  • OOC;; Wait. I'm confused, is sky a rouge going to join Everclan and become Its medicine cat apprentice, or is she already the apprentice. Because in the last post she was in, she was in the forest...

    IC;;

Silverhawk blinks, slightly surprised at the sudden compliment. "Thank you Robinstar, I do my best." the tom dips his head in appreciation, smiling slightly, glad to hear that he was doing well. To be honest, there was timed in which he doubted Robinstar's decision to make him deputy. Though it was mostly because he was known to act first, and ask questions later. Though now being deputy has taught him to slow down and think. Silverhawk shakes his head a little, clearing his head. The silver tabby then turns and pads towards the enterance, he gazes at the two warriors, holding back a sigh when Goldensoul manages to shake off dirt onto Spottedbreeze. 'Oh she isn't going to like that.' He thinks, knowing full well that the she-cat hates her fur being dirty.

"Looks like we're ready to go." The deputy decides to not comment on what just happened, thinking it would be better to let them sort it out themselves. Silverhawk glances at Goldensoul with his pale blue eyes, "Lead on,"

Pride settling in his chest, Robinstar watched as camp started to come alive; warriors preparing for patrols, kits awakening and bustling about, Sweetherb moving about on the other end of the Starstone... the tabby tom felt proud to be among such worthy cats.
Another cold leaffall breeze blew in from the north, rustling the grass and weeds that grew around the camp. Robinstar fluffed out his fur, again reminded of the coming leafbare. Was he ready to lead the Clan through leafbare, with shortage of food and possible snowstorms? Fear pricked at Robinstar's spine as he worried. Shaking his head vigorously, he pushed the thought aside and focused on his role. I have a Clan to lead -- I can't let these bothersome possibilities get to my head.

  • Spottedbreeze sighed dramatically while gazing at what appeared to be ruined fur to her. Keeping her jaw shut tight, she looked for Goldensoul's sign to lead his role as patrol leader. The tom nodded to them both, ignoring the she-cat's annoyed expression as he turned to meet the East end of EverClan's border. Head East, end North, he told himself. His tail gave a short wave as he headed off in this direction, although not thinking about his quickening pace. He was already leaving Spottedbreeze far behind.

"Slow down!" she meowed hastily, watching as he flinched and stopped. She didn't want to sprint the whole way there and back or else he'd likely tire the other two cats out before they could get the chance to focus on a hunt. "I know you can run for a million tail-lengths but some of us can't." she sighed. He nodded in understanding, finding a happy-medium for the both of them. Turns out Spottedbreeze needed about a hundred heartbeats before she could settle in at a faster trot. She was gathering in scents and sounds a lot more than Goldensoul was, having taught to be much more alert after being a loner for so long. Nothing so far. Not like we're that near the border anyway. She told herself. I really hope there's not a rogue. I wish I could be somewhere where it won't remind me of my father. Flashbacks of her sickly father ruled her mind as she unconsciously followed Goldensoul. Her face didn't show that she was troubled, more of focused and serious.

  • She sat up, well, as much as she could. Her eyes darting around with a frown, her hetero colored eyes took in the landscape and her ears taking in the sounds. Sky bit her lip trying to make out where the voices were.

  • IC:

Blackstripe pricked one ear and lifted his nose to the air, sniffing for prey. He lowered himself to the ground and slunk along upon smelling a faint drift of mouse. As the scent got stronger, Blackstripe allowed his tail to drag along the ground, knowing he was downwind but just wanting to make sure the mouse was fully distracted. If it was searching for the scent of snake, it wouldn't even notice the scent of cat. Finally, it came into view, looking around, probably searching for the snake. Blackstripe pounced, trapped it beneath his paws, and delivered a quick nip to its neck. He looked around for a good place to bury it, one that would be easy to relocate.

    OOC:

Do you guys mind if Blackstripe finds the rogue?

  • OOC:

    Cool! :3

    IC:

Blackstripe walked for a while before coming to a large tree. He smelled cat, and it was strong. Fresh, too, but Blackstripe ignored it. There was a patrol that would find any rogues. The tom began to dig, but then heard the bushes rustle. His head shot up. He finished burying his mouse and carefully snaked his way around the trunk of the tree to find... a she-cat. He let out a yowl of surprise, jumping away from her. He never wanted to find any more rogues; the last time it happened, he fell in love, and she died. "Wh-who are you?" He meowed, eyes wide. "What are you doing here? This is EverClan territory!"

  • Sky screeched and slammed into the tree trunk. "D---it." she swore under her breath. She had guessed cats were near her, just not so close as to actually see her. "No.. This is rogue territory." she mewed, "And if it's not your markers need refreshing."

  • IC:

Blackstripe cursed under his breath. Indeed, he had crossed the border, but only barely. He lifted his nose again and looked backwards. The border was only a tail-length away. "Still," Blackstripe snarled, suddenly looking quite mean. "You're close enough to our borders that you could be considered a threat. And I'll -" he faltered. He'd what? He'd kill her? He couldn't do that. All he could do was bring her back to camp. "I'll have to take you back to our camp. Please, come without a fight." His voice took on a pleading tone towards the end, as if he were begging her not to make him hurt her.

