  • May laughed to herself, how random. She had to take her Medicine too, but she wasn't ready to leave the room yet. Her earlier break down was über embarrassing. She internally thanked Dixon for making her feel safer, pathetic.

  • He swallowed his medicine quickly and headed up to his room. It was still dawn. He'd rather sleep until lights-out to sneak to the garden, as he had planned. Dixon knew of a small hole in the fence underneath the bushed where they could flee to the outskirts of town. He didn't plan on staying here, and nor did he want May to suffer as well. He was leaving, and determined to take May with him, he'd smile and finally see the world again, as he'd known as a child.

  • May slipped back into her bed, drowsy from her screaming. What time did Dixon want to meet her? Who knew... did he tell her? Had she forgotten. Oh well, intuition may guide her. She slipped into a welcomed slumber.

  • Upon his awaking, the dark haired boy (as he would call himself) looked out of the small opening that allowed view of the garden in the wall. It was midnight, and he was ready. Realizing May hadn't shut her door and neither had the guards, he slipped inside of her dorm unnoticed. He stood for a few moments, staring at her soft face as she slept, which reminded him of a flower. Dixon didn't want to disrupt her slumber, but it was time. He tapped her shoulder softly.

  • May awoke with a start, her eye lids flew open and she grabbed her pillow. After her miniature panic attack she realised ot was only Dixon looming over her. Her caramel colored eyes drifted to Rose, was she awake? May sat up and waited for Dixon to give off some hint as to what was going on, waiting for him to lead.

  • "Come on," he whispered, "I have something to show you." his Aussie accent was enlightened with adventure and eagerness. He took her hand, leading her down the hall and out to the garden unnoticed by any guards. He moved a bush limb, thick with lush green leaves, that let her see the hole he was so excited about. The hole in the fence. The hole to freedom.

  • May bit her lip to suppress a gasp. A conflicting turmoil of fear and hope spread through her. Change? Oh how she hated it, purely terrifying. But freedom was within her shaky grasp. Unsurity came off of her in waves and she squeezed Dixon's hand. What would happen If she left? She couldn't go home- wherever that was. This place may be far from comfortable budget it was safe. It had a set schedule and she knew that was certain. But, this place was sad, this place could trap her and she would never be able to feel again. This place could kill her from the inside out, like a poison. "What do you think?" She asked her companion, maybe he could shed some light.

  • "We could run away together. All it takes is a few steps into that hole. I remember having my own bank account when I was 13. I put all of my parents' money in it, protected so they couldn't get into it." he suggested, so eager to go, but hearing footsteps nearby. There wasn't much time.

  • May instinctively chewed her lip, this was reckless, crazy, everything that building numbed her from. Excitement coarsed through her cold veins, she nodded and stepped closer to this charming guy that had went from a familiar stranger to her only friend. Shut would have to thank him for that, too.

  • He, with a rebellious smile, darted under the bushes and into the hole, helping her outside. The guards walking around the outside had nearly seem him already. Hi kept down low behind a tree near the opening.

  • As soon as the guards had left his sight, he led her quickly towards the woods a few yards away. He heard something being muttered under another officers' breath as they passed safely. His smile grew wider. "Come on, we'll take the subway and go to a new state, a new beginning." he offered, shakily.

OOC: How about we make a separate thread for May & Dixon, & whoever else would like to join their adventures since its out of the center?

  • The night felt cold, she had been too preoccupied to eat the past couple days and anemia made her shiver. May stayed close tp Dixon for safety and warmth. She nodded 'yes' briskly, clamping her jaw shut to keep it from chattering with her shaking body. Anxiety played a part In that. She wondered if anyone else would follow their lead and escape.

    Ooc: good idea.
