IC:[color=white] Smokeleaf hared after the rabbit, streaking across the marshlands like a WindClan cat. It was rare of her to go for land prey, but the rabbit had been too tempting, and rabbits were rare for RiverClan.
I will catch this!, she thought, as her lungs screamed for air, I will!
The RiverClan cat barely noticed crossing the twoleg bridge and passing Fourtrees, her full attention was focused on the rabbit.
With a final burst of speed, the smokey tortoiseshell flung herself at her prey, landing on it and stunning it. With a quick bite, she ended it's life. She lay on the grass for a moment, heaving for air.
Once she was breathing normally again, she got to her paws. Feeling exceptionally proud of herself, she grabbed the rabbit in her jaws and looked around to see where the chase had taken her.
Grassy moorland stretched out on all sides and the wind buffeted her fur and body, bringing with it the scent of the WindClan scentline from many, many fox lengths away.
Damn... she thought. She ended up all the way in the heart of WindClan territory. To make matters worse, she had a dead rabbit in her jaws.
Got to go! Got to go!
She began to run for the border, staying low to the ground. The rabbit dragged and made her trip up.
StarClan, please don't let them catch me!