  • "Fine.. Only becuase I know I'd lose." She muttered, the tom would probably kill her if they did squabble. Her ribs jutted out of her brown and white fur, Sky flattened her ear moving the tuft of fur away that covers her blue eye. The two different colored eyes trained on him, "What's your name?" she mewed, small talk seemed appropriate seeing as he must've been awkward for almost begging her not to fight. I bet he pities me. she guessed.

  • Silverhawk falls into a pace behind the two warriors, easily keeping up. The silver tabby tom pirks his ears at the faint sound of what could be... A screech maybe? The sound had been very distant, possibly at the northern border. "Keep an eye out when we get more close to the northern border," The deputy alerts the two other warriors, just in case they hadn't heard the sound. As the near the eastern border Silverhawk keeps his mouth open, checking for scents and places among the border that smell like it needs re-marking. He pauses at a fern bush, noticing that the marker was fainter, so he quickly marks it before continuing on and following the patrol.

The tom-cat couldn't help but for briefly feel like a warrior once again, free from the many responsibilities of deputy. 'As nice as it was being a warrior, I wouldn't give up being deputy for all the prey in the world.' Silverhawk smiles to himself, thinking of when he was a kit, on how him and Hawkpaw would constantly play leader and deputy. 'Though this is far from a game,' He reminds himself,

  • IC:

"Blackstripe. And yours?" The warrior responded, padding alongside her. She was painfully thin, with ribs and hip bones showing. He hoped Robinstar would show mercy; this she-cat seemed much to frail to be considered a threat, Blackstripe knew it, but it was his duty to bring her to his clan. He needed to take her back, for fear of her growing strong, or joining up with a rogue group. Then she would be a threat. And a threat to the clan meant a threat to Blackstripe's son. Midnightkit wasn't going to get hurt; not now and not ever.

  • "Sky..." She mewed after a hesitant moment, she couldn't help but side step away from him. Her neck fur bristling with silent fear. Great Starclan.. They are going to hold me against my will, just like those rumors! Sky thought with an uneasy glance towards the tom.

  • IC:

Blackstripe sighed as the she-cat stepped away from him. "I'm sorry," he murmured, almost as if he knew what she was thinking. She looked just like Midnight... the fear in her eyes... stop it! "I don't think they'll hurt you. Our leader is merciful. Please... Sky," he said her name slowly, testing it on his tongue, "I don't want to have to hurt you. I don't like to hurt anyone." He added the last part quietly, lowly, as an afterthought. He never talked this much, not even to his own clan-mates. Once, yes, he had been much more outgoing, but ever since Midnight passed, he was quiet. He didn't speak much, especially not to a rogue. Well, besides Midnight.

  • "Why would you have to hurt me? I don't attack unless someone honestly deserves it.. And even then I feel guilty." She murmured, biting her lip at the thought of the tom attacking her. She was built to run and jump around, not fight. Even now she couldn't run with such an empty stomach. Though she kept the same distance between them her shoulders sagged a bit after a moment of forcing herself to relax enough to her get neck fur down.

  • IC:

"I would have to hurt you if you ran. Just... nevermind." Blackstripe grumbled, staring at the ground as he walked. "We're nearing camp. Keep quiet when we get there. Let me do the talking. They trust me, I've been a member of EverClan since birth. But you... you're a trespasser. They might not listen to you. Understand?" He glanced up and saw her forcibly relaxing, but didn't say anything. That could've been Midnight, had Blackstripe taken her back to EverClan's camp. They might not have fallen in love if he had. But she might not have died, he thought. He had to tell himself to stop, before he broke down. This was why he hated rogues... they always reminded him of her... and he hated the pain that the thought of her brought.

  • The tom lead on for quite a while, however was paying too much attention to marking and staying a little bit ahead of the other two cats. He recalled the weird screeching sound and looked back to nod at the deputy. "Good catch." he commented, turning slightly as the went along the edge to begin the march toward the Northern border. "Nothing else out of the ordinary?" he tilted his head sideways at Spottedbreeze as he meowed. She simply shook her head. She had caught the noise too, however let Silverhawk say something about it. Her maw kept open for a while. Only older scents of prey caught her senses as she moved along.

Goldensoul stopped in his tracks, almost stepping out of the territory just to get a better whiff of the scent. "Rogue. Not recent, but I smell it." he demeanor changed suddenly, as if more urgent to carry on and finding this cat fast. They had kits and a queen, so this type of danger was to be terminated quickly. Okay, not necessarily like death or anything, but either they're in or they're out. Spottedbreeze checked the same spot, getting the same reaction but her shoulders were raised uncomfortably and her ears heated up slightly in fear. Goldensoul and Spottedbreeze began to track the smell down, wanting to know if they ever did actually reach their border enough to show that they wanted to cause trouble.

  • She nodded obediently as she slid in behind the tom through the entrance. Sky glanced around nervously, new fur spiking through her. Help! I don't belong here! They are going to kill me! Her mind screamed shuffling after him awkwardly.
