  • Hallo!

Damian was sitting near the place jay had shown him with all the berries. His wings were settled comfortably on his back as he sat in the tree leaning against the think trunk. Blue eyes gazed out into the forest and the unknown land wondering what was out there and waiting for them? The thought made him shiver and he quickly thought of something else.

  • Jay stepped forwards quietly, feet soft and gentle against the carpet of pine needles that blanketed the forest floor. In the past weeks, his blonde hair had grown shaggy, draping down into his eyes (much to his annoyance). I'll need to see about getting it cut, eventually. As he approached the spot where he knew Damian would be, he hummed softly, alerting the occasionally jumpy boy to his presence.

  • Damian looked around as he heard the hum and spotted jay. He flew down to meet him and was tempted to laugh at the other's hair but instead kept his normal expressionless look as he greeted Jay.

  • Jay smiled widely at Damian, flicking his long bangs out of his eyes. "Hey there Damian. Been flittin around?" Jay teased gently. The two boys had been on their own since their rival group had obliterated most of their group. The two had refused to submit and had fled, deeper into the forest than they had ever been. This was the closest the two had been to their old camp in weeks, and the little berry patch really was a sight for sore eyes.

  • Damian rolled his eyes, but gave a little smile. "Just sitting in the tree. I'm still afraid that those fiends are around" he said softly his eyes flickering as tears threatened to well up as he thought of the deaths in his group. Watching the children die... He crossed his arms and tightly gripped them together. "I don't want the same to happen to you" he finished quietly.

  • "Nothin's gonna happen to either of us,okay?" Jay said, swallowing hard. "If the fiends are around, well... we can run. We did before."

  • Jay folded the other boy into his arms, resting his head on top of Damian's. "I don't want to lose you either... but we can make it, I promise."

  • Jay scanned the trees alertly, his scale-flecked skin shimmering in the fading light. "We should probably find shelter for the night," he suggested, once again flicking his shaggy hair out of his eyes. "We probably don't want to spend the night out in the open."

  • "If you don't mind carrying my heavy butt somewhere, then sure," Jay joked, smiling at the other boy with amusement glimmering in his blue eyes.

  • Jay grinned at his boyfriend, stretching as he was set back on his feet. "Thanks, Damian," he said softly, looking around at the place the other boy had flown them to.

  • Jay watched him walk over to the creek, before heading slightly downstream to a slight pool and sliding under the water calmly. He floated easily on his back, letting his fingertips play in the currents.
