    Hearing his voice so close makes me jump and slam the door. I sink down in front of the door. I'm surprised that I haven't started crying yet. I stare at my human face in the full length mirror. Shifting to my dog and back to human. Standing up I walk out strongly even I don't feel strong though. "Uhha," I answer.

    Only a few people remain at the mall
    I think Romeo is going to the park and Piper is at the grave of Archie's young owner who died in the plain crash. FYI Romeo is human, Piper is dog.

    Spotty sighed and sat down on a city bench. He completely forgot about finding a job and was just wanting to be alone for a few moments. He watched cars zip by and people pass quickly. He guessed he looked a bit shady in his semi-torn shirt and dirty face. He didn't care much; he was enjoying not having to speak.

    Mia walked with Day looking around at all the buildings around them. She began to skip and saw the mall and pointed at it. "Can we go there?" she asked looking up at Dayton.

    Spotty yawned and looked up at the sky. He found this place a bit too loud for his comfort and looked around. He spotted an emergency fire escape and decided he'd go onto of the building. He stood from where he sat and walked over to it. He began climbing after making sure nobody was looking at him.

    Spotty reached the end of the fire-escape ladder and looked at the small amount of brick he'd have to climb in order to get to the roof. After taking a deep breath, he quickly climbed onto the roof. He shifted into his original state and stood there letting the wind blow through his short fur.

    The black wolf hybrid went into the park. It was a bit darker then earlier and not many people roamed it at the time. He laid back into a shadowy area that was overlooked by a large oak tree. He then caught a familiar scent that belonged to a member of his pack and he stood up.

    Piper smiled when she spotted the alpha. She walked over and sat down next to him.
    "It'll get cold soon," Romeo watched as a border collie took the human's place.
    She wagged her tail, "Yeah. But that means we can find and rescue more pups.
    The alpha shook his head, "It means that the humans will try to grab anything cute and fluffy to gift wrap. When it gets hot again, we may have to be ready to take off with a batch of abandoned pups."

    The hybrid laid back down, "The rest of the pack should be grouping up here soon. The great oak is mostly for alphas and betas to stay when the meetings start."
    "Fine," Piper sighed, "I bet you'll let the one you fall for stay near your tree."
    "That is to be seen in the future," he watched as she padded away from the tree's shade. Or what was left of it.

    Piper sat down again. The tree had roots that made a half circle around it, so it was easy to see where the pack leaders had to be in the meeting. She glanced around to see that the people in the park have left and that darkness had almost completely fallen.
    The border collie laid down as she waited for the rest of the pack. Her mind started to wonder what the meeting would be about. Meetings seemed to be once a week or two. Mostly they were held to spread gossip into pack news. Or to greet newcomers and tell of anything that would be a danger or concern.
