Matthew visibly blushed, cheeks dark. "I-um-thanks." He thanked timidly. Having English as a second language had left him slightly with a bit of a French accent, plus struggling with certain sounds that usually led to the pronunciation of words like 'aboot'. He got comfortable with Gilbert, breathing in the scent of his boyfriend that reminded him strongly of rain, with a faint hint of cologne.

"Good." Matthew replied with a soft yawn. "I've made up for my lack of sleep with 3 whole hours of sleep...I could rule the world with this kind of energy." He commented with a chuckle. Matthew did often have bags under his eyes. Honestly, if he got 5 hours or more of sleep, it was a miracle. He hadn't had over 5 hours of sleep in maybe 3 months, when he got a whole 7 once.

Matthew gave a weak little nod. While he managed through the lack of sleep, it definitely was having an effect on the male. He had a hard time focusing, and was often so tired that it left him weak, hardly able to even lift his backpack or open a jar, or other simple tasks like that. His actions always seemed dazed and tired, as did his words. Heavy bags hung under his eyes, only accenting it all. Sometimes, everything in consideration, it seemed obvious that Matthew needed to take better care of himself, that he was slowly falling apart at the seams.
