  • Goldensoul pricked his ears to listen closely to Silverhawk. Oh yes, he was very excited to hear that he could go hunting. Casting a cheeky grin, he high-tailed it out of camp and disappeared in a matter of heartbeats. He let his mind go free as he paced himself to his heart's content. He remembered a rabbit hole that seemed occupied somewhere on the East side. He decided to check there first.

The egyptian mau she-cat began to stand, thankful that the meet and greet was over. She assumed Blackstripe would accompany the kit now and decided to leave without a word. She was highly curious about Sky, despite her looking unhealthy. What she did do out of respect, however, was not give her any signs that she was paying attention to the female. She didn't want to appear interested in a rogue. Instead, she stared at the fresh kill pile, wondering how it would fair during upcoming leafbare. Now lifting her chin, she closed her eyes and prayed in silence that the Light would gift them warmth for only a little while longer. Clouds above had slowly parted as she sat there for a while, the heat from the Light comforting her enough to hope it received her message. Leveling her head now, she smiled and checked the rest of the camp, making sure no one needed help with anything.

Stopping by at the medicine's den, she noticed Robinstar there and respectfully turned away to find something else to do. She was wondering if the medicine cat needed help with supplies since there was no apprentice yet for assistance, but since it was occupied she figured maybe she should just catch up with Goldensoul and hunt with him. She could have easily stood there and said something, but she itched with anxiety to just suddenly speak to Robinstar like that. She didn't know him too well yet to find that comfort zone in her to socialize. Spottedbreeze was finally able to stroll past the rogue at this point. May the Light guide her. I mean StarClan. She shook her head to herself as she continued on in a very calm manner. It seemed like her only option was to hunt for now.

  • She blinked staring at her paws, before glancing up at Spottedbreeze as she passed her. Sky shuffled around awkwardly and pawed at the dirt to keep her mind at ease, she doodled quietly. Drawing random things that could easily be erased.

  • Silverhawk gazes at the camp, watching quietly as cats shift among the camp. The silver tabby can't help but glance at the young rogue, 'she couldn't be older then six moons.' The tom-cat gazes back to the entrance, thinking silently. he remembers on how Cloudfeather died when he was still a kit, his only true friend at the time was Hawkpaw. Silverhawk glances up at the sky, half wishing that he could see his mother and brother again. 'I hope wherever you two are in Starclan, you have good hunting and warm days and nights.' The deputy then gazes back down at the camp, he couldn't help but glance at the rogue again. 'What would Robinstar do?'

The tom-cat looks at the medicine cat den, as if expecting answers from the leader himself. He then flicks his tail, 'Ah mouse-dung to it.' Silverhawk then stands up, and pads over to the young rogue. "Hello," He greets calmly, not wanting to frighten the she-cat. He sits down, gently curling his tail over his paws. "My name is Silverhawk."

  • She jumped, her flank pressing to the rock in a moment of panic. Sky had been focused on drawing in the dirt, not exactly at the cats staring at her. "H-hello... I'm Sky." She whispered staring up at him with her hetro colored eyes.

  • Blackstripe rose to his paws and shook out his pelt, eying the she-cat from afar. The watchful gaze ran over the showing bones, the shuffling paws, and the eyes. The eyes... they were odd. Two different colors, one seemingly always covered by that tuft of hair. "Midnightkit, do you mind staying here for a bit? I left a mouse out on the territory." He asked, looking down at his son. The kit nodded, though seemed a little sad. "Is something wrong?"

"I wanna come with, dad," Midnightkit replied, staring at his paws. It was dumb to be sad about it, he knew, but he didn't have much time with his father, especially with the cold times so close. Blackstripe was doing his duty to keep both the clan and Midnightkit safe, but without a mother, Midnightkit felt lonely. "Can't I?" He asked, looking up at his father with round eyes.

"I'm sorry, son, but it's too dangerous. The territory would be hard for a kit to travel, and it's too cold out there. What would I do if I lost you?" Blackstripe sighed and picked his son up by the scruff, setting him down on his feet. "I promise, I'll play with you for the rest of the day when I get back, sound good? Well, I'll have to show Sky around first, but then I promise I'll spend some time with you." The tom smiled gently, knowing exactly how Midnightkit felt. He hadn't had much time with his own father before the battle that took Lynxpelt's life. It could really hurt a kit. Midnightkit seemed satisfied with this answer, because he nodded happily and smiled in return. "I'll see you when I get back, stay in camp; you're safe here." Blackstripe said, and left to fetch his mouse.

