Newspaper (a Summary):
Letter From the Editor:
To all students and staff here at Ghandi High School. I regret to say that our principal has decided to stop school funding into this paper. Thankfully, while many of our school's clubs have been shut down by the principal, he has allowed our paper to continue if we can raise the money needed. As a resul of the principle's decision, lack of funding forces us to go from three newspapers a week to a weekly paper. Also, we have lost many of our paper staff due to the principal's new sports clubs. Because of this, our paper is open to have some new members. If your interested, please contact me here at Gandhi High. Thanks you for all of your support and, despite the recent tragedies, I see a bright future for the paper and for this school. - Jace Cary (Chief Editor for the Gandhi High Newspaper.)

Newspaper Teams (and what each team does):
1. Journalists: They write the stories and articles for the newspaper. They find the best ideas for the topic chosen by the Editorial team and spend a lot of time interviewing people.
2. Photographers: Also known as Photo-Journalists, the Photographers hunt down the best pictures for the paper and the stories the Journalists write. They spend most of their time with their cameras editing and taking the very best photos.
3. Editors: The team of editors usually determine the main and central topic(s), if there are any, of the paper. They chose what stories go in and which ones do not. They also do spelling and punctuation checks on the stories going in and mark them for the Journalists to fix. When they are done they turn it into Team 4, the compilers.
4. Compilers: Taking all of the work and putting it together nicely is a long and tedious job. That is why there is a team of compilers. They take all the photos, stories, reviews and other things going into the paper and determine where it goes and on what page. They determine the order in the paper of all approved articles, stories, photos, etc. in the paper.
Note: the Chief Editor and Asst. Chief Editor don't fit into any specific team. They do the work of all teams as well as raising the funds for the paper. the Chief MUST approve the paper before it is mass printed for the school.
Jace Cary walked into the room given by the school for the newspaper. He sighed as he sat at his desk. He took out his calculator and began doing the Newspaper's budget. Luckily, they had just enough money from sponsors to produce a weekly paper. However, if one of them stopped supporting them, he would be forced to do only two papers a month. That wasn't his main difficulty, though. He would have tow work twice as hard as a result of a loss of workers. he knew he couldn't do a weekly paper for long unless more students joined the paper.
