    Mia gasped for breath, whimpering. "I th-th-think I'm dyiiing!"she wailed, sobbing. She shivered and cried even harder. "Mommy, help me! It hurts, it hurts!"

    Mandy hugged her daughter and kissed her on the head. "Hold on, I'll call an ambulance. I'll be right back, sweetie, I promise." She got up and raced down stairs for her cellphone.

    "Mark! Mark!"she yelled, convulsing as she felt herself start to Change once more. Max appeared in the doorway, sneering, eyes glowing.

    Mandy had called the ambulance, and now she rushed upstairs again to find Max in the doorway, his back to her. "Out of my way!" she demanded, slapping at him.

    Max grunted as he was pushed into the doorframe. He pulled his lips back into a snarl in warning, a glare sharpening his features. Mia squirmed in pain, whining as her nails curled into claws.

    Mandy rushed in, holding Mia tightly. "I'm here, honey, I'm here. The ambulance will be around any moment now. Just hold on, you'll be okay." She kissed Mia on the forehead, then checked her temperature.

    I retched, then dry heaved over the side of my bed. I was so hot so hot burning burning to the ceiling. I felt like I was gonna burst into flames one moment, and then, my human thoughts slipped away and I finally Changed.

    Mandy stepped back, horrified as she saw Mia transform. She turned on Max angrily. "How dare you!" She commanded. "How could you do this to that poor girl! Your own sister."

    "Calm down, b*tch! She'll get used to it. Besides, I've created a new breed of my kind. You should be proud!"Max gloated. the wolf whimpered and darted off the bed, lunging for Max. The boy smoothly took her down in one motion and pinned her to the floor.

    Mandy gasped as Max called her a b*tch. "How dare you! I'm your mother," she said, aghast. When Max pinned down Mia, Mandy screamed at him. "Let her go, Max. You let her go right this instant!"

    max glared at her. "do you want her attacking everyone? then stop. kay? let me handle this."he snapped, hauling mia up and slinging her over his shoulder. she was limp, understanding he was in charge now.

    max turned, flipping her off before darting out of the room, and out of the house. "Hurry, Mia. you have to go. now."he grunted as he set her down.

    at that moment, mia bolted back inside the house, becoming human. she quickly hit the button on her phone that would call 911 and once that happened, max ran. he disappeared out into the wintry darkness.