  • "Sky," Silverhawk nods, blinking his pale blue eyes. "What a nice name." The silver tabby complements as he smiles softly, 'she's young and afraid, maybe kindness is all that she needs to see.' He glances at Blackstripe, watching the tom exit the camp, before looking back at Sky. "As you probably know, Robinstar is the leader of our clan." The tom-cat decides to make conversation, 'if she has questions about who we are, maybe she can get some answers.' "I am the deputy. And Blackstripe, the tom you meet earlier. Is one of our warriors."

  • She blinked, before nodding, "Thank you, your name is lovely too.." Sky sat down, craning her neck to look up at him. "I heard that Clan cats kill rogues, or they just torture them." She whispered, her neck fur once more laying flat.

  • Blackstripe headed towards the evergreen where his mouse was buried, following the scent trail that would lead him back to where Sky had been found. He walked slowly, ears perked for any activity amongst the foliage. He didn't want anything sneaking up on him. As Blackstripe walked, he thought. Where was Midnight now? Was she watching over her mate and kit? Or did she hate him for killing her? He had often tried to assure himself that it wasn't his fault she was dead, but it really came back to him. If she hadn't gotten pregnant, she wouldn't have died. Or maybe that was just what StarClan planned. Was that his punishment for breaking the warrior code?

A snarl fixed itself on his face. If that was his punishment, it was a terrible one. Such a horrible price to pay, and for what? Falling in love. It wasn't as if Blackstripe hadn't tried to convince Midnight to join the clan. He'd asked her many times, before and after he found out she was pregnant. And each time, she refused. Was he meant to leave his only love because Midnight had not been born within the clan? If that was it, StarClan was much less merciful than they thought. Blackstripe continued to walk until he came across the evergreen. He dug up his mouse and began his walk back to camp, ears perked once again for any signs of prey. The tom kept his mind blank now; thoughts against StarClan were treasonous and wrong. His parents hunted with StarClan, of course they would not take Midnight away simply because it was breaking the warrior code to be with her. She was harmless, she'd never hurt the clan, and Blackstripe just couldn't see why loving her was so wrong.

Meanwhile, in camp, Midnightkit walked over to Sky and Silverhawk with his chin up and his tail curved over his back. His chest was puffed out and he took long strides that made him trip over his own paws. "Hello, mister Silverhawk!" He squeaked, sitting down next to the deputy. "I came to see the rogue! She's kinda skinny, mister Silverhawk. Why?"

  • Sky nodded before turning her gaze down to the kit, she slid her tail over her paws in a feeble attempt to hid how much she was starving. "Because I just had the first meal I've had in four days." She whispered in embarrassment.

  • OOC;; Geez, you guys are speedy. I accidentally deleted the post I put before, so oops.

Silverhawk ponders for a moment, deciding on how to put is answer. "We don't torture cats, that is just plain cruel." The silver tabby flicks his tail, briefly glancing at the nursery. "But we do not kill unless needed to. We have a code. Part of it is that 'an honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his or her battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defence.' Meaning we won't kill unless we are forced to for self defence. Or-" The deputy gestures his tail towards Midnightkit, pointing briefly at the kit. "-To defend our clan, our warriors would defend our kits, elders, queens, and clanmates with their lives even." The tom-cat gazes back to Sky, his pale blue eyes soft. "We go by a warrior code, that binds us all together." He explains, while resting his tail once again over his paws. "It's what binds us all together as one,"

Silverhawk glances at Midnightkit, "Hello Midnightkit." He greets kindly, glad to see that the kit was fit and doing well. The deputy glances in amusement at black tom, "Don't be rude," he says the words softly, his tone more advisory then scolding. "Leafbare is close mind you." He tells the kit quietly, not wanting to offend Sky, he sends a apologetic look her way.

  • "It's fine.. Only my pride was damaged." She gave a scratchy purr at the kits curiousness. Sky looked down at her pitiful self. "The world was never kind, nor will it ever be."

    XD

  • Midnightkit shrugged. "Okay, mister Silverhawk," he said, looking up at the deputy with a little smile. "Sorry," he added towards Sky, still looking at her thin frame. "I wasn't trying to be rude. But... how come you were alone? How come Blackstripe had to bring you here? I don't get it. Mister Silverhawk, do you know why she was wandering around, alone? She could've come here. She could've slept with the warriors, like you and Blackstripe! Robinstar said that she was a... a rogue. What's that mean, mister Silverhawk? Is it bad?" The kit looked from Sky to Silverhawk, seeking an answer.

Blackstripe returned to camp, subconsciously looking around for Midnightkit. He saw the young tom with Silverhawk and Sky. The warrior sighed inwardly, chuckling to himself as he dropped the mouse on the fresh-kill pile. It was a bit pathetic, he thought, and decided he'd have to do some night hunting later. It would be cold, but at least he might be able to bring back a bit more for the clan. Deciding that Midnightkit was fine for now, and would find hi father when he wanted to take up the offer of play-time, Blackstripe retreated to a shadowy corner of camp and sat, watching the others. He liked the distance, being able to keep himself separate. It was just easier that way.

