  • Katrina ate a little more of the treat, before folding the wrapper back over what was left of it. It was the best thing she had tasted ever, she wanted to save it.

  • Sin finished his meal and licked his fingers clean, getting up with a wince. He had forgotten about his back but it didn't bother him. He put the can somewhere where it wouldn't be in his way. "I would ask if you wanted to do something, but you can't be on your feet." He teased as he sat in front of her, biting his bottom lip in thought.

  • Katrina sighed inwardly. "Yeah...." She mumbled lamely, curling back up into her previous position. I'm being such an inconvenience to him. I'm sure he'd rather be up and walking around, not babysitting me. She thought, averting her eyes while they sat in silence.

  • Sin watched as she curled up and sighed before steetching out on his belly. It would at least be a week before her leg fully healed. Even then, it would leave a scar. He rested his cheek on the back of his hands and closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep.

  • Katrina spared a glance at her leg. Miraculously, even with how many times she tried to walk, the stitches hadn't come loose. Maybe.....a few more tries wouldn't hurt. Just until Sin woke up, if she could practice walking, maybe she wouldn't be such a pain. With that, she pushed herself up, headed to a corner, and merely paced a while. Sure she was limping, but she decided walking wasn't too hard.

  • Sin slept fitfully, his muscles twitching and spasming in his back around the scar. He woke silently, his heart pounding heavily in his chest and his eyes wide. At the sound of footsteps, he turned angrily to see her pacing. He kept quiet, fists clenched at his side as he watched her.

  • It was only a short while before Katrina leaned against the wall, sliding down it for a break. She hadn't noticed Sin watching her yet, and smiled to herself. That was good. I'll do it again in a while. Even just standing had been a task, so by this point she was exhausted.

  • "If you want to tear open your stitches, keep on walking Katrina." Sin said coldly as he stood from where he had been sleeping, shaking the nightmares away swiftly. He gazed at her with his jaw clenched and his arms folded, shaking his head as he walked towards the ladder.

  • Katrina jumped when he spoke, about to apologize before he left, but stopping herself. What compelled her to say what she did was absolutely beyond her. "Don't speak to me like I'm pathetic. If I wanna walk then I damn will. I'm trying to make it so you don't have to be inconvenienced with me so I'd appreciate if you didn't try to guilt me into listening to you." There were so many things she wanted to call him, but refrained from doing so. "The sooner I can walk, the sooner I'll leave. Wouldn't that make you happy?"

  • Sins head snapped over to look at her, his multi colored optics dark and cold. "No." He rumbled simply through gritted teeth beforr he sped up the ladder and out the trap door, moving a heavy dresser over it. He was going to be gone for a very long time. He had a habit of hurting people when he was angry and he didn't want to hurt Kat. He had only his dagger, but he didn't care as he headed out to the very edges of the ryined city.

  • "What a lie....." Katrina whimpered, hearing him close her in. She rested her forehead on her arms, and began sobbing. The first person who she thought might care about her, probably hated her now. She wanted to leave, but knew she couldn't. She despised knowing that all she could do right now was cry it out, and that's what she did, just because it was the only thing she was capable of right now.

  • Sin clenched the dagger tighty, thinking recklessly as he stomped through the streets. He was so angry at her because she reminded him of his friend, the only one who had ever cared for him. And she had been careless too, and gotten killed for it. He shook away the awful memory as his bottom lip trembled and he screamed in anger, suddenly punching a brick wall. He shook, letting the sweet pain flow through him as he blocked out everything. Sin didn't want Kat walking around as he was worried about her. A stranger. Someone he barely knew yet he felt like he had known her forever. He gazed at his raw and bleeding knuckles emotionlessly, turning and kept walking.

  • Katrina was able to stop long enough to crawl over to her ripped hoodie, which still layed in the middle of the room. She picked it up and hugged it close. A souvenir from when she had become free. It hurt a lot to think that Sin was the only person she had trusted for so long---....no. No he wasn't. That person in her dream was not Sin. Maybe, just maybe, if she tried, she could find that person. Then she wouldn't feel like she was bothering anyone. That person would certainly accept her if she found them. The only problem was, she had no idea who they were, or even what they looked like. Before she knew it, there were once again tears staining her cheeks.

  • Sin ran a hand roughly through his hair before turnng around, deciding to finally head back. He felt lost as he waked, and on edge as he gripped his dagger. He had no urge to leave Kat alone for too long. He looked around, seeing a walker sniffing the air, he crouched and slowly kept going. Again, his friend passed through his mind. He hadn't actually seen her die, but he had been seperated from her in the crowd of screaming people. He had heard her blood curdling scream. Sin shook his head and crept past the walker, finally spotting a familiar building. He paused and waited for the walker to pass him by before digging his dagger into its skull, silently killing it before he pulled the dagger out and wiped it clean before dashing to the trap door and moving the dresser.

  • Katrina lifted her head some when the familiar scraping sound was heard, and she pushed herself back into the corner, burying her face back into her hoodie and trying to make it seem like she was asleep. She didn't feel like talking, or apologizing, or whatever someone would naturally do in this situation. Though she still let tears escape, her face was hidden, and her shoulders didn't jerk, so she hoped she was convincing enough.

  • Sin dropped down the ladder, keeping his bruised and swollen knuckles hidden as he glanced at her. "I know you're awake....Have you been crying Kitty?" He asked softly as he hesitantly stepped over to her hooded form. He sat beside her and then wrapped his arms around her gently, hoping she wouldn't push him away.

  • Katrina wanted to resist, but didn't want to take her arms away from her face. So she shook her head in response to his question, and tried to wriggle out of his grip. As comforting as it was to be hugged, he was the last person she wanted to be comforted by.

  • Sin clenched his jaw tightly, keeping a firm grip on her. "Don't lie." He said gently as he gripped her arm carefully and pulled it away from her face easily. Just seeing the tears on her face hurt, as he knew he had been the cause of them. "I'm sorry." He murmured gently, his fingers gentle as he wiped away her tears. "Didn't I tell you not to cry Kitty?' He teased lightly, his smirk half hearted.

  • Katrina looked away almost immediately, wishing he would stop being so nice. She actually wished for him to hate her right now. She had made him angry, and deserved anything but this. She flinched as he wiped away her tears, not wanting such kind touches. At the reminder of her promise, she whimpered softly. "I'm sorry." She squeaked, voice barely a whisper, and she pulled her tear-dampened hoodie closer to her chest, as if it would save her life.

  • "Would you please look at me? I only got angry because I didn't want you to be that hurt again." Sin admitted quietly as she looked away, sliding his hand over her cheek to cup her chin and make her look at him. His breath caught as he realized how close they were but quickly shook it off s he gazed into her watery eyes.
