clover nodded.
"I'll go first. Lexi, follow me. Then Jasper goes down after. " She then opened the hatch and quickly climbed down the ladder, willing Lexi to follow.

  • Raven quietly came into the room through a back door. She winced when the floorboards creaked. She rounded a corner and froze in place. She was right behind the boy she had heard earlier. She looked at the new girl, then back at the boy. She had just blown her cover and was now standing out in the open. This day just sucked.

  • Lexi jumped in surprise spinning around into Jasper's chest. She backed up and watched the new girl in silence for a moment before speaking softly "hello... How are you?" She asked the question everyone used to ask.

  • Jasper chuckled but stopped immediatly when the wind picked up outside. "I hate to break this up but if we dont get down there, we'll become the first humans to fly. Ladies first" he gestured to the hatch, reaching to grab Lexi's hand.

Meanwhile, Clover wondered where Jasper was. Suddenly, she remembered the boy she saw earlier. Maybe we should find him.

  • Lexi looked up at him and looked down at his hand and smiled "your such a gentlemen." She mumbled smiling and quietly moved down the hatch ladder letting go of his hand slowly. She reached the bottom and waited for jasper and the girl.

  • Raven just looked at him. He was quite the good looking guy, but Raven wasn't sure if she trusted him. She looked at him for a moment. (not glaring or quizzical, just a casual look) Then she nodded to him in thanks and climbed down the hatch. When she reached to bottom, she looked at the other girl. Then back up at the top of the hatch.

  • Clover watched as Lexi made her way down the ladder. She was suprised when she saw another girl climb down after instead of Jasper. Suddenly, she heard a loud racket at the top. It sounded like the tornado was starting.

Jasper watched as the unknown girl went down the ladder. He suddenly realized he forgot his fathers locket in the back room. Closing the hatch, he ran to grab it. When he came back, the tornado has gotten worse. The windows to the shack shook and burst open. Papers blew around. Jasper struggled to open the hatch when a gust of wind knocked him and a box over. Before the storm got worse, he climbed into the hatch, shut it tight, and climbed down the ladder, breathing heavily.
    "That was close"

  • "You guys ok?!" Lexi asked the girl and him worried as she heard the explosions of the tornados. Lexi looked to the other girl and pushed her hair over her shoulder.

  • Rico waited in the elevator. On the wall was a sign detailing important floors, and on Floor 296 (going down) was a hotel. The elevator took about three minutes to reach it. There were only 300 floors, so this was almost the bottom. The recreational space was on Floor 300. But since this was a fairly small town compared to others, there was only one elevator.
There was a ding, the doors opened, and he stepped out into a wide hallway.

  • Clover sighed in relief when she saw Jazz expertly making his way down the ladder. "Thats everyone" he said, holding onto the straps of his backpack. "Lets move out. We should get some rooms. This might take a while." He nodded his head towards the elevator. Clover nodded. "Right. Hotels?" She asked Lexi and the other. She turned to the unidentified girl. "I'm Clover by the way." She turned and pressed the elevator button, waiting for it to come up from an unknown lower level.

  • "I'm Lexi..." She smiled shyly at the girl then held her hands behind her back. She tilt back on her heels nervously and blinked watching the elevator

  • There were three different hotels, each with a sign on the door including its name, the quality of the rooms, and the cost. He chose the cheapest one with the smallest amount of rooms, run by a Mrs. Wagner. She was seated at a small desk when he entered, drinking black coffee. "You lookin' for a room?" Rico nodded. She smiled. "Well, you're in the right place. How many nights?"
    "Just one."
She nodded and took a sip of coffee. "It's 90 bucks a night. And I only take cash."

  • ((So, Cloverdrift, do you want them to all stay in the same hotel or do you want us in different ones?))

Clover watched as the elevator door opened and stepped in, Jasper motioning for the others to go before him. Clover raised her eyesbrows at the buttons, trying to figure out which floor they wanted to be on. We're going to the hotels so thats floor number 296., she thought to herself.

  • Lexi slowly stepped in clenching her hands, she had always been scared of elevators. She looked down at her feet and pushed her hands in her pockets to stop them from shaking.
