    The letter arrives on your 16th birthday. There is no return address, no explanation of how they got your address, or how they know who you are. All that is written is that the letter comes from a Rivercrest Academy, situated high in the Rocky Mountains of northern Canada. The letter is a letter of acceptance, inviting you to join the Academy for the remaining two years of your high school career. Without thinking about it, you accept, your family accepts. It is as if you were all expecting the letter. If you knew any better, you would realize there is something strange acting upon you, something drawing you to the secluded mountain school. Soon you are packing your bags – warmly – for the crisp Canadian weather.


    What you don’t know is that Rivercrest Academy is not any normal high school. It is an Academy for the supernatural, for the anatomically strange, for the genetically gifted. The moment you enter the mountains, you experience a piercing headache. That night, asleep in your dorm, you have a strange dream about transforming into an animal, and when you wake up you feel as if you have barely slept at all. Upon asking your roommate, you realize that she/he had the exact same dream, just as a different animal. Within hours, you have pieced it together. This is a school for shapeshifters.

He thinks his Mountain Lion form is cool but if you really want to annoy him just call him a male lioness. The name makes no sense which annoys him. He likes things to make sense.
