  • Emily had jumped slightly when Ashton walked up behind her and pulled her into his chest, but settled when she realized it was him. "Are we gonna unpack the car first?" She asked without trying to look back at him, knowing he could hear her perfectly fine. She was instead looking at the rest of the band, a small smile coming to her face as she thought about how relaxed and calmed down Ashton was now that they were out of their hometown.

  • Ashton shrugged, even though she couldn't see him, "If you want to go finish up your ap in the room, the guys and I can go get some lunch." He suggested, slipping the room key into her hand. He had no clue if they were even staying, but he didn't want to openly admit that to Emily, who he had at his side for his crazy leap of faith, and they hadn't landed yet.

  • "You're going to get lunch at nine in the morning?" Emily laughed out, turning around in his as so that she was now facing him. She put her arms around his neck loosely, looking up into his gorgeous eyes. "Aren't you tired, Ash? You just drive for four hours straight." She messed with the wild curls at the nape of his neck, tilting her head to the side slightly.

  • Ashton seemed to be thoughtful for a second, his expression switched, but in mid-expression he screamed, "Nope!" Quickly kissed her and walked around to the back of the car, laughing, getting her bags. Gently picking up her stuff and his duffel, he bobbed his head to the door of the room they were staying in. Attempting to get her to get the door for him, with that expert smile.

  • Emily just rolled her eyes and walked ahead towards the room, looking down at the ground before she reached the door. She unlocked it and stepped into the room quietly. "This is actually nice." She said out loud, not sure if Ashton was behind her or not. The room was a little small but convenient, and the bed looked very comfortable. She yawned quietly and placed a hand over her mouth for a moment before she casually relaxed.

  • "For a motel, yeah." Ashton smiled, setting their stuff down, they were going to have to get used to this, and Emily's positivity just made him smile twice as bright, "I love you." He smirked, Walking over to her and just wrapping his long arms around her again, picking her up, in the warm embrace. He knew that if he had left her, he would never have found someone more perfect for him, there was one other half to your heart, and Ash was certain that Emily was his.

  • Emily squealed as he picked her up, her arms instantly going around his neck. "Ashton!" She laughed out, her eyes closing for a moment before the shock wore away. "Gosh, don't do that!" She complained, though it was clear she was happy with his little surprise. "I love you too, Little Drummer Boy." She teased with a saucy grin.

  • Ashton lowered her back onto her feet. Keeping his arms wrapped around her, but leaning back just enough so he could see her beautiful face, and he brushed some hair out of her face. He tossed the car keys onto the bed, "I'm so happy you're here." His voice graced smoothly.

  • Emily nodded her head, agreeing along with him. "I'm glad I came along with you." She said softly as she ran her hands through his curly hair, a small smirk on her face. "Though I'm a little sad that you won't take a nap with me." She said while settling her hands back on his shoulders, not wanting to be weird or anything with messing with his hair.

  • Ashton smiled, "We have plenty of time to take naps, personally, I just want some take out and to go over our life-scheadule." He planted a kiss in the middle of her forehead, and stepped outside where the boys were standing, all looking like they were about to die of laughter.
"Man, I wish you would put that much lovey-crap into the songs that you write." Clark chuckled, he played bass.
"I mean, we would be headliners by now." Jake joked, he was Ash's writing partner, they did most of the songs.
Ashton blushed for a second before punching Jake's shoulder lightly, and giving a friendly greeting to his other band mate. "You outta hush," He play-threatened.
Marcus ducked his head towards Emily, "You gonna hold down the fort? Or come with?" He asked through chuckles at the boy's antics.

  • "I think I'm gonna stay here." Emily said while tucking a lock of her dark hair behind her ear. "I'm actually going to fall asleep for a little bit then eventually do some other stuff." Her cheeks were a light pink as she avoided looking at Clark or Jake, knowing she would only get teased more by them if she did reach their gaze.

