  • Aimi kicked the gun from his hand and shot the man and the girl, the bullet grazed her shoulder but she ignored the pain, wanting to get the job done.

Kana climbed over the pile of boxes and joined Aimi. "Are you alright?" she said looking at Aimi's shoulder. She glanced at the man and the girl both knocked out. The drones would take it from here and clean up.

The injury didn't look too bad considering it could've been worse. "Yeah, it's just your predecessor was killed by a gun shot," she said. "Never mind though. Lets go and get your injury taken care of." She could already hear the drones coming down the tunnel.

"That's not really your call to make," Kana said. "Look I'm really short on Enforcers right now. I can't afford to risk you." She unlocked the car and got in.

  • "Yeah, well I can always request to get switched again" Aimi mumbled and got in, shutting the door behind her. She leaned back and closed her eyes, putting her hand on the wound and sighed.

Kana started the car. Enforcers didn't have many rights and Kana could over ride any requests since she owned the enforcers under her. "What is wrong?" she asked. She hadn't known Aimi terribly long but still the enforcer seemed more irritable than normal.

Kana sighed she wasn't going to get anywhere at this rate. "Alright," she said as she pulled out onto the street. "This afternoon I'd like you to come with me. I need another enforcer. Sibyl has listed three possible latent criminals that would do well. I know your off duty by then but I'd like your opinion on which one I should make the offer to."

"Another because Kenji isn't coming back," Kana said. Kenji was her other enforcer besides Aimi or well had been. He'd been badly injured and deemed too unstable to resume his position as an enforcer. "I'll be leaving at 3," she said pulling into the garage at HQ. It wasn't really customary for her to bring an enforcer with her for this but enforcers knew their own kind and Aimi would be a good judge. "Get your arm looked at. Your still on duty for a while so that's an order," she said.

  • Aimi got out and shut the door, she rolled her eyes "It doesn't need to be looked at" she told her before walking down the hallway to get something to eat, since she hadn't eaten all day. She turned to look at Kana "Who's the new addition to our lovely little team?" she asked

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px #ffffff; width: 500px;]

Kana followed her. "Aimi that wasn't a request. That was an order," she said moving to block Aimi from going further. "Your still on duty for another half hour. Until then you have to do what I say." She couldn't have insubordination, if Aimi wouldn't listen to her here then how could she trust her out in the field to do what she was told.

"I haven't decided on who will be the new addition yet," she said. Sibyl had given her three options of those who were potential candidates. She had read their files but beyond that she didn't know them at all. She intended to meet with them before deciding on who to pick.

  • Aimi frowned "Sounds like you've got work to do then 'master'" she growled, she felt as an enforcer ironically enough that she was just some dog to them. She attempted to push by Kana "I don't care if I'm still on duty, I have been all morning and I'm starving" she told her "Not everyone gets a fancy normal life like you Kana"

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px #ffffff; width: 500px;]

Kana allowed Aimi to pass her and pulled out her Dominator she hadn't returned it to the holder after the case. "You don't have a choice," she said. Aimi had refused her order twice now. "I won't tolerate you disobeying me." "Target is a registered enforcer, enforce at will, trigger is now unlocked," the dominator said to her then she pulled the trigger. She didn't like making a habit of shooting her enforcers and tried to avoid it when she could but she couldn't allow Aimi to disobey.

  • Aimi frowned and turned to the side so where she got grazed earlier would be shot "Happy now?" she asked, keeping her straight face even though it hurt "Can I go eat now? Or are you gonna starve me like I'm some dog?" she demanded

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px #ffffff; width: 500px;]

Of course Aimi would've realized what she'd do. What made enforcers so valuable in hunting criminals could work against her just as easily. "Alright fine," she said. "Go." She didn't like to think of enforcers as just dogs or tools but after loosing one she'd grown colder towards them. She didn't want to let herself get close and call them friends any more, it hurt to much to loose them then.

  • Aimi walked past her into the cafeteria, she got herself something to eat before sitting alone at a table in the corner, sighing she started eating. She started wondering what it be like to live normally again, although no matter how times her Psycho-Pass actually got down to the right amount they still never let her leave. Her attention then turned to what Kana said earlier If she's going to already have an enforcer there then why did she ask me to go? She knows I'm off duty she thought as she ate.

Kana had gone back to the office and pulled up the files on the three candidates for a new enforcer. She'd already read them over multiple times but she needed to get her mind of Aimi. She was tired of Aimi questioning or defying her orders.

By the time 3 o'clock came Kana still wasn't sure who she'd ask to be an enforcer. She wanted to meet them first. She could only learn so much from just text about a person. She glanced at her watch it was a minute past the hour. She stood up and turned off her computer but took her tablet so she could look up the files while she was there. She'd hoped Aimi would show up but it didn't seem like she was going to. Despite Aimi's stubbornness she was a good Enforcer and Kana had learned to trust Aimi's instinct.
