Moontail let out a soft sigh, the wind tugged at his gentle grey and white splotched fur. Tonight was moderately windy, causing clouds to roll out and block out most of the moons shape. The light from the moon caused the front of the clouds to look ominous up in the night sky, he narrowed his eyes at this.

He didn't really appreciate this at all, it was his job to look up to see the moon every-night. He made an oath he would, to remind him of his litter-mate; who'd died in the night of green-cough a little while back. His tail twitched lightly as he looked down at his white tipped paws.

  • Fragilespark padded forward moving quietly through the moonlight. She had been traveling for a long time, so much in fact she was leaving bloodily footprints wherever she went. She finally couldn't take it, so the young silver queen plopped onto the grass quickly washing the blood off her pads in a few swift licks. She then stood up against wincing as she slowly limped on.

She could have sworn she saw someone in the distance. She though maybe he was standing guard, but no as she got closer he saw he was just looking up at the moon. She shrugged and contuied her footsteps loudly and clumsy making her let out a string of curses as she kept walking.

  • His ear's perked up at the sounds, causing him to blink in surprise as he quickly whipped his head to the side. He saw the silver she-cat trying to walk away from the area he was in, turning his body around fully he watched her for a moment before letting out a soft chuckle at her clumsiness. "You alright there?" Moontail called out to her, his whiskers twitching in amusement.

  • She turned her face to look at the tom obviously not sharing his amusement. She toke a deep breath trying not lose her temper. "I've been worse." She mewed and sat down again seeing as her paws had started to bleed yet again. She quickly licked her paws again before turning her eyes and looked at him her expression mixed with both curiousity and a bit of irrtation.

  • He tilted his head lightly as his gaze moved down to her paw pads, "Walking around much..? Look's painful.." He mumbled slowly as he tried to approach her. He stopped after she was around two tail-lengths away from him, sitting down he raised his paw licking it and rubbing it over his head. After doing so he lowered his paw back down to the ground, waiting for her response.

  • She nodded letting out a deep sigh. She defiantly would rather not discuss why she was traveling. "Yeah I've been traveling for three days straight." She explained as she placed her paw back on the ground. "Yeah painful enough." She mewed and she lifted up her paw again looking down at the swollen and torn pad. She probably should have rested more, but she really couldn't.

  • "Why are you out travelling? You escaping something or..." He began but trailed off toward's the end, his eyes narrowing lightly but then he shook his head lightly. "Probably shouldn't be asking." He mumbled out to himself quietly.

  • She slowly set her paw down slowly. "I have my own reasons, but to answer you question I was trying to get away from something." She said vaguely. At least he had figured out on his own it was probably none of his business. "So, why were you looking up at the moon?" She asked curiously obviously wanting to change the subject.

  • Moontail tensed for a moment, "Ah... Well, it's to remind me of my litter-mate." He mumbled averting his gaze for a moment, his ear's slightly lowering as he mentioned the word litter-mate; his face also looked down toward's the ground.

  • She didn't bother to ask why simply looking up at the moon for herself. "It is a pretty nice view." She mewed flicking her ears back. The silver she-cat looked at the stars connecting a few stars into consolations her mother had taught her she looked back at him. "It's worth taking a minute to look at." She commented shrugging a bit.

  • He nodded his head in agreement, "Mhm, the way the moon shines into water is also very pretty.." He replied turning his view back towards the moon. To which the cloud's had gradually moved away from view leaving the shine of the moon to reflect off of the grass down below.

  • She nodded in agreement as she slowly padded towards the edge of the water still pretty clumsy on her paws as she scrambled to the edge of the water she bent her head lapping some of the water up as she slowly raised her head and stepped into the water letting the water sooth her throbbing paws. "Who are you by the way?" She asked curiously.

  • "Fragilespark." She mewed shortly water dripping from her muzzle as she slowly stepped out of the water. She looked around the area looking for a quick shelter she could rest in for the night. Now that she had stopped traveling for now she doubted she could walk much more tonight so she needed to find a place to stay.

  • "Nice to meet you as well. I'm looking for somewhere to take shelter I don't think I can travel much further tonight." She explained as she suddenly have a loud yawn shaking her pelt of water droplets.

  • She blinked a bit suprised by this stranger's kind offer. She nodded briefly. "I think I'll have to take you up on your offer." She said as she flicked her tail wondering if the tree would be a problem because of her sore pads.

  • He let out a soft sigh, "Good, because it seems like you need a good rest." He flicked his tail towards the direction of his nest. "Well we can go now if your really tired."

  • She nodded in agreement. Normally she may reject this kind of help. "Yeah I am pretty tired." She admited yawning loudly again as she stretched looking in the direction he had pointed tilting her head.
