    "Right. Try to be quiet while we track down a mouse - wouldn't want to go blundering around through the undergrowth and scare it off before we even see it, would we?"
    With that, he lifted his long snout, parting his jaws slightly and sifting through the earthy, fresh scents of the forest that were carried on a crisp, lethargic breeze. After a mere few heartbeats, he caught a whiff of mouse, and slunk into the ferns in the direction of the scent, snapping his stringy tail at Lore in a wordless command to follow.
    Leading the way, they finally arrived at a small hollow, at the near edge of which the tiny, sandy-furred mouse was sitting up, nibbling busily at a seed or small nut of some sort. Quite luckily, the wind happened to be drifting in the predators' direction, meaning that their scent would not alert the rodent. Glancing back at the wolf pup, he jerked his head in its direction before melting back into the shadows, getting out of the way so that he could observe Lore's hunt without being seen.
