  • Blaze was in his owner's backyard, on the fence. He felt bored, just lying there, flicking his tail. "Ugh... I'm so bored of just laying here, doing nothing!" He yowled in frustration. He got up, stretching one leg. Then, he hopped off of the fence. He jerked his head over to the forest, thinking. I wonder how it's like there... being all free and such. He thought.

  • "You have food?"

A raspy voice could be heard in the distance, a tall, skinny Sphinx stalked out under the ferns he was in. Rio tilted his head to the kittypet. "Rio very hungry and starving, Rio have food?" He asked.

  • Blaze looked at the Sphinx. "Um.. I believe so. Here, follow me." He replied, as he turned around, padding back into the Two leg's nest.

  • Rio licked his lips and followed, he didn't care if the food was dry and crunchy.. Or mushy "Rio want to know kittypet's name, name?" He asked. What food today? He wondered.

  • "Strange.." A voice meowed quietly from an eves-trough, neighboring the tom kittypet's home. Laying in the dry metal gutter, a small Russian Blue sunned herself, heat radiating from the shingles of the twoleg nest. Blue eyes blinking slow, the she-cat stretched out. Indeed she thought the sphinx's way of talking was strange, but furthermore, she had never seen such a cat. One without fur? How would it stay warm in the snowtime? Un-burned in the hottime?

Watching the two as they padded into the kittypet's home, Spark leaned over the edge of the eaves, the metal squeaking slightly. Food? Her stomach grumbled slightly, but the Russian blue had food of her own back in her High-Twoleg Nest. It was probably best not to take what she didn't need.
Hanging a hind leg off the side of the roof, the kittypet gazed around. The backyard was simple, though had a few neat looking plants. One she noted, was a burningbush.

  • "Oh, my name is Blaze. And I can tell yours is Rio." Blaze meowed.

  • Rio nodded. "Rio thinks Blaze is smart." He rasped. Rio lifted his head and sniffed, he smelled another cat. "Rio smell another cat. Where?" He said aloud.

  • Spark's two-toned eyes darted to a feeder, where a swarm of goldfinches pecked at a handing seed sock, with some type of black niger. Grey whiskers curling out curiously, the Russian Blue slouched down in the eaves-trough, fuzzy tail swishing back and forth behind her.
'Gold-bird was always a favorite among the others.' she thought with a purr, perhaps one would make a nice welcome gift to the kittypet and hairless cat in the twoleg nest.

Getting up from her crouched position, Spark climbed out of the eaves and onto the shingles. Quietly she stalked along the rooftop, nearing the hungry finches.

  • Blaze looked around. "Another cat?" He asked, curiously. He wondered if it was one of Rio's friends.

  • Rio nodded. "Rio smells another cat nearby." He looked around and spotted Spark. "Cat! Rio wants to know your name."

  • Blaze turned his head to Rio, then looked at Spark. "Hey!" He yowled to Spark. "Over here!"

  • Spark wriggled her rear as she was about to pounce on an unsuspecting goldfinch, and as soon as she released the tension in her hind legs, a yowl.

Toppling onto a spruce tree below the eaves, the Russian blue spat out a couple of the strange needle-like leaves. Careful not to fall again, the she-cat lowered herself slowly to ground level, then dropped the tail-length to the grass. Two-toned eyes glanced in the direction of the yowl, and she smiled, seeing the toms had come back outside.
"Hello," She meowed, lifting a hind leg and scratching one of her ears, "Was just trying to catch a goldfinch or two."

  • "Ahh. Anyway, my name is Blaze." Blaze meowed. Then he looked over to Rio. He would first let Rio introduce himself before Blaze can say anything else.

  • Rio shifted his head forward. "Rio wants to know name!" He repeated to the strange kittypet. He was hungry, but he wanted to know if that strange cat was going to interfere with his eating.

  • "Hello Rio and Blaze," Spark mewed, swishing her tail in a waving motion, "My name is Spark." As she shook some extra spruce leaflets from her pelt, the young Russian blue stepped towards them- they had seemed friendly enough. The hairless Rio seemed a bit thin, maybe he hadn't eaten enough of Blaze's kittypet chow, or none at all for that matter.
"Sorry if I'm interupting.. You said you were hungry so I was going to catch you both a gold-bird.. or at least try to." With the last part, the blue furred she-cat smiled sheepishly.

  • "Oh, I'm not hungry. Rio is. I was just about to show him in the nest so he can eat. But thanks, though!" Blaze meowed.

  • "Rio is grateful for Spark's try." Rio nodded, he still wanted his lunch. "Where is Blaze food?" Rio asked Blaze.

  • "Oh. Right this way." Blaze replied, starting to pad to the house.

  • "Well, sometimes my owner gives me a lot of fish. Also, whenever my owner leaves something, I'd eat it." Blaze replied, as he entered through the mini door.
