  • (Yeaa sorry xD I accidentally cut my arm and then I studied a test for tmrrow xD)

"...That is strange," Oscar commented, muttering under his breath. He began to pad around a little, sniffing about. "A human covered with a vampire's scent?? Its weird."

  • (How'd you cut your arm? And was it in the same spot as it was on Chris in this? His was on his forearm.)

Raymond sniffed around a bit more and stopped. "You were running with Aspen," he breathed lightly. "Where did he go?" The scent was worth tellin someone. Maybe Leah. But then she had Josh to worry about with that wound.

  • (LOL it is on the forearm xD accidentally cut it with this stainless blade thing. Don't ask, I was stupid xD)

"We ran together a little bit up ahead, and that was when we decided we'd split up to cover more ground. He went over there, towards the mountains while I was to go the opposite way. We were supposed to meet here, but Aspen didn't come for a while. That was when I caught the scent. I hoped for him to be back with the Pack..." Oscar's sentence trailed off, but he quickly continued to speak. "We agreed we wouldn't go too far. That would have meant that Aspen wasn't to go up the mountain. If he's there, then he must have found something..." Again his sentence trailed off. "What do we do??"

  • (Smh lol)

Raymond looked to Oscar, eyes worried. "Go get Leah," he instructed. "Ask her to come with you and bring her to me." Before Ocsar could object, Raymond added something. "Whatever happened to Aspen, I won't risk it happening to me. I need Leah with me. Go. And May the wind lend you speed."

  • (LOLL xD)

Oscar broke into a run towards the Sanctuary after a slight hesitation. The Hunter...?? What can she do?? He wondered, but then shrugged it off as he averted his attention to his path ahead. He wouldn't question his Leader. Up ahead he was stopped by the guards. He guessed it was because of his unfamiliar fur, for he was not Raymond. So instead he paced around the gates and then let out a howl; he didn't have time to reason with the guards.

Leah was in the lab, a frustrated expression on her face as she tried to figure out what the unknown herbs were. But then her head immediately lifted at the sound of a howl. "A werewolf...??" She frowned, for it didn't sound like Raymond's. She quickly took everything she needed anyway and turned straight for the door, rapidly hurrying down towards the courtyard.

At the sight of the large wolf she slowed down. "Its fine, let him be," she said to the tense guards as she walked towards him. "Are you with Raymond??" Oscar released a soft but low sound, not really a growl. He nodded and jerked his head in the direction of the forest, where Raymond was. Her eyes followed his gaze. "He needs me over there??" She asked with a frown, looking back to the wolf. What could he need me for?? Oscar began poking at her leg with his nose; politely but urgently. He then lowered towards the ground, and gestured for her to get on his back. Nodding Leah carefully got on, and the two raced into the forest in the direction of where Oscar had left Raymond. And surely up ahead the familiar wolf was soon in view. "Raymond, I'm here," Leah said as she carefully got off of Oscar's back as he came to a stop and lowered towards the ground.

  • (I turned British in FallClan xD)

"Come with me," Raymond rumbled, placing his head between her legs and raised up, his neck becoming like a slide. "Oscar, tell mate to watch over the Pack. We'll be back around nightfall." Without waiting for a response, Raymond jumped forward, following Aspen's stale scent while explaining what had happened on the way out of the trees.

  • (LOL I saw. After reading it, I reread it in a British accent xD)

Oscar watched the two leave before turning around and sprinting back towards the Pack.

"They could be the same people working for the Dark One," she breathed. Leah looked straight ahead, frowning in concern. "A human covered with the scent of a vampire.." Much like the other strangers we've encountered, she thought, and immediately the Amnite came into mind. "We'll find him," she said reassuringly with a pat on Raymond's shoulder. She was referring to Aspen, the Runner. "Don't worry."

  • (XD cause they say must of been instead of must have so yea lol xD)

The farther they drew away from the woods, the slower Raymond went, uncomfortable with the open areas. Then he froze. A quiet whimpering came from somewhere off to their left. Raymond started trotting fast, his gait much like that of a horse. Then he stopped. Laying on the ground in a puddle of blood was Aspen, his cedar brown fur matted. "My lord," he whined upon seeing Raymond. "Oh my God he's alive," Raymond whispered, slowly padding to his fellow Wolf.

Slowly, as Aspen weakened, he began to change. Fur began to disappear as his body shrunk down to human size. Claws turned into nails, his muzzle shrunk and ears returned to those of a human. His face was pale, his thick brown hair matted and messed up. Now that he was no longer a wolf, a clear gash was visible along his side and chest. It was deep and must have been the cause of the bleeding. The way it was suggested it had been created by a sword and the way the wound looked horrible meant the sword must have been....
"Silver," whispered Raymond. "Oh God no...." Slowly, Raymond touched his muzzle to Aspen's cheek, whimpering quietly. "Leah, please." Raymond whispered, looking up in fear. "He'll die without treatment." The ways his eyes listened with tears meant he must have had a connection with this he-wolf, this man. Most likely a family tie.