  • "Love you darlin'" Ashton called over his shoulder, as the boys practically dragged him down the sidewalk to Clark's mustang. He laughed at something that Jake had murmured as he fixed his bandanna. His phone was ringing again, but he could've cared less when he checked to see that it was one of Cullen's boys. He rolled his eyes and hit ignore. They all climbed into the car and headed down to the burger joint that was just a block down from the motel. Ash was definitely a little iffy about leaving Em alone right off the bat, but he figured she might want some time to catch her breath, alone.

  • Emily watched them leave, then shut the door and locked it, her blush quickly evaporating. Now that she was alone, she was definitely thinking more about what her parents said to her, what Cullen said to her, what Shannon screamed at her. It was a lot for the girl to take, and by the time she made it over to the bed she was a little pale and there were tears in her eyes. She laid under the covers and suddenly wished she would've gone with Ashton, but closed her eyes anyway and hoped that she could fall asleep soon enough.

  • Personally, I think I'm way to curious, wanting to know what they all said to her, haha!

Ashton and the boys just ordered something for everyone, and Ash ordered for Emily too, just in case she got hungry, later. He leaned against the railing as the young cashier worker, flirted aimlessly with the three other boys, but Ash kept his distance. The all headed out again, back towards the motel, Ash so happy for the speed of In and Out Burger, he was already worried about Emily.

  • Emily just stayed cuddled up in the bed, not really staying warm with her just being by herself. She looked down at her iPhone in her hand and clicked the home button, lighting up her lock screen wallpaper. The brunette gazed at her wallpaper silently. It was a picture from one of the few summer get together's that Shannon had, and Ashton had actually been invited to it. Everyone had gotten along at the party and by the time the picture was taken, she was shining because everything had gone right. Ashton was to her left and Shannon was to her right, and it was clear how happy she was.

  • They were quick to be back into the motel parking lot, and Ash grabbed food and jogged towards their room, telling the boys he would meet them in a second. He knocked lightly on the door before using his key to pop the door open. When he stepped inside he set the take out bags on the small coffee table, and sat by Emily's feet on their bed, a warm smile on his face, "I'm sorry I was gone so long." He said, checking out his own phone background for a second. It was a picture that Jake had taken of Ash and Emily, when they went to the beach for a group trip, the band, their dates, and some friends, a big party, but it always brought back great memories.

  • "You weren't even gone for fifteen minutes, Ash." Emily said while sitting up, dropping her phone on the bed beside her as she looked at the curly headed guy who she loved so dearly. "Don't worry about it." She smiled faintly at him, though it didn't completely reach her eyes. She looked down at the bedspread for a moment before she got out of it and instead sat by him on the end of the bed, resting her head on his shoulder.

  • Ashton pulled his arm around her, "It felt like centuries." He whispered to her, as they sat in the comfortable silence. He rubbed her arm and finally said, "Let's go discuss this life-plan, darling." He said, standing up, and offering her his hand, they were walking two doors down but everything seemed to be so dramatic in this day.

  • Emily swallowed quietly and took his hand, standing up also. She slipped on her flip flops and looked up at him, still looking tired. "Let's go do this, then." She said while moving towards the door, not really want him to look at her long enough because she knew head be able to spot what was wrong. She opened up the door and stepped outside without a jacket on, too lazy to put one on.

  • They walked into Clark's room where the guys were sitting on the twin sized bed, Jake had his guitar, while Marcus looked over some paperwork, and Clark played with a bouncy ball. Ash smiled and sat at the table, "What do we have?"
"We got a gig set up in two days at a bar off the highway." Marcus didn't look up.
"Reservations at a hotel, a lot nicer than this place." Clark caught the hot pink piece of plastic, only to bounce it again.
Ashton nodded, tapping his fingers on the table. "Are we gonna copy our demo? I think we need to start handing it out." He suggested.
"I have seven in my car." Jake strummed out a chord in repetition, humming awkwardly as he wrote something down in a notebook.
"I think, " Clark sat up, "That we should let our lady-friend have an opinion," He gestured towards Em, "Or any questions."
Ashton looked over at Emily, curious as to what was on her mind, or if she had an opinion. She knew all their songs, even the ones that weren't on their album, yet. He liked to be recording videos for Youtube and see her sitting behind the camera with Andrea, listening.
