[justify]Robin looked down at Trouble and smiled. "Aw, thanks, Trouble. I'll steal you some gems tomorrow, sound good?"

Lightning woke up groggily and padded towards Robin, his eyes still droopy.[/justify]

[font=georgia]Trouble grinned, his blue-crystal eyes flashing. "Anytime."

Banette suddenly looked up, on high alert. He placed a hand over Robin's mouth so she wouldn't speak. "There's something upstairs." The Gijinka whispered.

[justify]Robin was about to talk again, when Banette covered her mouth. Her eyes widened in alarm when he whispered that. She felt her eyes water. She gently pulled Banette's hand away from her mouth and looked into his eyes. "Take Lightning and Trouble.. And.. Run," she whispered softly, wiping her tears away. "If there are hacks up there, they'll take you away in a heart beat." She hugged Banette tightly and shook her head. "I don't want you to get hurt," she mumbled into his shirt. [/justify]

"Sh, calm down." Banette focused on sound. "I...I don't think it's human. The footsteps are too light, and coordinated funny. Pokemon, more like." He gently pulled away from Robin. "I'm gonna check it out. Stay here."

[justify]Robin looked worriedly at Banette. "Be safe," she whispered quietly. She picked Trouble and Lightning up and crawled into the closet. She huddled them closely and sighed.

Lightning looked up at Robin, fear in his eyes.

Robin smiled and pet both of them. "It's okay," she mumbled. [/justify]

Banette turned invisible, then supposedly headed for the main floor.

Trouble nuzzled Robin's hand. "It'll be fine. Banette knows what he's doing."

[font=georgia]There was a thud, as if something had been knocked over, and quick scuffle of footsteps. Then, everything went quiet.

Until Banette reappeared in the basement where his friends were hiding. He looked amused. "You can come out, now. There's no threat..."

[justify]Robin went stiff when she heard the thud, and was ready to sprint out at any second. When Banette reappeared, however, she sighed of relief. "I was so scared.." She mumbled and looked at Banette with wide eyes. "W-What was it..?"

Lightning smiled and tugged on Trouble's arm. "Let's do something fun!"[/justify]

Banette held someone's young shiny Shinx in his hands. "It was her. Trouble, you know Fuse."

Trouble was about to suggest something to Lightning when he heard Banette. The gem-Pokemon smiled, and hurried over. "Yeah! What's she doing here?"

Fuse looked out of breath, very tired, but greeted Trouble with a happy squeak.

[justify]Robin suddenly blushed. She covered her mouth and shut her eyes tightly. She slowly opened them, her gaze shifting towards the shiny shinx. "S-So cute.." Her voice was high, as if she were trying to stop herself from squealing.

Lightning groaned. "Here we go.." He mumbled, sighing.[/justify]

[font=georgia]Banette chuckled. "Fuse stepped on some glass. Could you hold her for me, Robin, while I go grab bandages and a potion?"

Fuse pawed at the air, still looking down at Trouble, her tail waving playfully.

[justify]Robin nodded and held Fuse gently. She suddenly smirked at Trouble, her eyebrows wiggling. "Is she your girlfriend?"

Lightning tilted his head and stared at Trouble in surprise. [/justify]

[font=georgia]Trouble blushed and shook his head frantically. "No, we're just friends! She a bit too young, don't you think? Brother-sister relationship at most." He stuttered.

Banette went through his stuff for the supplies.

Fuse licked Robin's hand and curled up in her arms.

[justify]Robin giggled. "I was teasing you, calm down!" She pet Fuse and let out a small squeal. "She's adorable!"

Lightning glared at Robin and nuzzled her softly.[/justify]

[font=georgia]"Remember how I said before meeting you, we lived with a Gijinka for 3 months? Fuse is that Gijinka's Pokemon partner." Banette called over his shoulder.

[justify]Robin nodded slowly. "Oh, okay.." She pet Fuse and smiled. "Where's her partner, then..?" [/justify]

[font=georgia]"That's what I'm about to ask," Banette replied, walking back over. He gently took Fuse from Robin, then sat down on an old wooden chair with the tiny Shinx. "Alright, girl. What's up? Where's Rai?"

Fuse started meowing Shinx-talk, which was probably funny for Robin, who alone couldn't understand. She kept at it while Banette fixed her paw, occasionally stressing parts with cute, discrete ear twitches and tail lashing.

Banette nodded slowly when the shiny Shinx finished. "Rai, Fuse's trainer, has been captured by some Gijinka Detainment Hacks," He told Robin.

[justify]Robin cracked her knuckles and sent Banette a large smirk. "Does this mean we could kick some a-s? I'm dying to let my anger out on someone."

Lightning jumped onto Banette's lap and sniffed Fuse's nose.[/justify]

[font=georgia]Banette hesitated. Didn't he just promise to help Robin search for scientists? Well...that could probably wait. Rai couldn't. Yeah, they'd search afterwards. Maybe, even, the prison would have some useful information; witnesses, records. Anything. "Seems so." He mirrored Robin's smirk.

Fuse let out a surprised squeak and stumbled. She paused, shook her head as if to clear it, then sniffed Lightning back, smiling shyly. "S-Shinx." "H-hello."

[justify]Robin stood up and stretched. "Hey, wanna see something cool?" She looked at Banette with wide eyes.

Lightning smiled and held in a laugh. "Hi! I'm Lightning. You must be Fuse, right?" [/justify]