  • (LOLL I've been saying it out loud like a 100 times and it still sounds kinda strange xD)

"Wait." Leah lowered herself onto the ground and slowly approached Aspen, her eyes locked on his to show she meant no harm. She circled around him and then knelt by his side. "You're right, Raymond. Without proper treatment..." she took in a deep breath, letting it out in a shaky sigh. The wound did not look pretty. "Raymond, you know I'm no healer. I could try to stop the bleeding, but Tia is better skilled in dealing with serious wounds." It was fortunate she had brought her satchel. It was by accident, but she was never more glad that she had. From it she pulled out a bandage that was made out of a slightly thicker material than normal, and she began to unravel it. "It may hurt a little, but please bear with me. If it hurts too much, I will stop," she whispered gently to Aspen as she began to wrap and cover the wound, spreading it out to cover most of the gash. Upon immediate contact the bandage soaked red.

  • (XD that's the British for you lol)

Aspen yelped upon the touch of the bandage and emitted a weak growl. Raymond lowered himself near the wounded man. Hands slowly grabbed fur and Aspen began to pull himself up and over the wolf's shoulders as far as he could go until he was laying flat on his stomach. Then he let himself dangle, eyes closed. "We have to get him back to your Sanctuary," Raymond whispered fearfully.

  • (LOL )

"The quicker the better," Leah said while nodding in agreement. "But in this case... we should go steadily, or it'll be painful for him. Come on, let's head back." She kept an eye on Aspen in case anything happened to him, such as losing balance. She made sure he was steady one more time, and she looked around their surroundings in case anyone was still near by before starting their way towards the Sanctuary.

  • Insert Blood Night here)

Night fell when they reached the gates of the Sanctuary. The guards let Raymond through without protesting. Raymond took Aspen to the healing wing, where Josh looked up. It had been a few days and the bandage Eric had prepared was wrapped around him. "Who's that?"
"Aspen Mason," Raymond answered. "My little brother."

  • His younger brother.. She thought, nodding to herself. That is why he seemed overly worried. "And he needs to be looked at right away. Raymond, come over here so we can lay him down." Leah gestured to a bed a bit far off from Joshua's, and she quietly called for Tia.

  • Tia popped out of her room, looking tired before she saw the new man. "Who's that?" She asked as she emerged, pulling her hair back into a tail. "He's my brother, Tia," rumbled Raymond, eyes glazed with worry. "He's been cut with a sliver sword and....he'll die without treatment." He whimpered when he neared the bed and waited for Leah to help his brother onto the bed. "Silver?" Tia sounded worried as well. Silver killed werewolves. "I'll do what I can, Raymond."

  • "And I'll help with whatever I can." Leah reached out and gently held on to Aspen, carefully lowering him down onto the bed with the help of Raymond. She knew Tia must be exhausted - her face showed it all. Leah didn't want her to over work, for the Healer was pregnant after all.

  • (How was the test?)

Tia nodded her thanks and carefully undid Leah's patch work, examining the wound a little closer. Then she went to the fridge and pulled out a bag. "Josh," the vampire looked up. "Smell his blood. What type is he?" Josh carefully stood and joined the others at the bedside. He took a deep breath. "B+," he said after a moment of thinking. Tia nodded and handed the bag to Leah. "Get that attached to him quickly." She instructed and then began to work on a recipe of some sort that involved liqueur. Once it was done, she cleansed the wound which made the wolf yell out in pain. Raymond had to quickly change back to hold his brother down by the shoulders.

  • (Good good lol tho I did give up studying last night xD)

Leah had connected the bag to a tube in which she inserted into Aspen's arm, and then hung it up by a stand. She gave a gentle squeeze before leaving it alone. She tensed slightly at the wolf's scream; it sounded painful.

  • (XD to be honest, the only things I study for now are projects, not tests lol. I had an exam, one exam for effective speaking last quarter, which I know I passed lol. And that was before thanks giving I do believe. It was awesome)

Tia began to mumble softly to the wolf. Things like "It's okay," and "It'll be over soon" came from her mouth as she worked the solution into his wound. Then she began to apply something else. Something that looked strange. It looked like fire, or at least the coloring did. It made Aspen's wolf emerge, snarling rising from his jaws much like it had when Raymond had been shot and the bullet was being removed. Normal human teeth changed into deadly canines and his shoulders began to expand. Raymond allowed an Alpha look to come over his face and he emitted the most fearsome roar ever. Aspen stopped changing only for a brief moment and began whimpering as a wolf would.

Tia finally got the wound bandaged and she was gently stroking his hair, as though she was comforting an injured puppy. Slowly, Raymond released his brother and breathed relief. Then he seemed to notice a small pouch on the healer that wasn't there before. "Gaining a bit of weight there," he teased lightly. Tia beamed and smiled happily. Raymond frowned, confused as to Tia's suddenly happy mood. She'd normally scold him for poking fun at her like that.

  • (LOLL no ones give a sht any more xDD )

Leah was rearranging the bed a little for better comfort for Aspen when her head lifted up at Raymond's comment. She smiled too and then laughed a little. She was happy for Tia. "Ohh, its not because she's been eating a lot," Leah countered, finally done with the bed. "And its not because she's been lazy either."

  • (XD oh God a huge ass headache >.<)

Raymond, like a curious dog, tilted his head to the side in confusion. Tia gently held her belly and grinned. "I'm pregnant," she whispered. Raymond's eyes grew wide.
