The room was dark and cold. Trembling spasms went though the lithe, fragile girl laying on the bed as she shivered violently. The room was, oddly enough, too cold. Ever had always been sensitive to the slightest twinge of cold, and right now, she was overwhelmed by it. She couldn't see from how dark the room was, but she had woken up here, in this bed, in this room, wondering where she was. Much of what had occurred before she had woken up here, she couldn't remember. And what she did remember was blurry. However, she did remember someone. A man. And that was it. A noise exploded through the cold, dark room, and at once, Ever Bloom gasped and jolted upright to a sitting position, staring around into the darkness, her knees drawn to her chest. "W-who's there?" she stammered. "W-what do you want with me?"

  • A deep purple glow came from the doorway. Two orbs hung at about the height of the average man, and when the lights flicked on it was a man. He had silvery hair and a strange marking on his neck. He was dressed formally in a white button up with jeans and a vest. A gold chain hung from his pocket, a pocket watch. "Hello, little one" he smiled. His name was the word of nightmares, Sabastion Malichi

  • A startled yelp rolled past the girl's lips as the lights flickered on, momentarily blinding her. Ever blinked for several heartbeats, until her eyes adjusted to the change in lighting, and locked on the only other person in the room. The silver-haired man. He seemed... familiar, as if she'd seen him before. She said nothing at first, only stared at him in a growing terror as she slowly came to the weak conclusion of who he was. The man she remembered very slightly. Could this man be him? The man responsible for her being in this strange place? "Who... who are you?" she asked, swallowing.

  • "You don't remember me? I'm hurt, I really am, love." He smiled and stuck his hands in his pockets. "I am Sabastion Malichi." He meet her eyes and sat down in a chair. "Do you remember me now?" He smiled brightly, but not kindly. His teethnic were unnaturally white.

  • Recognition struck Ever like a bolt of lightning. "You..." she whispered, green eyes stretched wide. "I remember... you told me your name, then you smiled... and..." the girl let her voice drift off into silence, realizing that was all she could recall. She held her gaze on Sabastion, not willing to take her eyes off him. "You'd better have a good reason for kidnapping me." The way his teeth looked, an odd, completely unnatural white, it made her rather nervous.

  • Sabastion smiled. "I do, love," he said and rested his hand on his knuckles, " I need you here" he said simply, with no more information. He looked her up and down, smiling evily.

  • Ever felt her heart plummet and her stomach twist. He... needed her here? She swallowed, terror overcoming her small, lithe figure. Her mind reeled and she couldn't think clearly. All she knew, was that she had to get away from this man. Heart pounding in her chest, she gave Sabastion one last, long look, feeling disgusted by that smile spread across his face, and she hurled herself off the bed, making a mad dash for the door that he'd entered the room from.

  • "she's fast. For a human" he thought as he was in front of her in the blink of an eye. "Where are you going, Ever?" He asked, faking consern. His purple eyes found hers, they gave off a faint glow that gave his pale face a ghostly look.

  • Ever yelped in surprise as she suddenly found the door blocked by Sabastion. The girl recoiled a couple of steps. The fact that he knew her name was unsettling, but what was even more so was how his eyes glowed. That was anything but natural. "I'm getting away from you!" she shouted, swallowing the panic that clawed its way up her throat. She couldn't understand how he was so fast, or why his eyes glowed. He looked... almost terrifying, and despite her wanting to run from him as he stood there, blocking the door, she remained where was, her green eyes showing fear, but never wavering from Sabastion's own purple orbs. "You can't keep me here!" she protested.

  • "I know I cant, and that's why your valuable, to not only me. But to others like me" he said. He saw her fear, smelled it, tasted it. He felt the hormones leaching from her skin, and the beat of her frantic heart. He grabbed her arm in his cold grasp "please just listen to me."

  • Ever gasped as her arm was seized, the ice coldness of Sabastion's grip causing her to shiver. He was freezing. She wanted to get away from him. But his grip wasn't allowing it, even as she tried to pull away. Then, like a dagger being pressed to her throat, his words cut right through her. "...Others like you?" she muttered, confused. "What do you mean by that? And why should I have to listen to you? You're a sick and twisted person!" And then she was struggling in his grip.

  • Hr shrugged and let her go, making her fall on her butt. "Yes. Others like me. Others who see inoccent girls, like you, as a threat" he sais, still blocking the door. His eyes rolled and he lened back on the door. "You can go out, if you promise not to run."

  • Ever winced as she hit the floor, and for a split moment she glared up at him for making her land on her rear end. She got up quickly, however, and all of the emotions she had been feeling before returned. "Threat? How are girls, like me, threats to you and these people that, although I still have no idea what you mean, are the same as you? I've never done anything to you or these people," she said. A forlorn look crossed her face upon the mention that she could go out, but only if she didn't run. "And if I run? What will you do?" she asked.

  • "If you run, I'll be forced to chase you down and put you back in here." He said, now used to her glare. "And I'll tell you about those like me on our walk." He knew she despised him, and he didn't blame her. He was a monster, and she knew it. Subconsciously.

  • Ever lowered her head with a sigh. This room was cold, and she didn't like the idea of being forced to stay in here if she ran. And from how fast she'd learned Sabastion was, she knew he could and would outrun her. "Fine," she said, raising her head to meet his gaze again. "I won't run. Now, please, just let me out of here. I'm freezing." She rubbed her cold arms, no longer glaring at him like she had been moments before. But the look she now gave him wasn't very trusting, either. She wasn't going to trust him, but she would try to listen to him on their 'walk', even though the way those like him sounded, made her uncomfortable for reasons she didn't know.

  • He smiled and let her out. The halls were bustling with maids and butlers. Lords and ladies. The women would curtsey to him and the Lord's bowed. A tall man with black hair gave Ever a red jacket. It might be freezing to her, but it was perfect for them

  • Ever stepped out of the room and couldn't help but to suppress a slight twinge of amazement at all of the people traveling up and down the halls. As the tall man with black hair gave her a red jacket, she hesitantly took it, before huddling gratefully into it. She smiled her thanks, then turned to look at Sabastion. The smile was gone. "If you want to talk and let me in on what you meant by 'others like you' now would be a good time to do it," she said, starting to walk down the hallway, looking around in something like wonder and huddling further into the warm jacket as she did so. Granted, she had been kidnapped and brought here, but this place was pretty breathtaking.

  • "Thank you, Gabriel. " he nodded to the man. "Your welcome, my lord." He said and left. "People like me means blood suckers. Vampirez, but not as you humans put us. We're not evil. We're not man killers. We are people born with a curse."

  • Ever looked at him, an expression crossed between shock and disbelief written on her face. "Vampires? You're telling me... that you and the 'others like you' are vampires? The creatures of the Night? Of legend and myth?" she questioned. Although it would explain Sabastion's eyes glowing and his speed, it was no doubt crazy. "You expect me to just... believe that? You're insane. Vampires aren't real. You're just trying to scare me like the sick person you are."

  • "I can provide proof. I can't be killed, I ha e fangs, I'm faster than a bullet, I can smell your fear and hear you heart beat." He said and opened his mouth, exposing the sharp canines. He was saddened by the truth, ashamed, but she needed to know.
