Accidental mother? {Leopardkit-Privite}

    "Oh, just been hunting." Thunderlilly purred.

    "yes!" Thunderlilly closed her eyes and smiled. "I am. Now let's get you some food."

    Thunderlilly lead Leopardkit to the fresh-kill pile. She chose a plump mouse for herself and watched to see what the small kit would get. "So, leopardkit," She mewed casually taking a bite out of her mouse. "Do you have any idea how old you are?"

    "Umm" Leopardkit mewed, then she chose a small mouse, she wasn't all that hungry. "Old enough to be on my own alittle" she finally said, because it was ture, she had been on her own for a few days when her mom left her.

    Thunderlilly nodded as it were normal. "So I'd say about 3 and a half moons old or close to that."

    "Maybe" Leopardkit mewed, then took a small, kit sized bite out of the mouse. After she chwed her food she looked up at Thunderlilly. "Thank you for saving me" the pale leopard-like kit mewoed to Thunderlilly.

    Thunderlilly almost choked on her mouse. "Saving you? I didn't save you." She raised her eyebrow, not getting what Leopardkit was saying. The orange tabby blinked curious at how small kits minds worked.

    Leopardkit thought for a moment before replying "You saved me because if you left me in the woods an animal kit a fox or badger could get me" Leopardkit shut her mouth then, hoping Thunderlilly would ask why a kit would know of Foxes and Badgers.

    Thunderlilly stared curiously at the kit. "How do you know what those are? Surely you've never seen one." Her ear twitched waiting for a reply. Maybe there was more to this kit than meets the eye.

    "Um" Leopardkit hesitated, she had to make up a lie, fast! "Mommy told stories about them!" she blut out. Leopardkit felt relived, the lie came easily enough, she just hoped that Thunderlilly didn't notice her hesitation.

    Thunderlilly raised her eyebrow. "Uh-huh? And I guess hedgehogs can fly too?"

    "I ain't never seen one. That don't mean they can't." Thunderliily laughed then pressed on. "So how do you really know about all that stuff?"

    "My mommy" Leopardkit said, telling half the truth. She sighed then mutterd "my daddy too" not telling the story behind it.

    Thunderlilly was really cunfused now. "What are you talking about?"

    "Mommy, dad, foxes and badgers. Leopardkit stated the topic that they were talking about, still trying to play mouse-brained.

    "There's more. Don't hold out chica. I want judge." Thunderlilly still had no idea what this was about but, that didn't stop her from pretending.

    Leopard sighed, there's no point of lying. "When I was little, and just opened my eyes it was leaf-bare" she started "Me, Mommy, and Daddy were huddling together because freezing white things had begun to fall" her red grew wide as she pictured the scene perfectly. "First Daddy started freaking out, and shoved me and mommy back, then I smelt it. It was a sharp smell that clung to my nose." she explained to Thunderlilly "Then a bone skinny furry dog-like thing shoved it's head into our den" she shivered "Daddy clawed it, and bit at it." He fought it away from us, keeping us safe" Leopardkit starred at Thunderlilly "Then there was silence, no birds were singing, no little crinkling sound of leaves in the breeze" the pale bengals breath quickened "Mom went out of the den first, she told me to stay, and she left" Leopardkit shivered again "When she came back she was whispering, it was horrible, she was talking about history repeating. I heard her mutter badgers. Then when I asked were daddy was she looked at me and said 'He's dead, the fox killed him" The kit finnished her story, and took a deep breath.