  • "I am in fact a rogue. Rogues don't live in large groups of cats like your clan. We live alone, some of us alone when were born, some when we reach a certain age. And I am thin because I was starving, I haven't eaten in four days." She explained softly.

  • The deputy nods in agreement to Sky's words, he flicks his tail in amusement, 'Was I like this when I was younger? Asking so many questions.' The tom-cat continues on what Sky was saying, "A rogue can be either good, or bad. It's more like; if they don't come within our borders, then they aren't a threat to our clan. But if they come into our borders and start stealing prey, then they are a threat." Silverhawk puts it in the simplest way possible, he says the words casually, so that he can deliver the message to Midnightkit, but not offend or make Sky threatened in any way.

Silverhawk then looks at Sky with his pale blue eyes, deciding to address her comment from earlier."Oh I won't be sure about the world forever being cruel. The world isn't unkind in its ways, but more of a challenge to the cats in it. While life can be hard and cruel,-" The silver tabby says this with a light tone, not wanting to scare the it beside him. "Here in our clan, life can give many rewards and great moments." The deputy gazes up at the sky briefly, thinking of Hawkpaw and Cloudfeather, before looking back at Sky. He smiles slightly,

Alright, since F I R E ! is busy, I'm just going to move on and come back to this when she returns from life xD

    IC:
Robinstar sighed -- clearly Sweetherb was busy with her duty as medicine cat; she might be out collecting herbs, or still asleep. Either way, she deserved a break. The tabby tom got up from in front of the medicine den wordlessly, his thick pelt fluffed.
Almost like he flew, the EverClan leader scrambled to the top of the Starstone again, taking a polite seat on the highest part of the smooth slab of rock, taking a bird's eye view over EverClan's well constructed, loyally protected camp. He spotted the new cat sitting in a corner with Silverhawk and Midnightkit to accompany her, Blackstipe dropping another well-caught piece of fresh-kill on the fresh-kill pile, and Sorrelbranch relaxing outside the nursery.
"Surely, StarClan has bless us," he whispered to himself.
He settled down on the top of the Starstone, laying on his flank, his tail twitching, as he continued to watch over his Clan. "May StarClan bless this leafbare; I don't want to loose anyone of our valuable Clan members, from the strongest warrior, to the smallest kit."

  • Sky only offered a smile, she couldn't tell him how life kicked her butt and sent her downwards on so many occasions. Her ear twitched, "Silverhawk is better with explaining." she laughed ever so lightly.

  • "The L-world tests you. You just have to figure out how to get through the obstacles." Spottedbreeze added kindly, almost having mentioned Light by accident. She didn't want to mess up again. "I'm Spottedbreeze. I'm sure you won't find much trouble here, Sky." She had turned around and taken a seat not too close to the other cats. "My father taught me that you just have to be thankful and reasonably hopeful for the day after to get better. Letting your past control your emotions does no good for anyone, especially yourself." She tried to put it in words that wouldn't discuss her prior religion in too much detail. Something ordinary suited her words better instead. "I know how you feel; I was a loner before I met this Clan."

  • "Oh," Midnightkit said. He thought for a moment or two, and then smiled broadly. "Well, see ya mister Silverhawk and miss Spottedbreeze. Bye... uh... miss rogue!" He blinked a few times at the she-cat, unsure of her name, and then bounced happily away towards the Starstone. He was well-aware of Blackstripe watching him like a hawk, but didn't care much. He never understood why his father was so watchful of him. He's kind of a sourpuss, too, Midnightkit thought. He giggled under his breath, not giving Blackstripe's usual bad attitude much thought; he had arrived at the Starstone. "Hey, mister!" He called up, as he had this morning. "How come you sit up there all the time?"

Blackstripe watched curiously as Midnightkit walked over to the Starstone in his usual bouncy gait. The tom laid down, tail waving in the air slightly as he perked his ear to tune into his son's conversation with Robinstar. It was nothing important at the time, just a silly question that could be expected of a kit, but Midnightkit had a tendency to pester or get rude. Not that he knew he was being rude, of course; it just tended to happen. And Blackstripe couldn't have his son offending the leader, although he knew Robinstar was patient when it came to kits and apprentices.

  • "I get that..." She mewed, "And I am thankful Blackstripes found me, I honestly thought I wasn't going to be able to walk over here. The world continues to surprise me." Sky purred. "I know Robinstar wanted me to wait until the medicine cats say-so. But when would I be able to start helping?"
