Conversations go unheld with Cecily. She is practically silent, unless she has something important to say or she is intoxicated. "Hello," "Goodbye," and "How are you," are a few of these unimportant things. When she finds her input needed, she will usually say something ambiguous or a morbid metaphor. In the case that she is intoxicated, she is quite loud and rambunctious. This is the only time she is anything but creepy.
Cecily seems to like being in-between "cute and quiet" and "psychotic." A very large line, but a line indeed. Morbidity is something she pulls off quite well, but beside that, she is simple, not liking too many things or having too many talents (when it comes to manipulating water, however, she's almost an expert). She is mediocre at many things, but never felt as though she really fit in. And maybe she truly enjoys being mysterious, but who could know? She'd never tell anyone, anyway.

Julian never speaks beneath his breath, or utters any profanity. He's 20 years of clean. He's 20 years of crossed arms and holding doors open. He's 20 years of never truly hating anyone of anything. And he doesn't mind it, truly. He finds there no reason to be rude or disrespectful in any case at all, so he isn't. That's all there is to it. He could charm anyone off their feet in under 20 seconds. He's so sociable that whenever someone finishes a conversation with him, they seem to utter, "What a fine gentleman," but he never speaks when he isn't welcome. And he never frowns when someone else is happy.
He puts so many barriers on himself that he isn't living for himself anymore, he's living for the people around him. He's living so that they can feed off his happiness and continue to be a better person because [i]he exists. Julian knows this and how greedy it sounds, but truly, he doesn't give a damn.
