    Coyote took deep breaths.


    Shadow Mountain watched from behind, staring down at the kit.


    The kit took in a breath. (I'll name her after she opens her eyes...)

    Spottedwing sighed and nudged the kit towards Coyote, "now we really have to keep Coyote safe. She's got a kit to look after."


    Badgerpaw watched from the entrance, a bit hidden

    Coyote heaved as if she was going to throw up, but nothing was in her stomach.


    The kit scrambled for milk.

    "Shadow Mountain, make sure Coyote doesn't pass out while I go get some Borage for her" SpottedWing mewed before leaving the den swiftly.


    Badgerpaw edged inside the den, curiously

    Shadow Mountain nodded, thinking evilly. But he saw Badgerpaw and growled to himself. He shot a look at the apprentice. "Can I be alone with my sister for a few moments?" Shadow Mountain asked nicely.

    Badgerpaw got up and went posies the den, but he sat right outside but just out of sight.

    Shadow Mountain looked back, scenting the apprentice was near. "So much for privacy." He mutters. Shadow Mountain sighs to himself, then lays down next to his sister. "We've come a long way." He whispers into her ear. Coyote swallows. "Why did you leave me? Leave me behind? I told you I would find you. That I'd make you pay." Shadow Mountain purrs, but his eyes are angry. Only his back showed from the entrance of the den, and his words were only heard by Coyote.


    Coyote swallowed again, considering yowling out. But by then, Shadow Mountain would've killed her. She spoke softly too, "I didn't leave you behind. You clearly saw me leaving, but it was your choice."


    Shadow Mountain growled lowly. "My choice?! MY CHOICE?!" He yowled. Then he did a voice check. "I was stuck with my Twolegs, and you wouldn't wait for me! I blindly searched for you, and now I finally found you!" He angrily whispered. Then he got up, and began to lick Coyote's kit.


    Coyote sighed in fright. She swallowed, and watched Shadow Mountain lick her newborn.

    Icekit barked at him, from the courned of the room,"Errrr.....Wolf, wolf!"

    Badgerpaw walked in "Stop barking Icekit! Your going to make the newborn angry!" he scolded

    Badgerpaw growled back, "Yes he's deputy, and unless you want him to go get your mother I suggest you leave him alone! Coyote's his sister so get!" his eyes flared with anger

    Badgerpaw sighed, "Moonpool! Could you tell Icekit to shush?" he yowled, anger tinged in his tone

    "Icekit, Shaddow Mountain is not the thing that attaked Coyote!"Moonpool meowed, and picked him up.
